Does anyone else have to login again and again after leaving this forum?
I check this forum once per day and although i save my login and password so it goes automatically i still have to enter my login and password.
I have this issue for a year now and it's becoming very annoying.
So for the people running this forum, please fix this.

It's not the forum, it's your browser. Try changing the settings. Though you don't actually need to log out at all unless you're using a public computer to access the site. You'll be removed from the active user list after a little while once you've closed the browser but you'll still be logged in next time you visit, assuming you don't have cookies set to be deleted when you close the browser.

I always had all kinds of issues with this website for some reason. Pages not loading until I refresh, often several times with little success, automatically logging off whilst in the middle of typing a post or typing a long post only to not be able to send it after I finished as I apparently am not logged in anymore.

I made several high quality threads, with lots of insight and positivity only to get logged out when I'm about to post them  so I just gave up and let it be.

I'm just kidding, it were mostly shitty threads. :trollfacememe:

I actually have had the log-out issue as well. As far as I recall, it sometimes happens when I visit very old posts. I noticed that the URL for these posts is always http, not https, so there seems to be some kind of security/authentication problem. I can’t reproduce it right now, but I’ll post here the next time it happens. :)

I’m using Firefox under Linux, and I haven’t encountered this problem on any other website that I’m regularly visiting. So, I’m not sure that this is a browser setting problem.

Forum works fine for me on Firefox and Chrome. These are all local issues or it would be affecting everyone. So either try a different browser or check your settings.

Well, for me it happens only occasionally, with specific http URLs, and only on this forum. I’ll post details when it happens again, so we can take a look at a specific example. Might be a while, as it doesn’t happen that often for me and would require me to browse some of those very old threads which I currently don’t have the time for. Please keep an open mind to the possibility that it could be a technical issue with the forum software. Things like these happen. :)

We have discussed it with Gaz and he hasn't found any technical issues; he also said he's never had anyone mention this problem before.

Speaking for myself, I never log out. I just close the tab and turn my computer off, as it's my own personal computer that no one else has access to. Then when I return to the site next, I'm already logged in. Saves a lot of time. I don't bother logging out of FB or Twitter either.

I never log out either. The issue is that apparently sometimes some people are being logged out automatically, which is odd. Why don’t we all just wait till we can look at a specific example? :)

It can only be something locally with your browsers because there is not a setting for logging some but not all out, its as simple as this, if the setting for logging in was set to logging people out it would do it for every single member, not just one here and one there, that in itself explains where the problem lies... ie your own browser settings.

Any recommendation on how to fix this? I've been having the same issue for months now but I thought I was the only one. I've already tried cleaning up the cookies but the problem persists.

What browser are you using?

Google Chrome. I participate on another forums as well and this is the only one where I'm having this issue for some weird reason.
