I just had to post that picture...and i agree with that tweet:

The Best of Internet ?@TheBestofMJJ
Michael Jackson's Xscape is #7 this week in US (34,905 units).

VERY good, but we need some promotion NOW @MJonlineteam

It's a great record. All around. It saddens me so much that he isn't with us anymore. I'd love to see the magic he would have created via videos. :(

Michael Jackson's Wikipedia Page Gets More Revisions Than Obama, Jesus

Wiki pages for Jesus, Barack Obama, Adolf Hitler and the Catholic Church have been subject to thousands of revisions since they were first published. But here's a tidbit that's rather surprising: Michael Jackson's Wikipedia page is one of the Top 5 most-revised Wikis ever.

Yes, Wiki's bio for the pop star who died five years ago gets rewritten more often than pages for our sitting president, the subject of evolution, 9/11 and even the Christian savior. And these figures don't include edits done to related pages like Thriller or the moonwalk.

Lest you chalk this glut of revisions up to his posthumous album Xscape or that MJ hologram, take a look at the edits to his page from February 2014. It was revised more than 50 times that month, and most of those changes had to do with users tweaking sections about his wealth, legacy and even debating whether he bleached his skin....

I do not see this as a positive thing as it's because of haters who constantly try to hijack the narrative about MJ and sneak dirt in his Wiki article about the allegations and everything else. Pretty sad actually how much BS there is on Michael's Wiki page.

here we go

i knew somethign crazy like this would surface lol Illuminati, Saturn Agenda (for the album cover)..... people are crazy

This lady needs help...seriously lol

Chicago, Loving You and APWNN are the best "contemporised" songs on the album IMO. For some reason I don't think they'll release any of them as a single though.

Completely agree that these are the best contemporised songs on the album.

Chicago and APWNN be singles IMO. I'm hoping APWNN be next!

All 3 are the ones I hope will be released as singles...Who knows though?

I hope they get on it soon, the estate seems notorious for starting out strong and then fizzing out and the album is then forgotten about :(

Chicago is amazing. Actually think Timbaland worked wonders with that as I don't rate the demo at all. Chicago, Place With No Name, Xscape.. I remember being bummed about it being 8 songs but these 8 are all amazing amazing songs! (Apart from DYKWYCA for me - don't rate that one at all)

Saw the physical single of LNFSG is on amazon and disappointed to be honest. Was expecting something more (another couple of remixes at least). Feel this is an opportunity wasted. A real shame because I had got my hopes up after the good things the estate have done with the album. Sorry to have a moan.

I am very disappointed. I bought my copy online and Sony delayed the sale here in Brazil. My CD arrived just today and came defective, the CD will not play, only the DVD! It will take more time for a good return.

:/

LNFSG is finally starting to get heavy spins in my area. Better late than never I guess. I have a good feeling about this project. At first I didn't know how it would go here in the US. People are warming to Mj now. The music is great! I say APWNN next, then follow with Chicago. Then go from there. Strong tunes on this album, all Thriller no filler!

I'm not hearing any mentioning a nothing of the album... We need some PR!

You go on and on like Prince is going to turn into some homicidal maniac or something, stop sweating it. They haven't made Prince psycho or overly aggressive as far as we have seen. I've seen many recent studies that suggest that the influence of video games on violence is vastly overstated (which I agree with), and many studies saying it has somewhat of an influence. In all honesty, at the end of the day, if you're psycho enough to go on a violent rampage or something, you're going to do it regardless of video games.

Michael was for love and empathy, yes, but he clearly wasn't against violence in fiction. I say that judging by the fact he possessed many arcade games that featured violence (including his own video game Moonwalker where you can kick gangsters). Even in his various short films, Michael takes a tommy gun and blindly opens fire on multiple people in a nightclub, he shoots a man at point-blank range with a pistol, he knocks out the man in charge of the stage curtain or whatever, he provokes a barfight in which violence breaks out between multiple people (with him flipping, punching and kneeing multiple people), and even setting the entire bar on fire. I'm not against this stuff in the media, but it's not like Michael was ever completely innocent of featuring violence in his works too.

This really isn't the place to discuss such matters but damn, don't worry so much. Just let him be a normal kid. He'll be fine :p

Just for the record, I wrote ONE SENTENCE re Prince's vine post: "I am not liking his interest in violent video games." One sentence, and for that I got called "uneducated." WTF??? When another poster (Mechi) gave some links re harmful effects from these games, I posted a section from one of them that found these games lead to increased aggression and lack of empathy (study of over 3k players). I did that as a response to the 'uneducated" comment. So after these 2 posts, I get accused of "going on and on" and thinking that Prince is going to turn into a "homicidal maniac." WTF again???

