The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Those "OG" files are also remixes by me. I'm just remixing them with stems rn, In The Closet is already finished and will be uploaded around next week, next up is She Drives Me Wild and Who Is It and a couple more after that
Then you should release that multitrack as is. Remixes should be done by everyone using those multitracks. You don't have to do it alone. smh

That’s like saying the finished album doesn’t matter — only the raw studio files do. These uncut mixes are how I want to present the tracks.

How about the original TV mix of She Drives Me Wild the vocals were grafted onto? Have you considered uploading that as well since the original leak has disappeared?

The TV track hasn't leaked previously and my mix was never intended to be leaked or released, I don't even fully know how that one ended up online

Strange, I distinctly remember it leaking around 2023 or so.

As for your mix it seems like you gave it to the owner of a Discord server who subsequently posted it, where one of its users ended up leaking the whole thing across the web. I should know, as I was there.

No I remember that it leaked on a discord server where the owner purchased the mixes from some guy who I don't even know

ah my memory absolutely ****** sucks. yeah now that you mention it the owner did say something along those lines.

This artist has probably never asked the Estate's permission and since they're not famous it will most likely fly under the Estate's radar.
wrong
Now, Haze breaks new ground by becoming the first Irish artist and one of the few independent artists worldwide, to secure a co-publishing split with the Michael Jackson Estate and Sony Music Publishing.

Hi to all!! I was away for few months. Got a baby daughter and also needed a break from the MJ world. And now, I open the forum and see all the leaks being discussed.

The last thing I got was Man In Black HQ. I left in the middle of real or fake discussion. That was really sad with all the AI scamming talks.

To keep it short, can someone please, please, please give me all the download links for all the original source files that leaked since Man In Black. Here or DM, please no YouTube links. I'd like to download all.

I really don't have time to go through all the pages of this thread.

Thanks in advance!!

Congrats on your baby daughter!

just re-listening to the Michael Prince MJCast episode, totally forgot about this but I find it interesting

It was very uncommon for him to record vocals. He was truly upset when the song he did with Akon was leaked. [...] We would sit there and just be talking, and he would just get this sad look on his face, like "how did this happen?", because 20 years ago this would not have happened. [...] I think that really changed his overall view of the big picture on when he should and shouldn't sing. I think that pushed him to not wanting to put his voice on a song until it was for a record, and they were getting ready to really go for it, because he realised even a demo with his voice on it, if it gotten in the wrong hands, could end up on the internet.
tldr; the Hold My Hand leak was the cause for most of the late 2000s songs to have been left as instrumentals

[...] He goes: "I'm not gonna release albums anymore, we're just gonna put out a single every couple of months." Because we all come from the land of albums, so at first when he said that, I thought "why would he say that?", and then literally within a few minutes I realized it would solve so many things. A) You're already touring, so you've got this buzz going on, because you're playing, and it wasn't just gonna be London, it was gonna be all over the world, and you release a single, so you're only trying to sell one song. It's a whole new world now, and he realized that, it was all digital, it can be a worldwide release at stroke of a pen. Then what he could do is, after you do about 8 or 10 singles over the course of a year, you do 2 new songs and repackage it as an album. I think that was genius.
another quote that stuck with me was when he said MJ had no 11th album in mind as of the This Is It rehearsals...this era would've been interesting. so he was thinking of all these 30+ songs from the notes as possible singles?😭

The issue is children thinking that by working with material not public they are “trusted” with it, in a sense feeling they have a connection with Michael and his work, when in reality the reason to why they have it is because someone close to Michael or the estate couldn’t be trusted.

Everything in the hands of collectors should be and will at some point be leaked. The second it leaves a studio it’s inevitable. No one is above the human nature of sharing things they like to people they can’t 100% trust.

This is why I ain't too worried. You're right: The second a track leaves a studio, it is almost guaranteed to leak. Some sooner and some later than others, but if someone outside of producers and engineers has it, it WILL leak.

I don’t care so much about half-finished demos and sketches leaking because God knows the estate won’t do anything worthwhile with them. The finished (or “releasable”) material is where I’m a little uncertain because I would love to experience another proper promo cycle again. I know the quality has been overall poor, but the excitement of album release day and getting to hear brand new MJ material is just indescribable.

But whatever. I just want something new.

Very good point. Ironic really.

You aren’t Michael ****** Jackson, that’s why.
That is not what I meant at all.

What I wanted to say with this is that everyone here always want something to leak and when something does end up leaking, you can't even appreciate it and ask for more. I just wanted to share my final mixes of those "leaks" so that people can enjoy those instead of messed up files, listening to the full unedited songs as they were recorded but still, everyone complains and says "share the multitracks!".

Just because some people have something others don't, doesn't mean it has to be shared publicly. And I don't mean to brag about having unreleased material at all, I'm not even publicly talking about any of it if I'm not asked about it. I'm simply just a guy enjoying Michael's music and always happy when I'm able to share things like uncut mixes mixed from stems. Though when I'm obviously asked not to share those, then I will of course not share that material. This is not about not wanting to share something or "gatekeeping" but respect.

and don't get me wrong about any of this. I enjoy leaks as much as you all do, when something leaks, I'm one of the first to listen to it. Of course when it is something like what happened in January 27, 2023 where Brad's laptop was stolen, that crosses every boundary and should NOT ever happen. Still as most of you did, I listened and enjoyed everything in those leaks. And if for example something ends up leaking that I do have for some reason, if it be a demo, video or idk what, to be very honest with you, I couldn't care less.

I'm not against you making remixes.
You are free to release them.
But we want to see Michael's material. Some people enjoy your remixes as finished tracks, others want to keep the originals for themselves.
You should understand that your values may be different from others.
Why don't you release multitracks at the same time as your remix?

Because If I would have raw multi-track recordings of those tracks that would have been sent by someone who asked me not to share these, I wouldn't of course share them publicly or send them around. The only reason I'm even going to upload said mixes is because I don't like my unfinished stuff out there and people claiming it is an official mix done back in 1991.

I do see his point. It pays to at least make the leaks feel semi polished rather than just throwing it out there however. It's still just leaks though, not an actual promo album cycle.
Here's the thing though, and I hope mjfp corrects me if I'm wrong... the SDMW mix he made is created using an already existing TV Track/Instrumental.
It's already polished, it wouldn't be just "thrown out there".
