The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Maybe a version with full vocals does exist. The leak's from 1994. Who knows, the song could have been revisited in late 1996.
Incredibly unlikely there is a more complete version. The one that leaked is the one that was submitted to the copyright office in 2010. If there was a more complete version they would’ve submitted that. Never say never though.

I didn't know that.
He should just release the og files without any extra processing.
I think that remastering or otherwise tweaking a song before releasing it is essentially no different than someone posting a short snippet of an unreleased song with their name watermarked and in the worst possible sound quality. (I know that's a bit of an extreme example)

You should just release the og files (y)
Those "OG" files are also remixes by me. I'm just remixing them with stems rn, In The Closet is already finished and will be uploaded around next week, next up is She Drives Me Wild and Who Is It and a couple more after that

Then you should release that multitrack as is. Remixes should be done by everyone using those multitracks. You don't have to do it alone. smh

That’s like saying the finished album doesn’t matter — only the raw studio files do. These uncut mixes are how I want to present the tracks.

How about the original TV mix of She Drives Me Wild the vocals were grafted onto? Have you considered uploading that as well since the original leak has disappeared?

The TV track hasn't leaked previously and my mix was never intended to be leaked or released, I don't even fully know how that one ended up online

Strange, I distinctly remember it leaking around 2023 or so.

As for your mix it seems like you gave it to the owner of a Discord server who subsequently posted it, where one of its users ended up leaking the whole thing across the web. I should know, as I was there.

No I remember that it leaked on a discord server where the owner purchased the mixes from some guy who I don't even know

ah my memory absolutely ****** sucks. yeah now that you mention it the owner did say something along those lines.

This artist has probably never asked the Estate's permission and since they're not famous it will most likely fly under the Estate's radar.
wrong
Now, Haze breaks new ground by becoming the first Irish artist and one of the few independent artists worldwide, to secure a co-publishing split with the Michael Jackson Estate and Sony Music Publishing.

Hi to all!! I was away for few months. Got a baby daughter and also needed a break from the MJ world. And now, I open the forum and see all the leaks being discussed.

The last thing I got was Man In Black HQ. I left in the middle of real or fake discussion. That was really sad with all the AI scamming talks.

To keep it short, can someone please, please, please give me all the download links for all the original source files that leaked since Man In Black. Here or DM, please no YouTube links. I'd like to download all.

I really don't have time to go through all the pages of this thread.

Thanks in advance!!

Congrats on your baby daughter!

just re-listening to the Michael Prince MJCast episode, totally forgot about this but I find it interesting

It was very uncommon for him to record vocals. He was truly upset when the song he did with Akon was leaked. [...] We would sit there and just be talking, and he would just get this sad look on his face, like "how did this happen?", because 20 years ago this would not have happened. [...] I think that really changed his overall view of the big picture on when he should and shouldn't sing. I think that pushed him to not wanting to put his voice on a song until it was for a record, and they were getting ready to really go for it, because he realised even a demo with his voice on it, if it gotten in the wrong hands, could end up on the internet.
tldr; the Hold My Hand leak was the cause for most of the late 2000s songs to have been left as instrumentals

[...] He goes: "I'm not gonna release albums anymore, we're just gonna put out a single every couple of months." Because we all come from the land of albums, so at first when he said that, I thought "why would he say that?", and then literally within a few minutes I realized it would solve so many things. A) You're already touring, so you've got this buzz going on, because you're playing, and it wasn't just gonna be London, it was gonna be all over the world, and you release a single, so you're only trying to sell one song. It's a whole new world now, and he realized that, it was all digital, it can be a worldwide release at stroke of a pen. Then what he could do is, after you do about 8 or 10 singles over the course of a year, you do 2 new songs and repackage it as an album. I think that was genius.
another quote that stuck with me was when he said MJ had no 11th album in mind as of the This Is It rehearsals...this era would've been interesting. so he was thinking of all these 30+ songs from the notes as possible singles?😭
