So I watched those rips and even though they're not maximum quality it looks amazing. I can't wait to watch the full res versions on a bigger screen! Hopefully they'll just post the Youtube versions now that it's out already.

I feel like a kid, manJust watched them videos and BOY THEY LOOK GORGEOUS.
It does feel like I'm watching them for the first time all over again.
I'd also like to give credit where credit is due: I'm glad they kept the freaking grain instead of washing it out with DNR.
After looking at the comparisons, I can only think that the OG tape masters are really worn out.I feel like a kid, man
It's crazy how bad the videos we've had for so many years looked.
Wow wow wow, this is sensational!! The estate has done a sterling job and should feel proud of this. Shame it didn't get the ad/promo it deserved.26153739.ts

Wish other short films will follow. It certainly breathes new life into these videos and I am super happy seeing this. Wish I could own them on bluray![]()
I’d spend more than I’m willing to admit on a proper 4K Blu ray MJ release
From what I understood it's just the one step that is sold at 40,000 copies. Not the SACD. On their website when you click on the one step it is written that there are just 40,000 copies but not for the SACD. So I think the SACD will be sold permanently.I'm not sure about that. It's true that T25 was a disgrace in every way, but the trend for sound quality is that it is worse with each release, so barring an upset, for fans it will most probably not be worth getting anyway.
The only thing I'm interested in is the Mo-Fi SACD. I will probably never buy anything from Sony ever again.
Huh? Kids don't have a 65 inch screen, lol. The latest iPhone is closer to 6.5 inches.
I wish they hadn't used that word. "Immersive" is the record industry's new word for surround sound. Therefore this is misleading - there is no 5.1 or Atmos mix of Thriller :-(
I wouldn't worry what's "limited edition" or not. Technically everything is limited edition.
I'd buy the SACD as quickly as you can though. I think they said 40,000 copies. Most likely they will all be sold by release.
Like, I still find it strange that people are clamouring for 4K picture quality, but they don't want equivalent high sound quality...
You know all those Grammys it won? Two of them were for Production and Engineering. It's an album with excellent sound quality. Just like all the discussion in this thread about video transfers, so the audio transfer can make a big difference. Technology is getting better all the time.
ie Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' or Human Nature.
Yeah it doesAm I trippin or does Beat It have a few extra seconds that are unseen at the end?
I saw some people saying Beat It doesn't look as sharp as Thriller and, after a few more watches, it's clear it has been de-noised/de-grained a bit.Just watched them videos and BOY THEY LOOK GORGEOUS.

I wonder how it compares to the moonwalker version.I saw some people saying Beat It doesn't look as sharp as Thriller and, after a few more watches, it's clear it has been de-noised/de-grained a bit.
It seems it was denoised in just some scenes. I still like it tho. I can't complain at allI saw some people saying Beat It doesn't look as sharp as Thriller and, after a few more watches, it's clear it has been de-noised/de-grained a bit.
I wish they would have left the film grain as it is so details aren't lost. You can see grain in some parts but not much in others.I saw some people saying Beat It doesn't look as sharp as Thriller and, after a few more watches, it's clear it has been de-noised/de-grained a bit.
Are you sure that wasn't cropped too? This has probably more image on top and bottom.great! but why the hell did they crop thriller back to 4:3... i've seen it in widescreen in 2017..
