I may be on my own here, but for me Roy is up there.

I'm not an O-ficianado by any means, but vocally he's in my Top 3. And some of his stuff is amazing.

Elvis called him the best male voice ever. And he's a grown man who can make grown men cry.

Here he is in his latter years with the awesome kd lang duetting on his hit Crying. You will not find two better voices duetting on one song

And the beautiful In Dreams. Read those lyrics....

I grew up listening to Roy and still love his music a lot, his voice is something else. 'It's Over' is probably my favorite song of his, especially this version:

^ Great stuff. They just re-released 'A Black & White Night' to celebrate its 30 anniversary. CD/DVD digipak with rare & unreleased stuff.

I love his album with the super group The Traveling Wilburys (Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lyne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty) and his solo hits as well. If I remember correctly, Roy could only be part of the group first album because he passed after its release. Nobody sings about being lonely like Roy though.
