I've been listening the CD today and I would like to be the first to say that P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) 2008 with will.i.am can win a Grammy for best collaboration in Pop/R&B or whatever the category is called.

My reasons: The beat and the tempo of the song, plus the lyrics are sensual, popping and rocking. Michael sounds sexy and angelic at the same time. will.i.am's part is complimentary and fits well with the new sound.

I can see Michael dancing from side to side to the beat in his "famed-finger-popping-smooth-moves."

Also, I immediately find myself wanting to dance when I hear that contagious beat: (da-da)...(da-da-da)...(da-da).

The next one I'm feeling is "THE GIRL IS MINE 2008 with will.i.am.

Question: Are there 2 versions of the songs remixes?

I read it on Amazon.com. At least the "with will.i.am" is written differently...It is also written as "featuring will.i.am".

The Akon, Fergie and Kanye West additions (to me) lack something. Could be the music, the arrangement or all of them (the singers).^_^ If I'm being brutally honest for what I know about music (okay, not a lot:p) these 3 additional remixed songs would not have made Thriller (original) the best selling album ever. But...it can't hurt nothing. My Luva's still the coolest. Ahh...did that make up for my ill will statements about the 3 songs?:lol:

I love "FOR ALL TIME". I've loved it since I heard it once on MJJFRadio. I always wanted to hear it again. Funny how it got on the album.:)

Of course, all of the original songs are still BOSS and ROCKING. Needless to say...I love the new release of Thriller 25. Michael sounds great!:D

Moderators - I probably should have posted this in Thriller 25.

When I read the description for Music and The Madness, it initially made me think that this was the right place to post, but now I have second thoughts.

I'll leave it up to you guys. :)
 
interesting ... I prefer "The Girl Is Mine 2008" much more. that song should be the one to reach a grammy.

I agree! Beat it 2008 is awesome! I think it's the best remix of Triller 25th!
For all time is beautiful too! Michael uses his soft voice on this song! I love it!
 
WOW- I one hundred percent love the regular versions of all MJ's songs better than any remix could EVER be!!! (the orig. pyt demo is my fave song ever :yes: )

BUT- i really like these remixes!!!!! I didnt think i would, but i stand corrected! I shoulda known not to question mj's musical abilities!!!!

I really love pyt and tgim, and kanye did a gooooood job on billie jean! The only one i havent listened to yet is the fergie remix of beat it.

YAY THRILLER 25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh wow you are of my own heart:wub: I LOVE PYT remix...I have had that track on repeat all damn day!! NO JOKE...I think I may have a problem because I seriously cannot get enough of that song. It is sooo sexy and Yes! I can imagine Michael dancing so sensually to the groove:wub:

Yeah, it's so cool. When I hear his finger-popping I'm thinking...Wow, I can see him dancing.

I thought I might burn out my CD player the other day.:p I played it over and over again. I have these cordless headphones that I can go up to 900mhz of distance and I was in every room listening to that infectious beat and those sexy vocals. I was downstairs and upstairs dancing.

I know what you're saying about having a problem. It sounds so juicy.:lol: I have to make myself turn it off. And today, I got stuck on "For All Time". I gave P.Y.T. '08 a break. But #12 on that CD is "HOT" and it makes me want to dance.:D

Either PYT 08 or TGIM08 should win a grammy :D They are my fave remixes of Thriller 25, probably coz I also love Will.I.am :D
Beat it 08 and WBSS 08 are cool too, but I still don't like Billie Jean 08. I think Kanye West shouldn't have slowed down the beat of the original song. I mean the original is kinda fast and the remix pretty slow, that doesn't make sense for me :eek: But the other way round it works well for me (ex. TGIM 08)

I agree with every word in your post.


Beat it 2008 was not the best, they screwed up the hallmark of the song which is the beat!! Also fergie's vocal ability's aren't enough to sing that type of song. There's no intensity or anger in her voice and it makes the song weak. Mike saved it with his verse, but it wasn't that great.

PYT 08 is th ebest remixed song of T25th!!

Will did an incredible job with this song, based on a demo!!

I totally agree with you for the grammy... but don't forget MJJ has a new album out in a few weeks, so if MJJ and Will win a grammy, it will probably be for a song on the new album!!
 
I like The Girl Is Mine & PYT remixes the best.
I crack up everytime I hear Will.I.Am's rap in PYT tho
If I didn't understand what he's sayin I'd like it even more :lol:

I love both PYT and TGIM equally now. William did a good job. In PYT i love the 'na na na na ...na na" melody thats repeated through out the song in the instrumentation. So cool.
 
PYT is one of my fav remixes of T25 and around 2002 it was my most played song of Thriller!
