T25 enters UK chart at NUMBER #3!! - Listen Live to BBC Radio 1's Chart Show now!

And this is only in Britain? I can't wait to see how it did everywhere else this past week.

Australia #2 (+42,w2)
*2nd week because it has already charted at #44 last week when it was only out for three days!

Netherlands #2 (NEW,w1)

UK #3 (NEW,w1)

Irland #5 (NEW,w1)

Poland #6 (NEW,w1)
*from last weekend, only out for three days at that time!

Note: Just everywhere Thriller 25's sales are counted upon the sales of its 1982 original due to the fact that this re-release does contain just nothing new (1 unreleased track - 2 in Japan - plus 5 remixes of OLD songs, plus 4 OLD videos)

most chart rules in different countries state that if a re-release has about 80% (depending from country to country) of its original content and ONLY UP TO 20% "new" content, than it will be treated as the original album and NOT(!!!) like a new one

(the videos are not counted new!!, track 10 is also not counted at all!! and the remixes are counted extremely small, because they use the original songs!!)

I hope that's for better understanding ;)

Exactly! It only adds to more copies of the original. :D

N3 in the UK what does it represent as regard the figures ?

It will be higher figures. Don't know what exactly at the mo' but it would be more that say T25 sales in Poland (although it went Gold there) coz there are more peeps in the UK and lots of peeps were buying (for valentine as result of publicity after the Grammy's etc) so it wasn't a 'slow' week by any means, also Jack Johnson sold quite a lot so for T25 to get to no. 3 its gonna be good figures.

i didn't buy it either, mj hasn't put much hard work into this release and as for personal promotion, its laughable.

hence why the girl is mine 2008 didn't do well....

So why are you running around asking people how the album charted? if you didn't buy it and didn't care what's it to you how well it's selling?

well i never said i didn't care...no need to get touchy, everyone knows t25 could have been better...oh well

Again you failed to answer my question because if you didn't care you wouldn't say things like..........everyone knows t25 could have been better...oh well...........so I say again since you didn't buy it what's it to you? I'm hardly touchy more perplexed as to why someone who didnt buy it cares what happens to it?

I didn't buy it either, but I care how it performs -- I'm glad it's successful, MJ certainly doesn't need a flop right now.

I really don't get that statement at all.....

Anyway, congrats to Michael on the success of Thriller 25. I sincerely hope this is the beginning of an all out return on the charts for The King Of Pop!!!!:punk:

Thank you, i'm glad im not the only one who finds that statement bizzare to say the least.

Well i think michael worked real hard on his album and he is doing great. Michael jackson knows exactly what he needs to do. He is a master at what he does . this Thriller 25 goes to show the world michael can chart high and even if the album is 25 years old with a little twist to it. wow i proud.

I just bought T-25 for a friend and he said he was very disappointed. He said it sounds like Fergie was sitting on a toilet trying to take a s#!T. ~LMDO~

LOL.

I have had people say that the new T25 tracks (Beat It in particular) sounds like it was put together in someone's bedroom.
The production quality is not very high on these tracks. I think the only exception really is WBSS 08, which was innovative and well put together. It's a shame that the success of T25 (so far) is not matched by top quality production. The album was rushed, the new tracks were recorded in November last year.

and to think they had ben discussing it since autum/fall 06

It seems like there are more MJ fans in France than in the UK :plol THRILLER 25 is NUMBER ONE in France with 75 000 copies sold against 41 184 copies in the UK. Come on dudes you gotta buy it twice lol
