New Interview*: Fergie talks about her working with MJ!

thanks I have not seen this yet...

the transcript was posted, not the video, kaymon already knows about this, it was posted at the kop board

I don't want to offend anyone on here who might like her..... but come on the gurl can't sing *runs off hiding* I wish she never touched the song because it just falls flat down with her vocals, but that's just my own opinion so please don't get mad at me:p

I think Beat It is bad, but I don't think anyone could do that song justice. But to say that she can't sing is pretty ignorant to me. Listen especially to some of her older work before drugs took part of her voice. She's good at what she does.

Fergie can sing. I think she actually has a good voice. It's just the type of music she sings really doesn't showcase that at all.

I actually like the Beat It Mix, it's not the best 1, but I like it.

Well all I'm saying from what I've heard of her live on tv sounded really tasteless (and then they go in to the recording booth and edit her voice to improve her singing ability) however I think she is able to sing SOME songs quite fairly but obviously beat it wasn't one of them. NO HARD FEELINGS OK? =)

FRESH from supporting the Police on their sell-out tour, Fergie talks about dealing with paps on the beach, Black-Eyed Peas and long-distance love.
You supported the Police in Australia. Were you a fan?

Oh yeah. To be a trio and to sound that good . . . I'm not a musician. I can't play an instrument, I can just sing and crawl on the floor and talk some crap.

You've just turned Michael Jackson's Beat It into a duet for the Thriller reissue . . . how did that happen?

I knew Will.I.Am was working on it. I asked him who was doing Beat It, nobody had done it. I did my best impersonation of Michael Jackson.

Did you meet him?

He wasn't there. But I talked to him.

And?

He said, "I love your vocals, they're really gritty. I like the grit in your voice''. We were talking about a possible video, where we do the guy-versus-girl thing.

Even by your surreal standards, surely that's fairly surreal . . .

Yeah, I'm on the phone to Michael Jackson. Everything's quite surreal to me at the minute. I'm engaged!
