Expectations are rising day by day. Most posts, more enthusiasm. That's so cool.
Almost everyone expects a huge album, a killing first singel and an awesome video.
But I asked myself recently what new, unexplored, revolutionary can we see in a clip nowadays?
The technology is available for evrybody, great directors and producers work with a lot of today's stars and, that's the most important, WE HAVE SEEN IT ALL.
I don't have this artistic imagination, but, still, I completely can't imagine how Michael could shock us with video.
I think we have reached limits in that area nothing else can be invented.
Nothing shocks or amuses anymore.
Take f.e. 4 minutes with Justin.Madonna. They probably worked hard with this video but
...a few nice computer tricks, a few nice scenes - that's it.
I know that Michale is Michael but what could he do?

Somebody wrore here that back in 2001 Michael was working an shocking video for Unbreakable.
Whaht does mean shocking? any news about it?
 
Michael is more creative than any other out there.... whatever he does is groundbreaking and sets standards
look at Scream and "Scream-like" videos after it for instance...
well, even "YRMW" and similar to that one after that.....(and what is important it always makes sense... it's not just effects for effects... it's a short film)...
let Michael be Michael and we'll be again in awe... I'm sure of it:D

i see your point but for me, seeing a Michael Jackson Video play that I have not watched ten million times ... viewing anything new from Michael is going to shock the !#@* out of me, no matter what he comes up with :lol: he could sit there still as statue and I will be like, "O M G !!!!!"
 
A lot of new movies by Pixar are coming out in 3D. Not the 3D with the old red and blue glasses but 3D in that it comes out at you just watching the screen. This is what Disney and Spielberg are looking at doing for future movies. Even George Lucas wants to redo all 6 Star Wars (which has had as many rererereleases as Thriller) in 3D.

So I'd like to see MJ break the music video market with this. MJ has already surprised me technology wise by being able to upload our face on to his body and be him in the Thriller short film. I dont know of any other artist who has done this.

MJ probably doesnt even know about that. lol. thats how he involved he needed to be for that. Also, its embarrassingly badly done, and a waste of time. Also... not that special if it worked well anyway,

Well, regarding Unbreakable back then I imagined a dancing on the air, on the walls, weired angles, and moving transparents walls. I was in shock when I read that Michael INDEED wanted something with dancing in the air, like a Matrix thing.... Talking about thinking alike. LOL

I dunno I think MJ will figure out something :p He always does. He has an innovative mind. He oozes innovation. I'm sure he will blow our minds, even if he's just sitting in front of a camera.

What was embarrassingly done? i kno u aint talkin about the thriller video.....
