The film is a comedy that spoofs movies and television programs like Miss Congeniality, Planet of the Apes, Cast Away, Love Boat, Gilligan's Island, The Sixth Sense, Jurassic Park, Men in Black and more. Michael Jackson plays the role of Agent MJ. Jackson's scenes were shot at his Neverland Ranch home. The DVD includes 20 minutes of unreleased, never before seen Michael Jackson footage, not limited to interviews of the world's greatest entertainer.

Michael Jackson, one of the most widely beloved entertainers and profoundly influential artists of all time, leaves an indelible imprint on popular music and culture. Five of Jackson's solo albums - "Off the Wall," "Thriller," "Bad," "Dangerous" and "HIStory," are among the top sellers of all time, and "Thriller" holds the distinction as the largest selling album worldwide in the history of the recording industry with more than 70 million units sold. Additionally, singles released from the "Thriller" album sold more than 100 million copies worldwide, another all time record.

During his extraordinary career, he sold an estimated 750 million records worldwide, released 13 No. 1 singles and became one of a handful of artists to be inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This is 'Miss CastAway and the Island Girls' made in 2004. I never saw it but was reliably informed it's awful. It's a low budget B-movie with Terrible effects and terrible acting. An embarrassment. Luckily it was ignored when originally released (straight to DVD I think). I'd rather it was lost forever.

I bought Miss Castaway and it's pretty dire! Like the idea of some unreleased footage though.

Yeah i was gonna ask what this was cause its kinda confusing.at first i thought they were talking about tii.but yeah miss cast....but any unreleased new foitage of anything is worth while

I'd love to get my hands of getting this on DVD.

You're in luck; Amazon has DVDs from the original release new for under $7 or used from under $2.

The original DVD has scenes from Neverland and an interview with Michael, there probably won't be anything on the new release that wasn't on the original.

Although Miss Castaway is not a great film... would have been nice for Valcom to at least mention the title in the press release. If there is anything new here, it'll probably be 20 minutes of out takes from the neverland shoot.

I have never seen a copy of the DVD, just the Michael bits on YouTube and I was aware that at the time of the shoot, Michael himself turned interviewer and interviewed the author of the book "they cage the animals at night"... Does anybody know if this interview was on the original DVD? If not, maybe it will be on this one??

Lawd!!!! I just can't with this continued fuckery at MJ's expense...But wait, wouldn't they have to go through the Estate to use MJ's name as a selling tool?

Is this a good thing or bad thing? I don't know what to think.

Its neither good nor bad. Its just they will be releasing on TV and DVD The "Miss Castaway" movie. The article Its cloacked in mystery to garner interest from people who may not know what they are talking about. I dont know why they are making such a big deal about it. Also I believe The NL footage from the director of Miss Castaway has also been uploaded on youtube a few yrs ago. I really dont think its anything new. or anything esatate would be concerned about. The Estate or Michael doesnt own the Miss castaway movie. Plus MJ already signed off his rights to be filmed in it.

Not if MJ had already signed a release.

I am so sick an tired of people dickriding Michael Jackson's name for money.

I hate how all they talked about was Michael in terms of numbers and money...

"This is a golden opportunity for ValCom!

*sigh* Yes, because all Michael Jackson is, is a big money profit for everybody.

I checked Amazon.ca, it's not there. If it's an Europe thing, then I'm very disappointed.

Quite honestly this is a awful movie, but how did it become Michael's???

Why in the heck could they have worked at getting "Ghost" Michael best's and a real movie?

I have the movie at home, and I am sorry but it is as someone said B quality. Michael does not have the energy and interest as he had in the full length Bad video, for example. Maybe he was not fully interested in the project; I do not know. The movie itself is not great. What I found valuable was the special features where Michael was interviewed and he spoke to the author. I am not sure if there would be extra special features other than what was on the DVD. If this is the movie they are talking about, they better fix the computer thing where Agent M appears. Even Agent M's voice sounds as though he is not interested.

i dont think he was. i think he might have been sick the day of shooting those scenes. I remember reading somewhere where that was the case but i dont think he was all that interested in this movie either. He was more into something serious then a B movie.
