hi im a longtime fan (37)and have joined this forum.
love off the wall,thriller and bad albums and certain tracks from dangerous,history and invincible.
as a kid i still remember listening to beat it and billie jean constantly on a little mono cassette player,some of you youngsters dont realise how long it took to rewind them things!
At the time his music was so different,and his charisma so different from any other artist.
anyway after history and invincible didnt really follow mj,i had other priorities in my life and with constant negative press surrounding him i found myself drifting apart from MJ but still loved the music with Mj albums often accompanying me on long car journeys.
As a busy working man i dont have much time for internet forums but after the sad passing away of MJ, i discovered this forum and i have to tell you,this forum is absolutely fantastic,filled with knowledgeable people discussing issues in an intelligent manner that i have never known about.
i have literally been amazed by the amount of bootleg music available which i never knew existed such as dangerous acetate,audio recordings of concerts and concert dvds (currently downloading the bad yokohama DVD.
a special mention must goto dj oxygene im literally gobsmacked that a person can take footage and convert it to DTS sound and enhance the video (shame i dont have DL burner). even the official dangerous DVD is stereo as are the number ones DVD that i own.
I have also bought the conspiracy book which again i have never seen in any uk bookstore - i have tried waterstones,hmv,borders,whsmith etc
MJ was unique - in terms of singing,songwriting,showmanship,achievements and he had charisma in spades. No artist comes close to him however please remember he was only a human with god given talents the like of which we may never see again.
