But I have always wondered about how Geraldo had so many of the people on in 93,94 before the allegations broke & then after. He has such a tabloid connection. I think he had 2 shows on the copyright lawsuits of the songs too.

Then he's MJ friend during the trial???

He's close with Barresi & had him on his show in 2006-7?

He's with Fox & so is RF.

He gave out troop info during the invasion as I recall - whoops.

Seems like medical experts are saying that too, not based on any bad health, NO they say his health was perfect, but based on other conditions IF the autopsy is telling the truth. This is all messed up.

I remember not to long ago, on his show he brought up someone to talk about Michael and they went on saying some ill words about Michael and the man kind of stopped or didn't say much because he knew that Geraldo was "sensitive" on the subject of Michael. And I saw Geraldo's expression, and he was kind of uneasy about it all, or that's how he looked to me.

Another thing I have always been curious about is the fight during the trial- old business - but there has been several versions:

RJ said something on twitter (which I can't remember & couldn't find on twitter)
RF said it had to do with paperwork filed in another case
BO said it was a difference in strategy as I recall
Taibbi thought it had to do with he saw Oxman with Barresi
a lawyer on CTV thought it might have been staged

I have always been disappointed with Mesereau after the trial in his interviews as I did not think he made a good case for MJ after the trial. I really thought he should have given specific reasons for his acquittal.

Ex. in the Barbara Walters interview he said the case was built on "sand, falsehoods, never should have been brought". He mentioned the 14 counts of molestation, that it was a 'death penalty case" - he talked about his legal clinic. He said MJ was "battered emotionally & physically" & he was a great human being. I am sure he mentioned he was innocent also.

In the Jane Velez Mitchell interview he mentioned the intelligent jury & he was very specific about one being a civil engineer, there was military background etc. He mentioned that MJ was a "child like naive person".


To me those things did not win the acquittal for MJ.
IMO he should have given specific reasons that the boy, his family were not believable, the prior acts etc. That is why I was disappointed.

Maybe I'm wrong, I hate being wrong - a character flaw I should probably work on.

Los Angeles (CNN) -- A task force made up of local and federal law enforcement agencies is actively pursuing leads into the 1997 slaying of hip hop artist Christopher Wallace, better known as Biggie Smalls or Notorious B.I.G., according to two sources familiar with the investigation.

According to one law enforcement source, the investigation into the 13-year-old unsolved case was "reinvigorated" months ago as a result of new information, but the source would not elaborate further because of the ongoing investigation that includes the Los Angeles Police Department, L.A. County District Attorney's Office and the FBI.

On March 9, 1997, Wallace, 24, was shot and killed while riding in a Suburban that was driving away from a music industry party at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles police said a lone gunman in a Chevy Impala pulled alongside the Suburban and opened fire on Wallace, who was in the passenger seat. Witnesses described the suspect as being an African-American man wearing a suit and bow tie.

The main theory behind shooting was payback in a so-called rap war between East and West Coast hip hop artists and their record companies- Bad Boy Entertainment in New York, which represented Wallace, and Death Row Records, headed by Marion "Suge" Knight, in Los Angeles. Six months earlier in Las Vegas, a gunman opened fire on a car driven by Knight, killing one of his top artists Tupac Shakur.

That murder remains unsolved also.

"East Coast was Biggie, West Coast was Tupac," Wallace's mother Voletta Wallace told a filmmaker in the 2002 documentary "Biggie and Tupac."

"Come on now, you're messing with lives here and that's exactly what happened. Two lives were lost as a result of what? Stupidity?" Voletta Wallace told the filmmaker.

Retired Los Angeles Police Detective Russell Poole, who worked on the Wallace case, told CNN that he believes Knight was behind the murder, even though the Death Row Records' boss was serving time on a probation violation at the time.

"Suge Knight ordered the hit," Poole said, adding that he believes it was arranged by Reggie Wright Jr., who headed security for Death Row Records.

