Should we limit number of pics for general members

I've Noticed some posts with 40 or more pics per post. It's way too much IMO and scrolling down is aggravating with so many. Can we can change members permissions to have a 10 picture limit per post. that way it won't be abused.

We can keep MJJC Staff and Legacy Team members unlimited for their projects.
 
I agree. The picture threads are often a nightmare to scroll through and when there are also 30+ gifs involved, it's a wonder my browser doesn't crash. :lol: Having had slow Internet connection myself, I can say it's impossible to view such threads even with a fast connection, let alone with a slow one.
 
Yes, 10 picture limit would be good. If they want to post more they can do so by posting direct links to the pics.
 
I know personally I wouldn't have patience enough to scroll through all of it and look all of them. Many won't even enjoy the pictures because of that.
 
The thread says "picture of the day" not 60 pictures of the moment, that's more like spamming. I agree.
 
I Pmd Gaz - to direct him to this thread and requested he change the default.

I left a admin note in that thread but other threads are being abused as well. Most of the excessive Pics come from Ashtanga so I sent a PM .. That should help until we get a default in place ~Qbee

Please note: This thread topic is "picture" of the day, Not "Album" of the day. Yes we all love and enjoy Michael pictures, but Please dont spam pictures in this forum. Posting excessive amount of pics (50) in one post is not necessary and it's causing havoc for members with slower connections. It also takes the fun out of it for others who want to contribute. So in order to get this forum back on track, please post (a ) picture of the day in this thread and in other picture threads post according to the topic. We ask no more than 10 pics per post total. (That will soon be set as default) any question PM Admin. Thanks for understanding and your cooperation.

No I'm just doing that for Ashtanga becuase she was personaly warned by Admin.
I prefer to get the settings changed .. so we don't have to upset members...

Yeah, I meant until the settings are changed, should posts with over 10 pics be deleted. or just warn the users?
 
Now that I'm looking I am not sure if we can give staff unlimited pics if we change the default to 10 Pic
I know Legacy staff needs more then 10 for many of their projects. my main concern was fans who
were posting up to 50 - 60 pics in one post. I don't want us to be to strict but just not have members
posting unreasonable amounts of pics on one posts.

Im going to post a message from member service asking them to keep the limit to 10 pictures
and see if that helps ... lets not be heavy handed if they post a couple more. but just PM those
that have a tendency to go overboard

I have made the change to only 10 pictures permitted per post,

The down side is the change is not associated with the user groups in other words its across the board for all,

Sorry for the delay in implementing this change.
 
Gaz if we cant make pictures unlimited for the legacy team it will interfere with their projects . I think the message I placed in MITM will be sufficient to keep the abuse down for now. Would it be to much to change it back please. Thanks ... Sorry for not being clear
