The Official 'Michael' Bio-Pic Thread

Liked the new tv spot , was that Bad era MJ in the studio? Sounded good!! and then Thriller era MJ in the studio at the end? Now that’s rock n roll.

Dare I say the voice was a little over the place , it seemed a bit different each time. The most authentic part was from beat it . From the top
I think it's the thrad era but the hair doesn't match. The hair is wrong in so many places imo & the voice is like you said all over the place. I feel like they're mixing voices or the production still isn't done because even in the opening real trailer... the 1st few quotes sound like 2 different ppl....idk but i really hope they fix alot of these things!

Can I also add. I weirdly seen Fabio Jackson and Randy Jackson Jr in Jaafar’a face during the bad era recording session 😂
Don't overanalize! No, staaaawp! 🤣

You could literally skip an era just by showing a 30 second montage , it wouldn’t be difficult
1975 would be interesting to see, The Jacksons leaving Motown. But it seems that the movie mostly skips that part completely, would've also been way too much to add and doesn't make sense to include as it doesn't contribute to the story in any way

I'm counting down the days until the Michael film premieres in San Francisco. April 24th. I signed up for alerts on pre-sale tickets. I'm hoping to meet other fans dressed in honor of the gloved one. In the meantime, I lucked out and purchased tickets to see MJ the Musical which I missed the last time they were in town. It would be spectacular if Foreverland performed at an after-party!

Oh I can't wait until 4/24/26....San Francisco

Not sure if I'll choose the IMAX or a small theater

Let there be plenty of MJ fans dressed to the nines

Hopefully Burning Man's Michael Camp founders will be there

It's gonna be lit!

In the meantime, I'll be at opening night of MJ the Musical next month in San Francisco. I missed the 2024 tour.

HeeHee --Ow!

Sounds pretty embarrassing. Surely the estate aren't that desperate? What next, a Kpop Demon Hunters remix?!

And I thought I was the negative one on here 🙄

I’m just trying to think of the best way possible for MJ to score another hit single.

But unfortunately all we have left now is a hopefully authentic, positive biopic which will set some facts straight
This is their chance. But it seems they simply flat out refuse to.

- Michael's time in NYC in 1977-1978 while filming the Wiz.
Yeah, often they focus on relationships. Quincy and/or DR would be a good one. Like, I'd probably go to see a Quincy biopic if he had one.

Smh seems like we'll never get the jacksons era
Maybe they wanted to avoid stuff that already had a series.

I guess the group changing record companies was a very big deal to the brothers, but pretty insignificant to everybody else.

Just my own theory here, I think Bad live at Wembley will start the biopic and when he smiles that will take us into a flashback to his childhood performing with his brothers and start the movie properly.

I think the film will end with Mike leaving his brothers during Victory tour and not get as far as the Bad era. As we've barely seen anything from the Bad era, aside from Bad live at Wembley

If that were true, it would leave to much to be covered in the second part.

I wonder if we will finally get the victory tour released after this…we all know they clearly have professional shot high def footage as shown in the Thriller 40 doc. Sugafoot (Michaels drummer on the victory and other tours) says it exists also.

I’m hoping it will happen…it just might though, the trailer is showing a lot of the Victory era hmmmmmmmmmmmm

I can’t wait for April 24th. I took April 24th as holiday from work. I’ll be watching it in IMAX

I'm going to book April 24th too. I need to find where my closest IMAX is. I've never seen a film in IMAX and it feels like this is a good one to start with!

That's true to be fair mate but it does seem odd we've seen a teaser, a trailer and now a TV spot and they only Bad era stuff we've seen in any detail is Bad live at Wembley 88.

If the short films for, The Way You Make Me Feel or Smooth Criminal were in the film I'm sure they'd have shown us by now.

I might completely wrong though, I'm excited to see what happens

The white shirt performance is there.

Hmm, I wonder if the SC choreography might have been to difficult for Jafaar to remake... or the whole setting.

Eh?! IMAX is simply a very big screen - perfectly suited to fast-paced action movies or epic landscapes.

Think Batman jumping out of a skyscraper window, or a frantic car chase, or people climbing mount Everest.

Watching 2 guys having a conversation in a tiny recording studio would just be silly. When the faces are that big it just seems unnatural, and following a conversation can make some people dizzy.

???😭
You can watch it on my 3ds if you prefer then. I will be there watching it in imax, with loud speakers blasting his music.

I will die and go to heaven if they add "the way you make me feel

There even was Dangerous Tour footage taking place in 1992 in the First Look. Sure, it could‘ve been cut in the movie. My wishful ending is ending it with Man In The Mirror on the Bad Tour and transitioning to 35mm footage with the mirror shot

Like, I've been watching IMAX movies since the 1990s, I must have seen well over 100 of them. And some movies just work a lot better than others, with some simply being a waste of time. Sometimes it's because the quality of the source material is lacking, and sometimes it's just because the setting of the movie doesn't fit. And more than one of my friends have decided they don't want to watch in IMAX again, based on their bad experience trying to look backwards and forwards between two people talking.

If this movie is using a lot of AI, that's gonna look quite bad if you blow it up. And clearly a lot of this movie is set in mundane places like an office or a small family home.

I can understand wanting to have a good time watching this on a decent screen, but this type of movie simply does not warrant a screen that's 18 metres high. It's a scam. But if you want to spend twice as much on a ticket then that's up to you.