Reggie Wright Jr. told CNN he had nothing to do with the murder, and Knight has repeatedly said he had nothing to do with the crime. Poole said he retired early from the LAPD, in part, because he was thwarted in following leads in the Wallace case involving police officers, some of whom worked off-duty for Death Row Records.

"I think I was getting too close to the truth," Poole said. "I think they feared that the truth would be a scandal."

One of the officers Poole said was involved is David Mack, who was sent to prison for robbing a bank in 1997, the same year Wallace was killed.

Poole said Mack owned the same type of car driven by the gunman who shot Wallace, and Poole said a friend of Mack's resembles a police sketch of the shooter.

CNN was unable to reach Mack for comment, but when allegations of his involvement in Wallace' slaying originally surfaced more than a decade ago, his criminal defense attorney Donald Re called the claims ridiculous.

Poole also assisted Wallace's family in their wrongful death lawsuit against the Los Angeles Police Department alleging a cover-up in the investigation.

Los Angeles City Councilman Bernard Parks was the chief of police when Poole was investigating, and he told CNN the accusations about a police cover-up are "absurd."

"We would have never ignored a lead that could have helped us solve that murder," Parks said.

Perry Sanders, Voletta Wallace's attorney, told CNN the family's lawsuit, which was originally filed in 2002, was put on hold in April after Los Angeles police said turning over evidence from the case would interfere with a beefed up investigation.

Mack was released from federal prison on May 14.

YARMOUTH, Maine – Evidence of O.J. Simpson's innocence was held back in the 1995 trial in which he was acquitted in the murder of his ex-wife and her friend in Los Angeles, one of his former lawyers says in a new document.
In the 20,000-word document, F. Lee Bailey tells of four people who could have bolstered Simpson's case but never testified. He also gives an overview of the sensational trial from his own perspective.
Simpson was found not guilty. Most Americans are convinced that he is guilty, Bailey said, but the document might persuade some doubters that he is innocent.
Bailey wrote the document, "The Simpson Verdict," in 2007 as a proposal for a book that never materialized. He published it on his website Sunday.
"It's time somebody put out the real facts of the case," he told The Associated Press.
In the document, Bailey said the defense team was prepared to call four people who never testified — a forensic scientist, an expert on battered women, a blood expert and the person whose possible testimony he says is the most important of the four: a man who might have seen the killers.
That witness, he wrote, saw a woman the night of the murders matching Nicole Brown Simpson's description in an apparent confrontation with two men, neither of whom was O.J. Simpson. Upon hearing of the murders the next day, the witness recalled what he saw on a tape recording and wrote a detailed description and sketch of his observations.
But the defense team decided not to call any of the four to the witness stand out of fear that additional jurors would be dismissed and a mistrial declared if the eight-month trial didn't soon end, Bailey wrote. Bailey said Monday he thinks the real killers were out to collect a drug debt and killed Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman after mistaking them for their targets.
The document might sway a sector of the public into believing in Simpson's innocence in the 1995 case, Bailey said. But he knows there's another group whose minds couldn't be changed "with a sledgehammer," and thinks the trial damaged his reputation among that group.
"Among the rednecks of America, which there are many more than people seem to realize, it was terribly damaging," he said. "I got blamed for O.J.'s acquittal."
Bailey was part of Simpson's defense team when the former NFL star was acquitted in the June 1994 deaths of Nicole Simpson and Goldman.
Bailey, who now lives and works as a consultant in this town 10 miles north of Portland, said his agent asked him to write an overview of the Simpson case for a publisher who was interested in a book. But the idea was shelved following the turmoil and eventual cancellation of Simpson's book, "If I Did It," in which Simpson put forth a hypothetical description of the murders.
But Bailey has shared his document with several dozen people over the years, and a number of them have urged him to release it. His website developer suggested he put it online, and it first appeared on both his website and that of the Portland Press Herald newspaper.
Although Simpson was found not guilty in a court of law, Bailey said it's important to prove him innocent in the court of public opinion.
"O.J. has what I call the damnation of an acquittal," Bailey said.
Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred, who represented Nicole Brown Simpson's family during Simpson's trial, said she doesn't see any "smoking gun" in Bailey's document that might persuade people who think he was guilty to think otherwise.
If Bailey's evidence were that strong, she said, it would have been brought into the later civil trial in which Simpson was found liable for the deaths and ordered to pay a $33.5 million judgment.
"If Mr. Bailey can't think of anything better than trying to help the public reputation of O.J. Simpson, that's really sad," Allred said.
The last time Bailey talked to Simpson was in 2008, the night before Simpson he was found guilty of kidnapping, armed robbery and other charges for his role in the gunpoint robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas hotel. He is serving a nine- to 33-year sentence.
Bailey said he isn't shopping his document in hopes of a book deal — although he wouldn't turn down the right offer — but still hopes to get it into the public arena.
He's not surprised that the document got more than 20,000 hits its first day online.
"I can get a firestorm going anywhere in the United States by saying 'O.J.,'" he said.
Besides Simpson, Bailey has represented clients including Dr. Sam Sheppard, Patricia Hearst and Albert DeSalvo, the man who confessed to being the Boston Strangler, over the course of a storied legal career. He has also been a controversial figure, and has been barred from practicing law in Florida and Massachusetts.
Bailey was disbarred in Florida in 2001 for mishandling $6 million worth of stock for a client. After reviewing the Florida case, Massachusetts disbarred him two years later.

