Again, those sorts of unfinished demos, half-sung studio outtakes, instrumental-only song ideas, etc., are released officially all the time by other Estates or musical acts. The Beach Boys, for instance, come out with entire box sets of such material (coupled with remastered, classic cuts) almost every year or every other year now. Same for Elvis. The Beatles have just released two entire CDs of studio left-overs.

To be honest, though, there is a difference in the sense that those legacy acts cater to boomers, who are the last demographic to still buy physical product. So it could be that, with MJ, such boxsets would be a financial loss for the Estate.

When I replied earlier, I misread your comment/reply! I meant, some of the stuff that was leaked that ended up being on Xscape was trash quality (when it leaked years prior), lol. Great songs but audio wise was trash. So, I'm happy we ended up getting those songs in great quality. True. "Blue Gangsta" was a good one when it leaked. I didn't think of it that way; the different mixes that ended up being on Xscape. I don't think I ever had a good copy of "Slave To The Rhythm" during that time. I see your point, Lol.

The original BG was a Michael Album candidate that was mixed and had additions for the 2010 album that Michael never heard. Dated, but still modernized. The mix on Xscape was the first BG mix in MJ's life.

Same can be said for Tricky Stewart's STTR mixes in 2010, and Timbaland's Xscape mix. The STTR demo on Xscape is probably very much how MJ left it once he shelved it.

Oh, I meant like some of the original demo's. Like the BG Demo that was leaked before Xscape is different than the original version on Xscape. Now that being said, lol. I was a busy mod on some MJ forums back then with a full time job and hobbies, so I can't tell you which demo version is which and when evolution happened. I was just downloading stuff before it vanished and people had all sorts of file names. So, I'm grateful for today where it list what version and mix, lol. (not everyone does that but shout out to those that do). As far as the new mixes on Xscape by newer producers, they was a'ight. The orginals are my favorite. I commend y'all that know the evolutions.

Damien Shields confirmed with someone who worked on the song that Michael never recorded vocals for it. "I Have This Dream" uses the name "From The Bottom Of My Heart" as an alternative title and that's a song Michael did record, you might be thinking of that.

According to Bill, Brad Sundberg stole his tapes from Hayvenhurst and brought them to Westlake after Bill was fired. Some fans think Brad was wrong but other fans think Brad was instructed by Michael to retrieve the material.

This song was pitched to MJ for Invincible who turned it down believing it would sound best with a female vocalist. Written/Prod by Darkchild team. This is one of the earliest Darkchild tracks! Honestly a banger. Og Lashawn demo hasn't surfaced, probably never will but still super cool.
