I think most would agree that MJ's live vocals were not at their best during this time, but what show(s) do you think had the best live vocals? I think Brunei 1996 was probably him at his best vocally during the HIStory Tour.
Lets not make this into ANOTHER lip syncing thread.
The vocals in the shows in Copenhagen and Gothenburg to me are like Dangerous Tour level good compared to them in, say, one of the shows in Auckland (there are two, I can't remember which one). I agree that the 1996 leg overall showed Michael with more energy, though the 1997 leg should not be fully discredited because of concerts like the one in Munich. If anything, the ones from late May to July are the ones to see, the remainder from August to October was mediocre at best, with the exception of the ones in Copenhagen and Gothenburg in terms of live voice. The concerts from 1996 that you mention are better than those two overall though.can't believe people say Copenhagen/Gothenburg was best live vocals..
It was definitely Brunei, Kuala Lumpur or Bucharest 96.
None of the 1997 shows had good live vocals..
its like people ignoring the 1996 leg.. which had way more energy and better live vocals on some shows.
Definitely one of the best shows of 96, if only we could watch it in true HQ someday (only Scream-ITC in that quality so far)I dont know about the best but I like Kuala Lumpur. WBSS sounds good here (video starts on WBSS)
that one scream performance, with first verse fully live! :-x
yea true. my comment was kinda ironic.Gonna have to disagree on that one. His voice sounded really bad there. Which is funny, because it's from the Brunei concert. The show that I said had the best live vocals lol. His voice got better later on.

Although Michael Prince also said they were going to record vocals for WBSS to use on this is it along with other songs as MJs voice was not doing too well throughout rehearsals building up to July. So I think TII realistically would have had a similar amount of miming to the Dangerous tour of not History tour