I don't think I should get all this crap b/c of a single sentence or for quoting a study that shows harmful effects of these games.

For the record, I don't think that Prince will be a homicidal maniac!! Can't believe I even have to SAY that. I also don't think that MJ would approve. It's one thing for MJ as an adult to play games with violence in them or to act out a violent scene in a video, but with his kids, he was very protective. The BG's in interviews re their new book said that the kids' use of the internet was monitored.

I do not appreciate being attacked personally or having my opinion misrepresented. Some people say these games are not harmful b/c they have played them w/o bad effects--but I disagree with the general effect they have. Frankly, the people defending violent games have certainly been aggressive and non-empathetic to me!

MJ probably also would not approve his BGs talking about his private life in public or his fans being hungry for such information. Not judging, just saying that people around MJ and his fans also do a lot of things he probably would not approve of.

Like I said I wish fans stopped putting everything these kids do under a scrutiny. It's none of our business what video games Prince plays with. Video games are the least of their problems. Being under the pressure of constant public scrutiny is a bigger one IMO.

No promotion for two weeks....

Calm down folks, I don't think even living artists are promoting every single week. The single still gets good airplay and the album is holding up well almost everywhere. I'm sure they will do something, let's not panic just yet lol

I would release A Place With No Name Monday, June, 23 or week before (June, 16). Single and video the same day.

L.A. Reid on Posthumous MJ Album: “We Tried to Do What Michael Would Have Loved”
June 6, 2014

Michael Jackson’s duet with Justin Timberlake, “Love Never Felt So Good,” made history when it reached the top 10 not long ago. Now, the late King of Pop is the only artist ever to score a top-10 hit in each of five decades. Response to the catchy, disco-flavored tune has been so positive that it’s easy to forget that not everybody likes the idea of Michael Jackson material being released after his death. But L.A. Reid, who oversaw MJ’s latest posthumous release, XSCAPE, says the late legend would have wanted it that way.

“He wanted his music to live forever and I think he wanted his legacy — as any great artist would want their legacy — to live forever,” Reid told reporters recently. “And I don’t think that when a great artist leaves us in body, that they leave us in spirit.”

“He was there in spirit, he was there musically,” Reid continued, describing the process of remastering the eight “leftover” songs that appear on XSCAPE. “In working on the record, we tried to do, as best we could, what we thought Michael would have loved. And those of us that worked on it that knew Michael really well, we had a good perspective on it. But the truth is, you can’t ever really know, because he wasn’t there.”

However, in response to those who wonder if the fact that MJ never released those particular songs must indicate that he felt they were sub par, Reid counters, “Those were his songs. And he sang them many, many times, so my guess is that he must have loved the songs.”

So why didn’t he release them? Because, Reid says, they simply weren’t as good as some of the other material Michael was working on at the same time. “Those songs were competing, at the time, against some of the greatest songs ever written that Michael had released, you know,” Reid points out. “So, they weren’t ‘Thriller.’ They weren’t ‘Off the Wall.’”

In other words, Reid joked, “They weren’t ‘Bad,’ — but they weren’t bad.”

As the fifth anniversary of Jackson’s death approaches, on June 25, he continues to make his presence felt, and not just through the new duet with Justin. His classic “Billie Jean” re-entered the top 20 last week thanks to its inclusion in a viral video of a high school kid dancing to it. Michael also scored his 50th Hot 100 single last week, thanks to “Slave to the Rhythm,” another song from XSCAPE that an MJ “hologram” performed on the Billboard Music Awards last month

Afrojack: “Michael Jackson’s ‘Xscape’ Is A Damn Good Album!”

Dutch dance decimator Afrojack has told MTV News UK how Michael Jackson’s recent posthumous release is a “damn good album” despite having it released nearly five years since his death.

In an exclusive interview with the Ten Feet Tall producer, who in 2012 remixed the title track of the King Of Pop’s Bad as part of the LP’s 25th anniversary, told us his thoughts on whether albums should continue to be released after an artist’s passing…

“First off I don’t think that the release necessarily conflicts with being able to rest in peace. It’s a two-way story, just depending on how you tell it. On the one hand, you could say that an artist can start resting in peace, when his work is done.

“On the other hand, you could say that his legacy shouldn’t be shaped without his own accord. I’ve heard the tracks and, as a Michael Jackson fan, I must admit it’s a damn good album!”

Without hearing any of the songs on the album aside from LNFSG, my partner had written it off because he thought the Estate/Sony was just putting out something to make a quick buck. After we listened to the album during dinner one night, I was surprised to see that my CD was gone the next morning. Guess who's been listening to it for the last 3 days in his car? Oh well, time to get another copy :)
