Why was everyone so nasty and mean to michael jackson??

It makes me want to be nice to everyone, because i think they would feel how michael jackson felt. It sounds silly, and wierd, but i feel like i am a nicer person ever since i knew michael.

Michael was far too nice and generous, that is the only thing I can think of to explain why people who pretended to be friends betrayed him and took from him. It breaks my heart to think of how lonley he must have been.

We loved him for his wonderful nature, but maybe if he had been tougher, and not so generous people would not have got the chance to hurt him. No wonder he preferred children and animals to people.

Right on.

Besides, we all know that human condition, its primary nature is bad and evil, we come to this world pure but as we learn along the path of life the evil also is in crescendo in our soul, that's why it's up to us for the first moments in life to block them.
And money and fame....thase are two things that goes so well together. You do everything for that, even backstabbing your mother...like i said human condition so it's everyone's choice to be on one side or the other.
my thoughts...

That's why I hate these people so much, when they mean things to Michael, including betrayal, spoofing him, screwing him behind his back, lying and believing BS about him. They're too stupid to understand him clearly, they don't understand and don't care about his decency to everyone. They are just to stupid to realize everything.

He never deserved such poor treatment. It's so sad. I think half of them were probably jealous of his fame, and most were after his money. He was such a powerful, kind person and they wanted to take that down.

He saw only the good in people. He thought that if he was kind to others that they would also be kind to him in return. Unfortunately that's not how it works in the real world.

Michael was a very sensitive, caring man. He was an easy target, a 'lover, not a fighter.' This made it easy for the media to say what they liked about him, they tore him to shreds over nothing at all because they knew they'd get to him. This in turn made him an easy target for public bashing. The papers were doing it so everyone started doing it. The media made him out to be some kind nutter, they wrapped the public around their little fingers and made them believe that Michael was a complete and utter monster.

It's pathetic, low and scummy what those people did to Michael. Disgusting. They bullied that man, they made sure he couldn't enjoy his life, all because he was an easy target.
I get really angry when I think about this, people can be so cruel.

What the media did to Michael is pretty much the same as a gang of youths going around to an old man's house and torturing him with insults, put downs and other types of emotional blackmail for years on end. It's bullying. It's Pathetic.

In the end Michael came out stronger than the rest of them. He never lashed out at the media, not once did he lose his cool and start hitting all around him. He kept himself to himself and tried to get on with his life and I really admire him for that.

I believe that all started from the tabloids...As Michael said bad things sell more and when people hear a lie all the time they believe it...Michael was such a kind, generous and caring person and always an easy target...And so it happened...Anyone could say anything absolutely crazy or absurd and everyone believed it and still does because since it's about Michael Jackson, it has to be weird...

Michael was a good and generous man, his heart rich with love, and he drew a lot of attention because of his kindness, his innocence, his generosity, his fame, his looks, and his wealth. He wanted to live a lifestyle that was different to ours that included reflecting on a childhood he missed out on, caring for children and the suffering all around the world, and even adopting rare and endangered species that he wanted to help preserve and save from lab experiments. It was a lifestyle only a celebrity could adopt and the media believed that celebrities were so sheltered from living normal lifestyles that they thought and behaved differently from "normal" people and that Michael was going even beyond that, labelling him as detaching himself from reality and living in a fantasy where he thought he was Peter Pan. They used that to mock him because they realised people liked to hear malicious gossip and bad things about a person rather than good things about them. If their magazines and newspapers were to say of only the good things he did they might not sell as many, but say that Michael was spending or donating millions of dollars while he has debts that could make him bankrupt and has no concept of the thoughts that he has a spending problem, or say that he has a bank vault floating in space with plans to build an atmospheric dome on the moon by the Lake of Dreams where he will one day go and live there, then people will buy it and either believe in it themselves or laugh at it and say he's crazy for believing he can do that.

It's not just the tabloids that are at fault, it's the readers too. A lot of people thrive off malicious gossip even if the stories are untrue. For a celebrity to be on the receiving end of that gossip it's really bad for them because they're a public icon and they draw more attention than say a person living at the bottom of the street, and they don't have anywhere else to go to hide and take a breather because the paparazzi are constantly following them and the whole world knows about them and wants to know more stuff they can gossip about to friends. If they try to take a holiday somewhere to just relax they end up in a magazine barely a day later sunbathing or hanging out with people with headlines like "Bikini-Clad Beyonce Exclusive Photos!" or "Michael Totting Up With The Girls In Miami." They just can't get away from it and it must be frustrating as hell to just wanting to do something normal and get away from the hype only to have someone nearby pointing and laughing at them because they were mentioned in the morning newspaper with an exaggerated headline and a report that was completely made up.

