"Throwin' Your Life Away" was recorded between December 15, 1986-January 4, 1987 at Hayvenhurst.[1] It was co-produced by Bill Bottrell and intended for the Bad album, although it failed to make the final cut.Is TYLA from 1988?

@AlwaysThere I see you are still active. Do "we" have a list over all the leaked songs (full, incomplete, snippets) from the last few years?
dude 2024 was a terrible year for new MJ content I'll tell ya that.![]()
List of leaked songs
This is an ongoing list of all songs by American singer-songwriter Michael Jackson that leaked over the years. Please note that this includes not only unreleased songs, but demos for already released material. The first online leaks reportedly date back to the late 1990s-early 2000s, when songs...michael-jackson.fandom.com
This list is up to date! There are a few inaccuracies here and there (I don’t think it was ever confirmed that Dr. Freeze sang the “I Have This Dream,” not to mention that the listed leak date is incorrect), but otherwise it seems to be pretty accurate!
List seems pretty updated. It's not an ultimate list, but here are songs that are unreleased that can be considered "unique" enough for a release:![]()

I'd guess "DJ Thucky" & "Kells" didn't get far enough to sell them before they got caught. Or if they did, the buyer still has it (or maybe the buyer has passed away, who knows? lol). Such an amazing mix.Another Day unreleased version.. how is it possible we still do not have the original track in full. What a great snippet leak that was... Many years ago..
Is he even interested in the job ?When is Prince Jackson going to start calling the shots regarding the Estate? Isn't he like 25 now?

Yeah, it could (and should) have been released as it is. Same for Xscape & Much Too Soon.Such an amazing mix.

I disagree, knowing Michael, in my opinion, he would not have liked a lot of these remixes these guys have been doing. None of us will know anyway. And again, I'm not really arguing for the estates sake only. "big albums" are done. Gone. There's no point trying anymore. This is why I rather insist on project/boxsets. It's beating a dead horse, I know.Again, I don't really agree...
Even though I don't support the Estate's heavy commercialization strategies, there's no chance most of these tracks would ever be considered for big albums, and I mean projects like Xscape, where they tried to take the very best material and shape it into something that at least faintly resembled a typical MJ studio album, both thematically and in terms of experimentation. The producers modernized the tracks, tried new things, and I'm pretty sure MJ himself would've liked most of it (maybe except for DYWYCA and STTR, what were they even thinking there, lmao…)
You shot down maybe 4-5 tracks, which isn't much. And you forget that there are still songs we don't know of.Hot Street, Slapstick, Nite Line: those were never cleared because Quincy wanted nothing to do with them while he was alive. Now that he's passed, other tracks beyond those will likely remain locked away for who knows how long. It's a difficult situation, and even back when it was more feasible, they tried to find a solution and couldn't.
Light the Way is just an instrumental with a choir… Red Eye almost certainly has no vocals, Innocent Man is basically just a chorus, same with Rocker, Water, Monster, Adore You. As a fan, I absolutely LOVE being able to hear them, but for the Estate it would be a guaranteed disaster. I'd be fine if they wanted to do a boxset, but even then it would need to be made very clear that these are unfinished ideas, even less complete than the tracks on The Ultimate Collection, less complete than In the Back, etc.
Didn't the Estate themselves say, early on after MJ's death, that a lot of his unreleased songs just had a chorus or incomplete lyrics but that they could be commercialized but turning them into posthumous duets?Light the Way is just an instrumental with a choir… Red Eye almost certainly has no vocals, Innocent Man is basically just a chorus, same with Rocker, Water, Monster, Adore You. Majority of these songs have little to no vocals/lyrics. No one wants an album full of mumbles and placeholder lyricsList seems pretty updated. It's not an ultimate list, but here are songs that are unreleased that can be considered "unique" enough for a release:

It doesn't matter anymore. The train has long left the station. There can be only 1 album that the estate could do with the remaining material. Maybe a Duet Album as well, implementing the unfinished tracks.
This is what they should've did from the beginning; let his Hayvenhurst and Westlake teams compile their material to create the ultimate experience.....this could've spanned for years but noooooooooooooo. It doesn't matter anymore. The train has long left the station.
They could have released at least one killer album after Michael's passing, had they had done it the propper way by allowing the original A & B teams compile the tracks, and whenever neccesary slightly fix them.
That's what it's been. The lyrics are mumbles and placeholders with a full chorus but people swear it's complete.Just gave TYLA a listen on proper speakers and I don’t think this is a complete vocal as it turns out. It sounds like a good amount of the lines are gibberish, especially the second verse. The vocals aren’t very present so I could be wrong, but my immediate impression is that I’d put this in the same category as WALWTG. I can understand why this hasn’t yet been put on an album.
I knew it was gonna be mid the moment I heard the first snippet, and I wasn’t wrong.Even in higher quality, TYLA does nothing for me.
