The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Fall in love with a girl who’s avoidant. Become trauma bonded and tell her you love her. Then chase her for several months. Also go to the gym.
Well chile hol up cuz--

But I do seriously need to go to a gym as my fatass self should.

I remember Invincible Promo very young at my Grandma's house, but didn't grasp who MJ was until the 05 Trial and I've probably been a fan since then. There are definitely people here who have been a fan decades and decades longer before me.

This is probably the promo I saw:

That's so cool ngl, what was your reaction to This Is It, the day he died, any major MJ event in the 2000s. And how did the trial days make you a fan? Propaganda against him was an all-time high.

So, "is it snitches get stitches" for the fans who contacted the MJ Estate about the leaks? Lol. But seriously, I do notice more fans who are here for the leaks than those who oppose. I've always been a "Imma download this but I won't share it, type of person" when it comes to leaks. I think most of us miss Michael's talent and enjoy this material. Doesn't have to be polished for me; its neat to listen to.

I used to feel as if the Michael album was some sort of extension of the This Is It movie for some reason. I guess because a lot of the songs on it were being worked on during his final years, its weird. It was more so of a vibe.

Well the day he died, the world sort of stopped. It was pretty shocking, the world and the internet stopped. I watched the memorial, but I waited a few months to watch This is It so I never saw it in Theaters. Thriller 25 was a fun time, that's how I was introduced to the Thriller video and Motown 25. My favorite video was Black or White, but the quality on youtube at the time was so bad. My first favorite songs were, The Way You Make Me Feel and Black or White. I remember looking at the magazines and saw the style and thought it was cool. I knew the trial was going on and saw many of the parodies around the time. But it made me curious to learn who this man was, and why he was famous. I definitely read the wikipedia page many times.

I couldnt wrap my head around why he wore a single white glove...

What was your immediate reaction when you heard the death news? Hope thats not a weird question to ask here.

Obviously not to believe it, because of the tabloids. My mom watched a lot of entertainment tonight, access hollywood, TMZ. There was always something that, "Wacko *****" was doing. He wore surgical masks out, was photographed in wheelchairs. So of course this was just media sensationalism. I had known he hadn't performed in awhile and I just believed maybe it was dehydration or maybe he was just sick.

It was probably around 2-4 PM where it went from, rushed to hospital, to possible cardiac arrest, to the videos of the ambulance leaving and then Jermaine's confirmation made it real.

Ah crap I can't imagine how destroyed you must've felt in that moment.

Damn. I remember feeling so devastated for no apparent reason. I've never followed him or any other artist. I knew some songs, especially Billie Jean (from GTA Vice City or We Are The World). So I can't imagine how you actually felt, following him for some time at least...

It's listed nowhere in the 1986 session calender from Bill Bottrell so I believe it's from anywhere between January and September 1985 (particularly July where they took up temporary residence at Westlake - hence the real strings).

alternatively the 1986 date was a misremembering and this version is actually from 1989, since rumors say it was revisited around that time.
Quite possible. Maybe Matt Forger worked on it rather than Bill, even when Bill wasn’t there on session. But who knows…

I feel like the Michael album should have leaned more into the "What was left behind"
i always thought this too. never got the random inclusion of Behind the Mask and Much Too Soon (although i do like these songs). Another Day at least somewhat made sense since that was still sort of a recent song

MJ spoken intro and the rest of the song is sung by a female vocalist + choir. Motif already leaked the lyrics of MJ's intro:

I'm pretty sure "Thank Heaven" is one of the songs that are bound to get leaked soon. Personally I couldn't care less about listening to this one lol.
not really a spoken intro, it's a phone call

One question I have is why Michael continued working on songs that had already been released, such as "Beautiful Girl" and "The Way You Love Me," while completely abandoning songs he loved, like "Hold My Hand" and "Xscape," after the leak?
i don't think he completely abandoned Hold My Hand? i mean, iirc people around him said he did, so maybe he did initially after the leak, but it was very much on his song list from circa 2009

I'll go ahead and eat some crow. "Homeless Bound" was just posted, it's not an AI song.

I hope there are more songs with vocals. I can't wait to hear Rocker leak in full.
