Thriller 40th Anniversary

He might have some megalomania going on. He wants to put himself in focus. The MJ rain falls on him I guess. But as long as the content is good and professionally done and provides new info, I am OK with that.
I personally hate the dry posthumous social media account "presence" that's just a faceless voice that plugs merchandise and the like. I am okay with having a familiar face. It happens at times, like JD Witherspoon taking over his father John Witherspoon's YouTube. Always adds a more familiar human touch.

Plus, I only made a TikTok to post MJ edits, so why shouldn't Branca be able to?

2022 has been a good year

- removal of fake songs from Michael
- thriller 40
- sonic fantasy
- thriiler doc
- 2 vids in HD
- Chicago and heaven can wait gaining popularity out of the blue
- MJ musical (debut 2021 but continues to expand)
- 2 leaks

I'm probably forgetting stuff
My TikToks 🙏

But I would like to read/hear more about the E.T. thing. Why did SONY blacklist the project? It did recieve a grammy? I always thought it was a big and succesful project. - Does anyone know more about it? and what was going on between MJ and SONY?
Taken straight from Wikipedia (Because Knowledge is your Friend):

The E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial audiobook was released by MCA on November 15, 1982 – the same month as Michael Jackson's acclaimed sixth studio album Thriller despite conditions given by Epic Records, Jackson's record label, that it should not be released until after Thriller. As a result, Epic took legal action against MCA which forced the album's withdrawal.

Epic Records allowed Jackson to record the album on two conditions:

MCA Records was not to release E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial until after Christmas 1982. (This was to avoid the audiobook's competing with Jackson's new album, Thriller.)
The song "Someone in the Dark" was not to be released as a single.
MCA Records breached both conditions, releasing the storybook in November 1982 and giving 7-inch promo copies of "Someone in the Dark" to radio stations. After Epic lodged a $2 million lawsuit, MCA Records was forced to withdraw the album and prohibited from releasing "Someone in the Dark" as a single. Epic executives had felt that MCA was misleading members of the public into believing the then-recently released single "The Girl Is Mine" was featured on the storybook album. The plaintiffs further requested that MCA Records be banned from working with Jackson in the future and that any other media owned by MCA featuring the singer be prohibited from release.

Also of note:

As a result of the legal restrictions that prohibited the public release of "Someone in the Dark" as a single, the promo copies which were made have since become one of the singer's rarest and most sought-after records; some have been sold for over $1,600. The song's opening version was later included as a bonus track on the 2001 special edition of Thriller, as well as the box set Michael Jackson: The Ultimate Collection.

I didn't know any of this stuff. It's massively irritating. I can understand MCA not liking either of the conditions. They would certainly want to catch the Christmas market for the audiobook. So, I get it. Kind of. But they did agree (presumably?) to the conditions so they should have just sucked it up. The irony is, if they had just waited, they most probably would have benefited from the Thriller phenomenon. I know nobody could have known what was going to happen. And I get that the two projects are quite different. But still, with the benefit of hindsight, it seems extra crazy.

What was MCA thinking? (rhetorical question, I'm just venting, lol)

I can't help but focus on MJ wearing a samurai armor seconds before your timestamp lmao
I wonder what the date of that particular show is. I'm sure it's not the same show we've been seeing & I wonder why we don't have any real tour footage of him with onstage camera. I've seen many shots like this on the victory tour but not so much bad leg 2-history97.

Oh, Quincy’s on there! (5:43) 👍

How long is the full documentary supposed to be?
This was a Japanese doc. Not sure how long the original is but...I would rather have the "bad: on the road documentary. The one mj was working on, reason why we have that studio footage in bad25. Those sessions were not real that we seen. Mj recreated it for the doc & the reason I've come to that conclusion is because if you take a look at the real session photos, mj was never dressed, had make up full par, or anything & he looked 88 more than 85-87....I think I might be right lol!

I just checked the Billboard 200 and Thriller dropped to number 17. All the albums of Christmas standards are climbing up again (e.g. Mariah, Bing Crosby, etc.)

Well, we tried...

December is always a top month for album sales. I’m not surprised thriller is holding strong, it’s going to be under a lot of Christmas trees

WTF IS GOING ON WITH THIS DAMM ESTATE!
What is the purpose & the reason for this to get uploaded today. & wasn't this already uploaded....like where is bj 4k...Thriller is still supposed to be in promotion. I cannot wait until someone who cares is in charge.

This isn't anything new, the Estate reuploads songs quite often.

Somebody tell Damien Shields about this latest travesty from the God awful Michael Jackson Estate fiasco.

Yay, another onslaught of complaints about things that ultimately don’t matter 🙄
Even complaining about the complaining is stale. I only care about Michael Jackson Music! That's all that matters Morty!

We need n- *burp* -ew Michael Jackson Music Morty! Rick and Morty Season 8: the search for new King of Pop tunes! We're gonna bid on ebay for "Can't get your weight off me" for 25,000 dollars! Even though you can get them for free from the Sony Servers! And Lord Jackson, don't get me started on that heist mission-
