In the next 2-3 months, Thriller should surpass 21 to enter the Top 10 longest-charting albums of all time on the Billboard 200. For studio albums, it would become #4 as the majority of the longest-charting albums are compilations which are able to benefit from combined hits being attributed to one release.

Keep in mind Thriller wasn't allowed to chart for much of its lifetime because of the compilations rule. Phenomenal achievement.

Additionally, with Essential surpassing 400 weeks on the BB200, Michael Jackson becomes the first solo artist with 2 albums above 400 weeks, and second in history after The Beatles.

You have to click the picture it should pop up on your screen.

There is actually a trick on a computer if while it’s loading on the screen you push the x button on the top left corner where the refresh button is it won’t load the paywall LOL.

I’m not paying 200 or so dollars for that either.
 
I didn’t realize thriller was number 1 for 37 weeks that’s over 7months just wow

On 6/31st of this year Michael surpassed 10 billions total streams mark. Now at 9/1/22 he has 10,190,999,700 and is going to pass 10.2 billion streams mark soon. Gaining almost 200m streams in a month and some change. His growth has been amazing to witness.
 
I really wish the estate would do a remaster and release box set or something. I think a remaster would do incredible. I was shocked that the estate didn't remaster OTW when they did that rerelase with the doc awhile back. Off the wall, Dangerous, HIStory, and invincible deserve to be remastered and restocked. They don't deserve nothing. If the doc for OTW and Bad 25 was release now it would do even better today imo. He has gained alot of new fans that are on social media to promote these projects for free

Post 2000 remasters mean only to make it louder and have distortion. Nothing beats the original prints. If they wanted something, they should release the original masters. Like they'll do with Thriller now on the MoFi print.

Tbh another mofi print would be even better.
 
Chicago just passed 37m streams. It seems likely it will pass 42m streams in a few days/weeks and become the second most streamed song on the album. If the song stays on his top 5 it could gain up to 50-100m streams. Its amazing for an obscure album track.

Madonna released an album called rebel heart at around the same time xscape was release. Her highest streamed song was a feature with nicki minaj that had 83m streams. Michael having both the solo vocal and the feature over 100m streams is amazing. Also LNFSG charted in the top 10 on billboard hot 100. Which is extremely hard for a posthumonus release to get.

Lets get Thriller to top 10 on billboard hot 100 this year. Last year it got as high as number 19, which was its highest position since 1984. With the buzz following the release of Thriller 40, it is certainly possible to get Thriller in the top 10 this year.

If Thriller reaches top 10 on billboard hot 100, Michael will become the first artist to have a top 10 hit in the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and 20s. Lets make it happen!
