Question please: I noticed lately that my access to MJJC via mobile phone has become increasingly slow. It is becoming increasingly difficult to post or read post via my mobile whether I am logged in or not.

Any insight into this issue would be appreciated.

Hmm, are you using the mobile version of the forum? I can access it fine from my iPod. :scratch:
 
Apologies, I should have been more clear.

I am using the mobile version of the site on a 3G mobile phone (On The Go v.2). Yes, I am using my States' mobile. The load time for pages is increasingly slow and I noticed it happening when more services were included for this site. Is it that these services are attempting to load via the mobile version as well? (i.e. the community radio, etc.)

It is not my wireless provider as other websites load as usual. I have notice it is only MJJC that is loading quite slow on my mobile and it has been recently which is why I was questioning it. I have no issues accessing the site via PC.

Just a thought-because I am no tech expert by any means-just a user-if the PC works properly-but MJJC works on my phone faster than the PC. But I use the Mobile On the Go setting instead of the full site-so I don't get the extras like signatures, radios, thank you button, etc.
 
Seems to be working ok for me, one thing about MJJC on the go is it's very light and should load much faster, and no none of the service additions to MJJC affect the forum they are completely stand alone.

Unfortunately it takes longer to post and sometimes read posts here because I have even received timeout messages due to the slow page loading.

I usually refresh the pages and that helps to speed the process along.

Hi, Just a thought. If you also have home internet acess (WiFi ) connect your internet service provider wifi to you cell for an extra boost when your cell service starts dragging.
 
Hello and thanks for the tip above.

I noticed that if I delete cookies/data through my mobile settings, the MJJC pages load quickly. However; the more MJJC pages that I load/read/review, the slower the next MJJC page is to load for reading/review. I believe I narrowed the issue to cookies however; I have no idea how to correct that minus deleting the cookies manually when I remember.
 
Just a note to say my mobile access is not as slow as previously. I have not done anything differently so I am unsure what increased the speed but, I am glad it has increased.
 
My carrier is Verizon (home and mobile) and I'm experiencing the same slow page loading issues. I access the site via my home wifi. I didn't have this problem months ago with this site. I've tried switching browsers (I use Google, Firefox and when desperate, IE) and get the same results. It's only this site that loads too slow, too. I don't experience this on other sites. I don't use my phone to access the site; I use my laptop.
