Preliminary Hearing 5/1/11 Day two. Discussion thread

It could be argued that Murray knew CPR, but never used it in application before. For example, my brother had to take a CPR class before he started teaching. If something happened and he had to do CPR, I am not too sure how he will perform.

Yeah, but your brother isn't a heart specialist. It would just seem those procedures would be so basic to a "practicing" cardiologist's skill set that he would've used them with some regularity throughout his career.

I'm beginning to believe Murray was a cardiologist in title only. That he got the academics, maybe even did an internship or two, but never was a full fledge praciticing heart specialist. That would fall in line with your reasoning that he hadn't had to perform CPR, etc. in a long while. Because he's coming off like a life guard who doesn't even know how to swim.

bouee I love you , you know that ,right ? :). THANKS FOR ALVAREZ's TWEET.

the IV bag with the vial inside was not connected to MJ that's what he said, THANKS GOD.
so we were right..per the coroner report ..it was in Michael's leg...that is good news

Wasn't it like 12 noon, when this whole thing occurred? How dark could the room have been? Weren't there reports of the TV being on, at the time, and Michael always said he preferred to sleep in a more lighted setting. Aside from that, if it was that dark, how was Murray able to see what he was doing? And how was he able to figure out what bottles/bags he should hide, and that of which he felt can remain in the room?

That is a great way not to talk about what is going on in court

I've noticed that with Michael's trial, it was the leading story every morning and night on these news/talk shows. Now the coverage seems so sporadic. I just don't get it. They were hanging on to every word when they thought he might go to jail, but can't now that justice is being sought in his name.

The chef, Kia Chase testified. The only noteworthy thing she testified to was that Dr. Murray did not ask her to call 911 when around 12:05 pm, he came down the stairwell, called for her to "Get security, get Prince." She testified that normally, Dr. Murray would come downstairs to the kitchen to get the juice she would prepare for Michael around 10 am. Dr. Murray did not come down at all to get the juice that morning. She also noted that the dinner she prepared the night before and left in the refrigerator for when they returned from rehearsals at the Staple Center, was untouched when she arrived around 8:30 am that day.

The first paramedic, Richard Senneff, who entered the house is now on the stand under direct examination.

yeah you would think the media had an agenda wouldnt you!!

My point is if you never done something before it doesn't matter if you are train, you still never did it. There is a different in learning to be a doctor and actually using everything you know on the field. If he learned CPR seventeen years ago and never used it once, it is possible to forget something.

I am not in the medical field, but there are things I forget in my own major and I have to look it up to see if I'm doing things right.

However, I still said that doesn't explain the CPR on the bed on given CPR in the first place to a person with a heartbeat. I would think anyone would at least remember to put a person on a hard surface before beginning CPR.

Doctors have to keep these skills up to date for this precise reason. In the UK, we have to pass either Immediate Life Support or Advanced Life Support courses (depending on what field etc you're working in) at least every 2 years to take refresher courses. These courses are also done on mannequins etc with scenarios to simulate real-life situations. So it's not like just learning the theory of it from a textbook.

I imagine it would be a similar situation in the USA.

To those discussing Flomax, yes it's a medication most commonly used for symptomatic treatment of enlarged prostates. The post-mortem report also did state that Michael's prostate was enlarged. This is common in a 50 year old male.

why is it good news? sorry dont understand it?

that the ivbag with the wite substence is not connected to michael ? it could have been earlyer?

according to utream..Murray told paramedic he was treating Michael for dehydration....he lied to the paramedic...paramedic asked Murray when did this happen and Murray said ..just now...Murray lied right from the beginning..... i am disgusted...

It good that it was in his leg instead of his neck, as it would be easier for the defense to make a claim MJ overdosed himself. With an IV in his leg that's harder to believe...

When Murray asked a bodyguard if he knows how to do CPR what the bodyguard answered????? Anybody knows what was the answer????

EMT Testifies MJ Dead for a While ... Murray Covered-Up

An EMT who arrived at Michael Jackson's house 4 minutes after the 911 call says Michael was dead when he arrived, and it looked like he had been dead for a long time before Dr. Conrad Murray called 911.

Richard Senneff testified when he arrived at MJ's house and saw MJ, he looked like a hospice patient -- extremely frail.

Senneff says he believes Murray must have waited at least 20 minutes before calling 911, based on the condition of the body. MJ's EKG was flatlined.

And Senneff said, when he asked Murray if MJ had been taking meds, all Murray volunteered was lorazepam (Ativan). Murray never uttered a peep about Propofol.

Murray told Senneff Jackson had been "dehydrated."

Because if the IV was in the leg it would be pretty much impossible for MJ to self inject with propofol, which blows the defences claims of self injection out of the water. If it was the neck then its not so impossible to self inject.

As I said, he did a poor job because drugs, in Murray's name, were still all over the floor. He also didn't hide the injection, but the IV that had no drugs in it. Don't you think that is kind of strange?

Him claiming that he wants to sells his story doesn't help. Since we all know tabs pay more the juicer the story is. Like having both the kids upstairs and hiding evidences that was still in plain sight.

Like I said, if Paris was really upstairs when these events happen, why didn't the family put her in the AEG lawsuit like Prince?

Based on yesterday's testimony it was my understanding that Prince was in the room and saw his father and Paris was outside in the hallway. That may be why they didn't include Paris in the suit. I'm not sure.

I've noticed this too.

Justice for Michael is'nt all that important to some members of the media.

Dr. Murray has got to be one of the biggest liars ever! LIES, LIES everywhere! He was intentionally keeping information from relevant medical personnel, why? His behind knew that he f#@$%d up and all he was doing was trying to cover his behind!

How could MJ have been so unfortunate to ever meet this imbecile!

This isn't really anything new, even in Michael's case. Some people, even some fans, don't care what happens to Murray because Michael is dead. I know people who followed Michael in 2005 shows no interest at all what is happening now. To them, weather Murray goes to jail or not won't bring Michael back, so why care?

This isn't like 2005 when someone's life was in the balance, it is just Murray and most don't care what happens to him. If Michael was brutally killed like Lennon, more might care, but that isn't the case. Some, even though they love Michael, blame him just as much as Murray for what has happens. It is unfair, but there are people like that.

And to be fair to the media, if you look at how things played out, why would they care? Most in the family don't seems to care about Murray. The will, the estate, and songs seemed to be more of interest to them than Murray. If the family doesn't care, why should the media?

It is really no different than some fans blaming the addict angle on the media. They may had carried it, but who started it and even now still maintain it.

KFI Crime reporter: Paramedic says Jackson was already dead & turning blue when he arrived at mansion in June '09

Extremly frail?

the media only cared when it came to lynching mj. they had selective reporting about that case about 93 about this case. its all about portraying mj in the light they want the public to have of him ie a pedo a druggie a freak

I think there'll be a lot more cocerage once it actually goed to trial.

  1. Pros to Senneff: At that time or any time did Murray ever say he had given Propofol? Senneff: No sir half a minute ago via TweetDeck

  4. Senneff asked Murray about meds MJ was on: 'he didn’t answer…I repeated question again and he said there isn’t any. I did n't pursue it 5 minutes ago via TweetDeck
