With This Is It, the shows were spaced out enough from each other for Michael to rest between each show, and get ready for the next one. The way some people talk you'd think he was performing on the 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th etc.

Also, with This Is It, Michael was performing in one place only. So he didn't have to worry about traveling with different time zones, and jet lag. Compared to his previous tours, This Is It was a walk in the park.

Once again you're ignoring everything else. A man who hadn't slept at all for like a month, was using a powerful drug to knock himself out. Was incredibly thin and clearly not capable physically of doing 50 shows. How does it matter how spaced out they were if he was just going to continue using propofol? His mental and physical condition would have just continued to deteriorate as time went on.

I believe all of this too. Anyone who is dependent on an ANESTHETIC for rest is only walking down a road of trouble. He would have caused himself serious harm one way or another had all the shows gone on.

Yes This is It was set up to give Michael the best leverage on health as possible under the circumstance (set location/spaced a couple-few days apart/no time change/no travel) BUT... He simply was not ok, he was not getting any natural sleep just in preparation for the show.. No REM sleep (or minimal), Now imagine after giving his all on stage with something to prove, critics watching, and in front of 16,000 people a night. The hype and stress of that is mentally draining!!! More so than behind the doors rehearsal..

On top of that he was not eating to the fullest extent that he should to help with the above issue.. Kai Chase is not a health specialist nor did she know what was going on upstairs.. Nutrition, sleep, rest, activity level, body type, and physical activity plays a big role in success in physically demanding situations.. The person feeding him should know 100% what is going on with sleep and physical demand... The person doing the diet should have all this info from simple stuff like activity to hormone stats, blood test info etc..

That was not done, and that (especially for a 50 yr old) is dangerous..

For me the Version from motown 25 is a milestone! Such a great performance. I think when he do it live sometimes he miss some letters.
I know it's Billie jean in the thread, but when i see the great performance of jam in Bucharest, it's for me not important live or not.

I prefer the faster paced rhythm that the live band brings, however, the instruments rarely sound as crisp as the recordings. I think perfection was achieved in the studio in that regard (like most performances in general).

Vocally, 'Billie jean' had the misfortune of being placed towards the end of the shows. Michael had already been dancing for over an hour at this point, so he was understandably out of breath. on top of that, he was for the most part a 'high' singer. I find that he sounded better on the bridges and choruses than the lower register verses. even then, there times where he would mumble/grunt, and leave the chorus the the back up singers - even the trademark 'hee!' before the moonwalk!

I think he did the best job on the 'victory'/'bad' tours, but I'm going with lipsync.

Sorry guys, but nobody who's being honest prefers anything being lip synced. It's about time we stopped making excuses for this. If you've paid $500 for one ticket, damn right you should expect every song to be live.
