The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

I genuinely don’t know the rules about sharing stuff like this anymore, so if this goes against anything I apologize! Also for the record, I didn’t leak these—they’re public on another site.

“Crack Kills” sounds legit and even partially matches the handwritten lyrics we’ve had for years (“It’s such a loser!”). “Tonight” could be really good AI, it’s hard to tell.

They both super short but the Crack Kills snippet definitely sounds legit. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing mate. I think you're right, although the snippets are short, they sound legit to me too. Great find man

Thanks for sharing those! Fingers crossed that more of those will surface...

Not enough Michael vocals on this tape to justify that price. We shall see.
There were no takers for this auction or for the album Thriller and mittens from Bad. Extended by 14 days..
Damn those gloves, I would wear them myself 😄 I loved Michael's stylish ones 😍

We've never heard of any song title called "Tonight", so I'm really not sure what to think of that snippet.

Crack Kills might be legit. Sounds like it could have great potential. But both snippets are too short. Where are these coming from?

I’m not gonna lie, that Crack Kills snippet sounds quite legit, the vocals don’t sound AI in the slightest and it sounds so, SO good

The links aren't loading for me either. Whoever uploads those snippets on Youtube or Vocaroo it'll be much appreciated.

With a tape this expensive of course no one would take it. Maybe next time they should halve the price so it'd be more affordable.

Thanks for sharing, @AlwaysThere

I'd say knowing the source of these snippets would change everything, do you consider the source you got them from reliable?
I found them over on another forum, leaked.cx! It’s where a TON of music leaks take place. MJ posts are excruciatingly rare, and the user who posted these has no other chat history, so it’s admittedly a toss up. But in my experience, 95% of what’s posted there is authentic with the occasional fake-outs.

Thanks man!

Crack Kills doesn't sound bad, sounds like a 80's bop that could be played in a movie from that time. It reminds me of The Power Of Love a little bit.

I'm not sold that they aren't A.I either. Maybe Bill Bottrell or Joe Vogel could verify?
In my view, both "Crack Kills" and "Tonight" sound fake. To me, they don’t resemble Michael Jackson’s style at all. Of course, this is just my personal opinion, but I find it hard to believe these snippets are genuinely his work.

The tonight snippet sounds like midi instruments recorded on a modern DAW, doesn't sound analog to me, really doubtful about this one

Yeah, I'm not sure about that one. But the last part of that snippet gives me Captain Eo vibes. The production going from slow to fast just doesn't feel like something MJ would record. And we have nothing on the title "Tonight" so I'm kinda leaning towards AI.

Give me another 10 seconds of the song and I could come to a better conclusion.

Not surpising at all. That's a ridiculous price to start with for a fangirl's glorified mixtape.

This is great but given the info, I wouldn't pay much for this. I wish MJ did lead vocals on To Satisfy You, but this does not have it.

I wonder what it's like to have unreleased stuff of Michael..
Of course I am curious to hear everything MJ did too, and I can imagine it's special to obtain something most people never heard. BUT it also seems like something that can make you feel a bit 'lonely', right? To not enjoy the musics together, share stuff, get kudos, discussion etc..?

Opinions?

The feeling (that I would have if I were never going to release the material) would probably be cool, because I have things that only a few people in the entire world can hear. But, tbh, I'd probably only listen to the material once a month. It's like collecting limited edition action figures and being so happy when you first get them, but after a month, they just sit on a shelf for the majority of the time that I own them. So if I had unreleased tapes. They're sitting in a box in my closet, all the way in the back until I feel like listening to them. But that's just if I had them. I don't know what other people would do.
