This is just baffling to me. Nobody knew MJ worked with this guy, and suddenly he’s co-writer of one of the community’s most sought-after unreleased songs? Insane.

Relistening to the recording of the song that leaked the "hoo!" adlib during the instrumental break is that edited in does anyone know? I think it stands out so strangely in the mix and sounds too high quality sounds like it was taken from STTR. Also i dont think anyone posted it yet but this site has confirmed the year of the track as 1989 at least the initial version.

Yes could be.. It's weird though, the demo sounds like he either sort of knows the lyrics already or is making them up himself..right?

If I had to guess I'd say the adlib was edited in. The circulated Kingvention recording is severely altered (intro cut and "changed" ending).

I remember some fan posting a while back that that was actually their phone alert going off (which they'd set to 'hoo') or something like that.

Not sure if the song exists but Michael expressed how excited he was to film "The Nightmares of Edgar Allan Poe". The movie was to revolve around the characters from Poe's works that would come back to haunt him in his last days. The project was scheduled to film in Spring of 2000 but abandoned due to Sony pressuring Michael to finish Invincible.

It was abandoned because MJ couldn’t secure financing for it.

Probably leaning more towards Abortion Papers, I really like the song and I love the way Mike bites into the hook "signing your name against the word of God" if Mike had released the song I think he'd have called it "Signing Your Name" or something similar.

I really like Turning Me Off though, I love the unusual way he sings "Turning me OFF" it sounds so strange in a good way. It reminds of the Smooth Criminal demo were he's singing "Annie are you okay" a bit weirdly because he's experimenting with it

I agree with your mate! I especially think it was very bold of Michael to tackle that subject matter in Abortion Paper.

Turning me on the other hand, thrives on its “weirdness”, in a lack of better words. The chorus is definitely a highlight. The bridge also sticks out to me because it’s very reminiscent of Queen and Freddie hehe.

It was edited in, to track whoever sent his version.

TBH Fly Girl is also basically the instrumental played in the interview looped. So I don't expect"Still The King" to be any different.
Also I'm pretty sure that's not the correct title.
