The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

For those unimpressed with Throwing Your Life Away in its leaked state, a lyrically complete version exists. I don't know if the music differs much from the leak, but I know when Brad Sundberg played the song for us during a seminar in January 2018 I was blown away. I even went back to his seminar a month later in hopes to hear it again but he never got around to playing it. This was also the first time I heard Family Thing, Deep in the Night, Jane is a Groupie. I guess by the end of the day, he was feeling very generous.

I was always confused when I listened to the recording that circulated online months later, because I only recognized the chorus and melody. Maybe Bottrell can shed some light on it.

This uses the "Michael" version for the verses and the solo. You can tell by the drums, so this isnt even a faithful fandmade mix of the original demo.

Edit - correction

Didn’t know.. never really listened to this song a lot. It’s cool but not too interesting.

But with recent AI tools we could make a better recreation today regarding the drums.

Please try that! Another Day original version edit

Are we talking about „another day“ feat Lenny kravitz ? Pretty sure that leaked in full??? Need to check my files.

EDIT:
this file i got in 2011. Is it a fan edit? never knew...

I can't listen right now, but the Another Day 2001 version that leaked back then was only a minute and a half or even less.

It's not just the drums that's different though, unfortunately. The entire guitar track is different

Although I'm sure Kai could recreate it if he was interested in doing so, he certainly has the skills for it.

Another Day was always vastly overrated to me. Just never clicked with me.

Everyone's talking about the lyrics of TYLA... I find it pretty coherent, idk.

It's a very soothing song for me to be honest. My mental health is not the greatest right now, but the song kinda gives me vibes of mental health. Of someone pursuing a shallow lifestyle not because it's good but because it's easy, ignoring the consequences. "Throwing Your Life Away".

I love the song. I love the western aesthetic, I love the bass line, I love the Sega Genesis texture of the instrumentation.

Did someone asked Damien Shields already about „Rey Eye“? Like was it really considered for „Michael“? When was it recorded?
This leak is being pretty slept on (understandably so I guess, it is just a 5-second snippet of an instrumental) but it still makes me very curious, would love to get more backstory on it. Any kind of insight into the post-Invincible sessions is fascinating. My main theory is that they remixed the song to be used as a possible interlude for the "Michael" album.

The instrumental on Korgs recent Innocent Man upload is something from the Invincible sessions, I can share the original later if there‘s interest
That would be interesting! I would never say no to hearing a new Michael Jackson song lol

And also does that song have a title? Only bit of info we ever got on it is that it was one of the first songs made for "Invincible". Maybe it's "Bio"?
