MM90, I've only just discovered it!!!

I liked Partyman at the time (although I'm a bit 'meh' about it now, lol) but I don't think this was a single in the UK. At any rate I don't remember it and bc Prince never really got me going I never bothered to explore his stuff outside of the chart stuff he did.

Listened to this today for the first time. Mind blown! 😲

Oh my yes, I absolutely loved it live! My mom recorded the SNL 15th anniversary special on vhs that's how I discovered that when I was little lol!

Here you go, Hiker. This song spent the first few weeks of its life as a cassette - only single. The first ever. An ode to cassettes and the joys of home taping. The record industry was not amused. Lead vocals by Annabella Lwin who was, IIRC, only 13 at the time.

Isn't it, though? Haven't listened to that one literally in decades. I had such a blast listening to it. Of course, the fact that Malcolm McClaren stole Adam's band (from Adam and the Ants) still rankles even after all these years. He stole the guys, he stole the sound. But, still, awesome song! I posted it for @Hiker to listen to and she said this:
