Lmao true. Imagine someone spending hundreds of dollars just to get an R. Kelly demo.Don‘t forget R. Kelly. He delivered quite a few demos while HIStory was in production.

ohhh ok thank youHe is present on the original recording. It's from 2005 and was worked on in early 2006 as well.
I was assuming that the estate would take their 'straight to remix' approach for the track and therefore would only need the vocals. And then release the existing tape as the 'original version' without mixing it.You're just forgetting something: what they did for Now and Then was strip the vocals from the instrumental. For a proper remix, they'd need to do stem separation and that's not possible. Peter Jackson's MAL was used on the remix of Revolver, but they had the original 4-track masters.
One thing is separating each element on a track consisting of guitar, bass and drums. Splitting the stems of a 24+ track mixdown is a whole different game.
Oh, that? Yeah, valid point, but I don't think they'd be willing to remix any and every track for release. Let's face facts, enough is enough with that.I was assuming that the estate would take their 'straight to remix' approach for the track and therefore would only need the vocals. But yes, of course for a remix of the original they'd need the master tapes
It would be nice to contemporize the original demoes, instead of constructing new songs around his vocals. Just strip the vocals and recreate the songs in the modern day.Oh, that? Especially coming from a cassette.Have you heard Now and Then? It sounds pristine.
Yeah so they could mess up the mixThey would want to remix the track entirely (all elements).
Not if it's John Mcclain.Yeah so they could mess up the mix
True. Didn’t he help with the Behind The Mask remix? Not if it's John Mcclain.
And Much Too Soon, he was the main producer.True. Didn’t he help with the Behind The Mask remix?
I think I have it lying around, but is it okay to share seminar recordings here?Speaking of TYLA, does anyone have the original seminar recording on file?
This is probably a good middle ground in my opinion. The original TYLA certainly sounds dated and wouldn't have any chart success in the current state, if that's what they wanted. It would be nice to contemporize the original demoes, instead of constructing new songs around his vocals. Just strip the vocals and recreate the songs in the modern day.
Why would Korgnex have it? That’s what I hate about him, why would you spend so much money to buy a song just for yourself to enjoy? He just seems greedy imoits unknown where the original 1988 master tape lies. brad has a copy, korgnex has something related to it, but thats about it.
I mean, I kinda get it. I strongly disagree though. Something about Price of Fame cuts right to the heart really.I wish they had done the same for Price of Fame from Bad25. With a live orchestra and rerecorded instruments it would've been great, but to me the released version sounds very dated even compared to the original Bad album tracks.
Price of Fame sounds better pitched up by 0.30I mean, I kinda get it. I strongly disagree though. Something about Price of Fame cuts right to the heart really.
I love p.o.f I love the Chinese theme as well to it. It should've replaced jfgPrice of Fame sounds better pitched up by 0.30
I just don't like the sound of it. But you've kinda worn me down. I guess they can get away with it.I have always said I think The Estate should re-relase We've Had Enough and Price of Fame on the next all new album.
So if The Estate wants to release an album with 8 songs - they should make it 10 by adding those two songs. It would be a win-win. Because we would get the 8 new songs they wants releaased - and we (and mostly casual fans) will get to hear two amazing songs they have propably never heard before.

Yeah - if they release an album to the movie. - They should maybe give Price of fame some finishing touches and polish it a little and the release it on the soundtrack album.
We've Had Enough does not need to be touched at all. - It's perfect and ready for release. But I would prefer it on an all new MJ album so most people hear it. - Such an important song. Especially now with all the war going on in Ukraine and Hamas attacking Israel.![]()
So were other songs, e.g. Much Too Soon or Escape. We've Had Enough does not need to be touched at all. - It's perfect and ready for release.

I'd say a scene showing MJs pain While Price of Fame plays would easily be a highlight of the film. That's different than rereleasing it though. The estate re-releasing more songs is the last thing I'd want. If all they release is one single along with the movie then I hope it's a title we never heard of before, or at least a song we never got much info on.
