The Official 'Michael' Bio-Pic Thread

Is good but not great a negative review? Maybe my expectations are lower but I have not been expecting a masterpiece since the first teaser came out. I'm looking forward to hearing MJ's music on big speakers and hopefully the film can get him as a person across in some ways that matter. It's great to hear talk of Jaafar being good in the role.

Well michael's life is finally being told abd ypu never know we might get a part 2
No. We can post negative reviews if it is constructive. This guy is just saying something based on hersay.
I don't understand either of these comments. We can't have "I hear Jafaar KILLS it" posts but not allow "I hear it's only OK" posts.

Who genuinely wants an echo chamber? It wasn't even a bad review/comment!

We don't want an echo chamber either. In my opinion, I will wait to see the reviews of professional critics. It may not be a bad comment but it's the way he's saying it that doesn't pass for some people. Did he see it or not? We cannot be sure about it.

Shocker

Bohemian Rhapsody instantly came to my mind also!

I did say to all take it with a pinch of salt. I thought it was interesting and no surprise to hear that Jaafar and Colman smash it.

The guy posting has never seen it… so everything is up for debate until it comes out

I don't think anybody here wants to see every single random "X" opinion posted here.

Of course we don’t, but considering very little has come so far, I thought it was appropriate enough to post it.

It could be absolute shite (the opinion) but it was interesting enough to see what was said.

As @innuendo141 said, if it was a glowing report everyone would have no issue with the post. Let’s be realistic, I don’t think anyone is expecting a cinematic masterpiece like The Godfather.

I’m happy with excellent performances and being a crowd pleaser. To me, it signals it is something for everyone to enjoy.

I think we pretty much established this is gonna be American Dream with a bigger budget. So no need to stress about that.
Its a very different film from American Dream. Its a new telling of his life that has never been shown.. Things that have never been addressed on film.

I guess if you're going in expecting American Dream, you may be pleasantly surprised to have something different than you expect.

Does anyone else remember one of the creators mentioning that Blue Gangsta would be in the movie? I’m wondering if that’s still the case now that the film has been split into two parts. And more importantly, will they include the song on the official soundtrack album if it’s only featured as a brief snippet?

I have a feeling that we could sail away our dreams to our Never Neverland or maybe we’ll see some winners and losers standing on the corner in the neon light sooner than later

I have zero trust in the reviews of professional critics, not with the ridiculous way they reviewed Michael's albums. I'm only interested in hearing the reviews from other fans, that's how I'll know if the movie is good or not.

Jaafar saying louder felt too real to the point I think it is edited! Wow
I bet that's when the speakers burst in flames. :ROFLMAO: Followed by "Now that's rock 'n' roll!"

Final trailer coming up?

I hope they explore Bad era more if this movies doesn't really cover it. Give us a montage at least.
Hmm, that's an interesting idea... Could it be that instead of recreating songs from the Bad era, they have included Bad era footage at the end in a real life montage instead?
