What are the chances we hear Mark Ronson's rendition of "Lovely Way"? Or any other unreleased renditions from "Michael" & "Xscape"?

the entire project as a whole is clearly not doing much for Michael if you really look at all of the feedback and just overall attention it is not reigniting much interest. Of course we shouldnt expect some unfinished songs to be huge smash hits. I'm pretty sure alot of the "success" this project is seeing is from the Thriller challenge that some fans were doing to support.
The project has a lot of flaws, there's no denying that, but it's not a flop as it's selling and is still relevant on charts. Although to me part of the reason is because of how much of a cultural phenomenon Thriller is and not because of fan trends.

I agree with LN having somewhat of an impact but Lol what are you talking about with that last line. Neither of them are even #1 one right now. Maybe these artists reach the #1 spot because they are popular??
Fine, I guesstimated. Usually it is Bieber though.

And he has not always been honest about streaming numbers.

Now the Weeknd genuinely is popular. Ed Sheeran also got the biggest streaming song ever. It's very rare overall though, for a newcomer to take the charts, I believe. We're talking strictly Spotify here, not Billboard.

Yeah he has told fans to loop stream his music before to make it artificially more successful which is really just pretty shitty. Doesn't pay spotify though which was why I was so confused by what you said, understood now.

That was a one time thing, and funnily enough, he didn’t even reach number one with that song. The hate train was real. Not to even mention that if this were true, Bieber would have done way better with his latest singles, all of which struggled to reach the top 50.
There is no proof that any artist pays Spotify to be number one. If you have a viral song, it will happen organically, if not, even with the most desperate promotion, your music will not top the charts.

I think Thriller 40 did really well given the lack of promotion and the poor planning.

Imagine how well it would have done if they made a big deal of the short films in 4K and possibly released a single or made a video out of the studio footage of Mike and Paul recording the song

As for Lovely Way, I doubt we'll hear the 2010 version unless it leaks

I feel 'There Must Be More To Life Than This' would work great as a Christmas anthem, it has a bit of an 'Imagine' vibe!

What success? Thriller 40 is kind of a flop
Thriller has been in the top 50 in the US (biggest music market) and many European countries for over a month now, despite no promotion. Many current artists with endless promotion don’t manage to achieve that feat. It isn’t a flop at all.

In fact it will beat Invincibles 6 weeks on the Belgian top 100. You read that right it dropped off never to return after 6 weeks while History stayed on the charts for well over 100 weeks…

History was a big success in Europe, while not so much in the US, as it only stayed 36 weeks on Billboard 200.

This is not a thread for Unreleased songs. Go back to that thread and ask that stuff.
