Hi all,
Firstly I've not found anything in my search and I apologise if this is in the wrong place etc.
I'm coming to you all for some straight advice on this topic.
Having grown up with MJ like most of you, Neverland holds a special place in my heart regardless of the fact that it wasn't his home after the trial. I'm heading to the US next weekend from Australia visiting NYC/Vegas/LA trip and I plan to fulfil some of my dreams to visit key MJ places in all 3.
I'm only in LA for 2 nights staying somewhere near the Walk of Fame. I have 1 day to make this work and I've been trying to research as much as possible but just keep coming up with conflicting information so I need to know anyones advice/opinions on the following please:
- Are the 'Neverland' gates still there? I've seen them at auction but it's never been clear to me if they were THE gates.
- Is there any reference to MJ outside of whatever gates are there? I've read that you'd drive right past it and not even know it was Neverland
- Finally, in your opinions, is it worth the trip out there?
I'll be upfront and say that I there is some sentimental reasons for me wanting to go but I also want this particular experience to say 'I've done it', post some pics on Facebook to show my friends and family who all know I've been MJ mad since the womb. I'm old enough to know that it won't be the same, there will be no atmosphere there and it will probably be an empty shell of a place but will I be disappointed?
If any fans have visited recently, I'd be really keen to get your opinions so please feel free to post any info you have.
