The Official 'Michael' Bio-Pic Thread

Dan Reed took his son to the cinemas to watch Michael the movie after shitting hard on it in the media for a week straight🤔

At least he contributed to the films success by buying tickets the piece of shit :D

Based on the comments I“ve read on every platform him crying out on his PR-tour probably backfired and made the movie even more popular!

Wait what???????? Is dan that stupid??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

So i guess wade not gonna be happy bout that

Lmao, what's he gonna do once his son becomes a huge MJ fan ?

Small spoilers if you haven't seen it. I wish the movie had Rock with You. It could have been great for that montage with Ben.

Wrong, IMHO.

He would want people go back again and again because they got joy in doing so.

Also, I don’t think it’s as black and white as you infer. Looking at the ages of people going - where there is a huge mix - lots of them are too young to have known MJ first, 2nd, or even third time around. These are ā€˜new’ fans.

As I said previously people repeatedly going back to see the movie, and repeatedly listening to his music is a positive thing.

Why you chose to see it as a negative is beyond me. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
Again. You claiming something as fact. At the end of the day, he would want as many people as possible to enjoy what he does (whether they enjoy it once or twice is irrelevant) or the fictional version of what he once did I should say ;). He always wanted to reach everybody, everywhere. Dollars did not matter.

And again, I never said it's a negative thing. Why you take everything as an attack is beyond me.

Off the wall album, they .only got DSTYGE ..I can't help it only playing in the background music and WDAN in full..I wished they had more..yeah kinda disappointed Rock With You weren't featured...if you asked anyone, that's the song they associated Michael Jackson with first thing comes to mind ..before Thriller album

He is reaching millions of people ā€œeverywhereā€.

You just chose to make up a story that it was only a few watching it over and over. Seemingly because your on a site of hardcore fans, where a few of them mentioned going multiple times.

That’s a sandy beach to build your foundations on. šŸ˜‰

And again. Misrepresenting what I said. This is getting silly now, well was since you decided to respond all hurt and in attack mode. Yeah. Instagram and all media is a site of harcore fans. At least I have a foundation. I've been out and about and see what's going on, inlcuding the movie, in the cinema. You just blindly defend and lash out at everything that doesn't go your way.

Anybody saw it in 4dx or screenx?
Is it a mustsee/feel or did I already have the ultimate version with imax?

Haha, my thoughts EXACTLY 🤣

They would have to go to the movies at least 8 times then lmao!
That would be too much stress for all the (predominantly) old white Beatles fans. šŸ‘“šŸ‘“šŸ‘“šŸ‘“šŸ‘“ whoopsies 🤭
I don't think that's true. The Beatles have remained popular all this time because younger audiences listen to them. There's been fairly successful movies that feature Beatles songs, but don't have anything to do with the group members at all like Yesterday & Across The Universe. There was the popular Get Back documentary on Disney+. Their 1 compilation is one of the biggest selling albums released in the 2000s. The new song Now & Then reached the Top 10 in the US. All of that couldn't have happened with only elderly boomers, who the media and companies doesn't even really focus advertising on. I doubt many old people are buying Beatles Lego sets, action figures, & Funko Pops.

Also, Beatles songs have been covered by artists of many races and all kinds of music genres. So even people who might not listen to The Beatles themselves have likely heard their songs. Yesterday is one of the most remade songs in recorded music history

The Essential is in the running for UK #1 album this week.

I don't really mind it losing out to Kneecap, though if it does. Even reading this headline alone is brilliant.

Isnt it just displayed more on the sides instead all at the front and maybe a bit of additinal lighting on the sides?
Sort of like a 4:3 film where they have colored borders depending on the scene to make it 16:9 and fill out the format?

I’m not hurt at all.

As I say, I’m sunshine and rainbows. You seem to be the one questioning the current success of MJ withā€¦ā€yes, butā€¦ā€

Like another one or two suspects on here, it comes across as a bit odd - especially considering you’re MJ fans šŸ¤”

Anyway, let’s put each other on ignore. You obviously don’t like my ā€˜sunshine’, and I sure as hell don’t like your ā€˜shade’. šŸ˜‰ šŸ‘

The only one who's odd here is you and your replies. There is no shade. And yeah, please ignore, if you can't have a proper conversation.

From what I see, over many years now, they never really trouble the charts. Especially the ones using modern metrics.

I do remember though, Christmas1995. The Beatles released a very highly promoted single here in the UK - Free As A Bird.
The main radio stations - Radio 2 and Radio 1 - kept promoting it, even telling the public to go out and buy it - to stop Michael’s ā€˜Earth Song’ getting to #1 (unbelievable I know! 😮, but they did!!)

The Beatles representatives, Apple Records sent a CD copy of the song to Michael’s record company. With a note saying ā€œWatch This!ā€ As they thought it would push Earth Song off the top spot.

They even delayed Free As A Birds release, thinking Earth Song would ā€˜burn out’ after a few weeks, and they could come in hot.

Earth Song stayed at #1 for 6 weeks, making Christmas #1 (very prestigious here in the UK).
It also kept The Beatles from hitting top spot. šŸ’Ŗ

After Christmas, Michael’s record company sent the Beatles Cd back to Apple Records, stuffed up a turkey’s bottom 🤣🤣

Moral of the story. Don’t try to Fk with MJ. šŸ˜‰šŸ’Ŗ
