Songs from special edition releases, album anniversary releases (T25) and boxsets are considered "released", thus are not unreleased songs.

I would call songs like "Xscape", "Love Never Felt So Good", "State Of Shock"- with Freddie Mercury songs that are unreleased

Yes,I saw.I just asked about Men in black,because it's the one I am most curious to listen to,given all the discussions about it.It shocked me the most! :lol:
 
Obvious confusion over whether we're talking about songs not released as singles or songs not released period.

I'm gonna say, songs not released on a studio album (Off The Wall thru Invincible, INcluding BOTDF, EXcluding compilations and special editions), in no particular order:

these lists will hopefully change alot over the years, as these are strong songs, but i can see why most were initially unreleased, im all for the theory MJ was holding back some seriously killer tracks, for after he was gone.

I'm quite skeptical about that (but who knows, it could be true ?). I'm surprised Goin To Rio, Lowa and Chicago 1945 etc aren't on that list. Because those are unreleaed songs like Men In Black appear to be locked safely in Michael's unreleaed volt, and don't appear to been leaked to fans.

Men In Black is said to sound like cross between The Man (Michael's duet with Paul McCartney), and another Michael Jackson song (I can't remember what song) according to Adrian Grant who heard it when he visited Neverland and met Michael for the first time in 1990.

It is thread about actual unreleased songs or song that weren't released as singles. Because some songs on peoples lists are not unreleased songs has many songs listed have been released on studio albums or the Ultimate Collection box set. Also songs like Morphine and Supafly Sister are known to be Dangerous album outtakes, but the weren't even released as previously unreleased songs but as "new songs" in 1997.

The short snippet released of Groove Of Midnight sounds like a full version could have been awesome. I guess for the time being, Siedah Garrett's version will do.