FBLA: What did you do on Schwarzenegger?
BARRESI: Searched for the names and addresses of his detractors. Anyone who may want to harm him, should he run for office.
FBLA: This was obviously before he was Governor.
BARRESI: Yes.
FBLA: Did you make a list?
BARRESI: A mile long.
FBLA: And, Stallone?
BARRESI: I&#8217;m not at liberty to talk about that one.

It gives them a false sense of safety, hiding in the shadows, like a frightened rat.

BARRESI: I remember one guy in particular. Tony and me had a long conversation about him. Tony said he deserved a good beating. But in the end, he was dealt with the legal way &#8212; in the courts.

BARRESI: Well, next month Judge Fischer will be handing down his sentence. I attended Tony&#8217;s trial quite a few times. I got a strong sense that her honor is fair and impartial. FBLA: How long did you work for Anthony Pellicano.
BARRESI: Off and on for almost ten years.
FBLA: Pellicano dealt with a lot of high profile Hollywood cases. Did you assist him with any involving celebrity?
BARRESI: Yes, starting in 1993, with Michael Jackson and ending, on the day of his arrest, with a fire we were putting out for Tom Cruise.
FBLA: And in between?
BARRESI: Let’s see, in between, there was Eddie Murphy, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Barry Bonds, to name a few.
FBLA: What did you do on Schwarzenegger?
BARRESI: Searched for the names and addresses of his detractors. Anyone who may want to harm him, should he run for office.
FBLA: This was obviously before he was Governor.
BARRESI: Yes.
FBLA: Did you make a list?
BARRESI: A mile long.
FBLA: And, Stallone?
BARRESI: I’m not at liberty to talk about that one.
FBLA: How about, Barry Bonds?
BARRESI: The same song you always hear in Hollywood, but sung to a different tune. Some gold digger tried to shake him down by claiming that she was carrying his baby. It turned out not to be true.

What was your -- how did you hear about it, Liza?

LIZA MINNELLI, AWARD-WINNING ENTERTAINER, MICHAEL'S FRIEND: Oh, Larry, I couldn't believe it, honey. I -- I got a call at 2:00 in the morning telling me that -- from a lawyer telling me some that some -- a lawyer, telling me that he's gone into cardiac arrest -- they said what had happened was that he had been complaining of chest pains, you know?

This was not on purpose. He was complaining saying there's really something wrong. And the doctor was with him and he went into cardiac arrest. You know? And all I remember is what a -- he was such a good friend. He was such a good man. You know, he was a lovely, lovely man and a genius. He changed show business history.
