TJ Jackson cannot continue to serve as a surrogate parent to Michael Jackson's 3 kids without getting some compensation, so the Executors of MJ's Estate are asking the judge to give TJ a reasonable amount of money to keep the ship afloat.

The Executors filed legal docs -- obtained by TMZ -- in which they say TJ has been extremely devoted to Paris, Prince and Blanket since MJ's death. TJ -- who is now a co-guardian along with Katherine Jackson -- spends 40 hours a week caring for the 3 kids.

The Executors say it's been a hardship for TJ -- who is married with 3 kids of his own. Although he's been a co-guardian since July, he hasn't received a single penny for his services.

The Executors are asking the judge to allow them to pay TJ $9,000 a month, retroactive to July. They add, the way it's going now, TJ may not be able to continue, so compensation is essential.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to us.

I'm sorry but this is just plain bull-crap.
TJ and Katherine said during granny-napping episode that TJ was already taking care of some child-minding duties, and now he is asking money for what he did earlier for free?
Also, shouldn't Katherine give some of the money from family allowance which she receives to TJ?

It's not like he is feeding Michael children, the estate has paid the house he lived, the 2 million a year children's allowance, the chef, nannies, tutors, securities, housekeeper, assisstants or whatever in the house ... So he asks the estate to pay him salary as the co guardian. Ok...:smilerolleyes:

Because I want Michael Jackson's children well taken care of, I want their caretakers adequately compensated. TJ has proven he is loyal to Michael's children by fighting off last summer's raiders, also, so far, he has been able to keep up with their ever changing needs. I'm fine with the housing, board, and monetary compensation the Michael Jackson Estate is providing TJ Jackson. :yes:

that article reads as though TJ is hired help "he spends 40 hrs a week caring for the kids"..."He has not been compensated".....wait....what? He is not hired help..he is a co-guardian and he is related to them at that. I agree he should get some type of monies to help run his own home IF he IS losing wages to put food on the table for his own children. BUT..everything PPB need is already accounted for by the estate...they pay the bills these children accumulate. But no one needs $9,000 a month to fend for 3 children who's expenses are already paid. I thik the estate is going with this because they know that Katherne is not able to care for these children on her own and rather than loose TJ as a co-guardian and the stability of the children they are going to "PAY" TJ what he is asking for. No matter how wrong it seems or not. Its not like these kids are wards of the state and were left penniless by their deceased parent and no one is footing the bill here...and TJ knows that...so he is going to ask for "compensation" for his "time"...just as hired help would...smh

from the very beginning we knew it was bound to happen, he was going to ask for money sooner or later .

I guess TJ's role is a bit like hired help since he is in charge of the household logisitcs etc. 40 hours is a lot actually in a week and if it is stopping him from gaining employement to provide for his own three kids then I guess he does need something.

This. The situation is quite different from the usual guardianship situation, it does sound like a full-time unpaid job. I have no problem with this arrangement whatsoever.

I guess the man needs to have money to look after his own little family too, you can't expect him to do this job for nothing if it's taking him away from other employment. Think TJ makes a better guardian to Michael's children because he has youth on his side unlike Katherine who has already brought up her own children, she needs some time for herself at her age.

There is a fact here, if Randy was given co guardianship he would have taken the estate for every penny he could however I can just see TJ has been going all along trying the best he can to cope and this very tiny amount allows him not be levied with any financial burden he might have solely for taking care of the kids, lets be real here $9000 a month is not going to put him in the lap of luxury is it, for me the amount speaks for itself. justified and warranted,

Of course he should be compensated. The estate thinks so as well.
If Michael had appointed a co/guardian guardian he would have made sure they were compensated.
TJ is in charge of managing a lot of things for the household and this cuts into his own time and means
to make money to care for own wife and children. It shouldn't be a hardship for him. It's only fair


and if we could see Randy's head explode in the process, would be icing on the cake. ..

I'd say that's quite reasonable, it's pretty much the smallest amount I've heard since Michael's passing (of course it's all in a context different from, say, a "regular Joe"s). And if he's really working 40hrs a week, it's even more so 'cos he can't have another job.
But yeah, I also think it should be taken from Kat's allowance...

Yes he had Royal, Dee Dee, and another daughter who's name I think is Jo Jo.

It just makes me a little sad that after everything Michael has done to support his family over the years, none of them do anything for him without some sort of compensation involved.

Thank you for saying what I was searching to say. For once something involving paying a Jackson family member is reasonable and deserved. JMO

No one bitches and moans about the millions pocketed by the wealthy executors, and zillions of lawyers doing the estate's business.

TJ is not independently wealthy, and deserves much more than the measley 9,000.

Hmmm I don't think I would call $9,000 per month measley. Some people would do it for love. But I saying that, I actually don't have a problem with him receiving compensation, he should.

TJ is looking after the kids when he has his own family. So he's sacrificing his own family life in the process so he deserves to get paid. And $9,000 a month is nothing really. I wouldn't have any issues if he got paid even more.

Well it's because they get 10% from the money they bring in and 90% of it is put aside for the kids. For the ones with no math ability millions of dollars for Executors mean 9 times the millions of dollars for the kids. It's as simple as that.

LOL. Estate is under probate, which means everyone needs to submit paperwork to the court for a judge to approve the payment. Plus Court records are public if you don't know. Estate do not need to contact the media, media can get the court documents on their own.
 
I don't see why folks should be upset. He's coguardian and he should be compensated. It's definitely justified

I am on the fence on this TJ situation. It does feel icky that he is asking to be compensated to care for the kids of the man who paid for his (and his siblings) education and basically, took care of him when his own father wouldn't.

But let's be real here, we are discussing the Jacksons & money....so I guess it could have been worse. He could have been asking for 60,000 a month like Katherine.

True, 6K a month won't break the kids' trust fund, but at the end of the day, I just hope the kids don't question his role in their lives..like is he doing it for the money or because he truly cares?

another Jacksons conundrum.

I do wonder what world some ppl live in interms the amounts thats given/needed to raise the kids. maybe its the socialist in me but the amounts all round that are given out are ridiculous imo. so first it cost 50k in legal fees cause of granny napping now we have this extra expense. was tj earning this amount from a job that he had to quit to look after the kids as imo thats the only way he should be compensated for something he offered to do

I agree and that is what I said in my earlier post as well..if TJ is loosing this amount from previous earnings...then fine...he should be compensated the $9,000 a month...otherwise that is just way to much money to be asking for. I realize that TJ is accustomed to living a higher life style than most of us here..and I think he is doing a great job co-parenting the children...but tbh...$9,000 a month is alot to ask for even if your last name IS Jackson. As someone else stated here...it would be a shame if the kids felt as though the care that they are getting from TJ came down to a dollar sign and not out of love...Heaven knows they are dealing with enough shady family members that "pretend" to care and really don't.
 
Im Glad it is Michael's Estate executors who decides what is fair, Without a judgmental attitude toward TJ and his responsabilities as Co. Guardian, instead of the fan base. The Estate knows TJ's circumstances and what is necessary. We do not. Seems the Estate has heart :heart:
