Wow, Yonge Street in Toronto has been closed off, peeps are out celebrating. I'm celebrating right here.

i hate to say this but im goin to mention this because it is important,this is not a stab at the athletes but rather at these institutions. I didn't read this whole thread so if it hasn't been mentioned already i think the olympics proves to be no different then international events like the WTO,IMF,etc all these corporate sponsors who profit from this and then end up giving nothing back to the community... wether it is the homeless people in canada, taking over the native's territories,spending the billions of money on the military industrial complexe.