I think he wasn't too nice, its the rest of the world that has got it wrong. If more people were like him the world would be a much nicer place. I know not everyone has cash to help others but he didn't just do that, he was interested in the people he helped and really cared from his heart - if more people cared it would be great.

I use to think it was good, but know I am starting to lean to bad and evil.

why were people so mean? because michael was an easy target and in some ways his good actions backfired and were misinterpreted. he would open up to the wrong people and it would have consequences when he confided details of his life that he never should have. it just made him look even more freaky in the eyes of many in the public. even now in death many people say his death played out just as weird as his life was

Why were people so mean? Because of a few things...

For some strange reason, society doesn't like nice people who do good deeds!! I'm not saying there are no good people out there, I think there's alot, but they are shouted out by the general feeling of cynicism and everyone is out to get something. Usually money I may add, as I reiterate my point that money is the root of all evil. There is no trust anymore, it seems that society think people are generally bad, and only out for themselves. For example, I was having a conversation with someone the other day about Michael giving so much money to charities, and how no other artist has come close to doing what he done. I got met with the response of 'He probably only did it for tax relief' I mean, WTF?? What is the point in that? It's illogical and stupid but sadly, for some unknown reason humankind doesn't seem to believe in kindness and unselfish acts anymore. They think it's weird, and there must be some selfish or disturbing reason for doing nice things!

More reasons why people were so mean...jealousy. An incredibly talented, good looking, BLACK man was making all this money and getting so much attention, and people just don't like it. The reason I put black in capitols, is because I firmly believe his race had alot to do with the punishment the media put him through. As much as certain historical figures, including Michael, have broken barriers, we still have a long way to go with racism. Especially within the media, it's not out and out racism these days, it's sneakier, and they make up ''facts'' to vilify black artists, just like they have Michael.

Again with the jealousy, all the money Michael had the fact that he could build his own little world within neverland, and act out his childhood. People scream and shout 'it's weird' 'it's not normal' Now you tell me, who wouldn't like to do that?? Create your own little world, where you can have nothing but fun? Hell, I'd love it! I'd have fairground rides, cotton candy stalls, my own little shops...everything! Again, it's jealousy.

People will say until they're blue in the fact that Michael was 'weird' for caring for children. But let’s face it, if it was a white women doing the same thing, no one would have a bad word to say about it. In fact, they would be praising her.

They were mean to him because he was a good man, sensitive, caring, because he looked different, it's prejudice, ignorance and racism. They were mean to him because they were jealous, because they couldn't understand how he could create so many brilliant things and he 'wasn't supposed to'

All geniuses are different; most are put down their whole lives, outcasted by the general public because they are 'different' when in fact their ideals and talent live on forever. They go through agony in their lifetimes, but will be remembered forever, Michael is one of those people. I don't know why they have to go through this, maybe it's just human nature.

Totally agree with this post. He was really misunderstood. I always understood what he was trying to do. It made me greatly admire him. People just don't like or are afraid of those who are different. I wish people were more kind and respectful to those who are different. We are all unique after all, so why is there so much judgment? I think it really has to start with education. Start teaching kids at a young age to accept people no matter what.

Just a thought.

"Seeing good in others, reminds us of the bad in ourselves, this is why they tried to take him down. Unfortunately, they succeeded" !!

"Miss you more every day Michael, you will stay in my heart forever" x

Absolutely, that's incredibly important.

However there's this big poisinous snake waiting in the grass in the shape of the media, which can very easily undo all the good teaching school's and families can do. That needs to change too. The media needs to change. To STOP being so negative. TELL the TRUTH. And allow people to make up THEIR OWN MINDS without forcing predijuced opinions down their throats.

It's just human nature to get one over your fellow being :( And as for the media "No news is good news." I love the "and finally" segmants on most news shows but answer me this: Why is does it have to be "And finally..."? :(

I've never forced anything onto anyone. I was bullied at school for having a skin condition. I looked up to Michael because he had a skin condition (albeit a different kind) like me and listening to his music was a form of escape and means to forget everything that was happening at that time.

Well said I agree with you 100 percent. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Michael was BLACK...that's 1000% right.

Its okay for WHITE celebrities to make their skin BLACK, but when a BLACK man has a skin disorder and tries to do something about it, they do everything they possibly can to ruin his life.

put simply...because they are b*****d s**t head mofos who wanted to push him into the depths of pure hell :ranting: I hope they can't sleep at night
