Most of the people who have ever said negative things about MJ and have hurt him were saying positive things about him earlier on. They only turn against him after the friendship cease. Go back and check MJ's history with his ex friends and stop turning this into a battle between you and me. It is uncalled for and rather childish. Deal with the subject matter and not me.

I don't need to check anything, I know his painful history too well. I said some people become paranoid regarding all the people in his life, and that is a fact, too. My concern is that this man's first article suggested that he has met MJ a couple of times and assisted with bodyguards duties. I have watched the story changed to him being a full blown bodyguard, to now MJ's friend. All of this within a year that MJ hasn't even set foot on British soil. I have watched his story plastered all over British newspapers and I have watched him slowly but surely becoming the all things reference for MJ.much like Uri used to be. Uri geller rode MJ's friendship to glory, and when the friendship ended, he was not very nice to MJ. I do not want to see MJ hurt again.

Im not talking as though he is famous. Im talking as though he's already made his money. Most people talk crap about MJ for financial gain... as we all know.
Just because the sun approached him and asked him to talk about MJ .. or asked him questions about MJ doesnt mean he's on the scrounge. If the sun wanna ask him questions about MJ and in turn it gets his business advertised, then good look to him. Its about time someone exploited the media for a change.
he's never made any dodgy statements, questionable comments or anything of that nature towards MJ.

That doesn't mean everyone else speaking nicely of Michael is a foe either. Have some faith, please. Michael cannot interogate and question every single person of his life. And we need to stop treating Michael like a helpless baby or a fool that cannot reason. He has a brain, he can think, too, he is 50 years old, he doesn't need people in his life baby-sitting his every step.

ppl still use mj it doesnt have to be only for money. he obviously want to make his business bigger and is imo riding on mj coat tails to do that. as a fan regardless of him saying nice things about mj i find it distasteful. yeah at least hes saying nice things ala the sun article but its still the same ole that fans who have been around for more than 2 mins get to see all the time. real friends dont go running to the papers to tell everyone that mj is my friend and claiming to be his personal whatever.ive guarded bruce springsteen in his dressing room at a concert guess that makes me his personal bodyguard now lol

I think fans are justified in asking what is going on here. We did this when Uri geller did the same and he was already famous.

CURRY, Bruce Lee movies and shopping - it isn't hard to amuse Michael Jackson according to his UK bodyguard.
Having minded the megastar on several occasions, Matt Fiddes insists the King of Pop doesn't live in Neverland - and is proud to count him as a personal friend.
When Matt's mum was battling breast cancer, the former Jackson Five frontman even called her regularly to cheer her up.
And despite the child abuse allegations which have dogged the singer for years, dad-of-five Matt had no qualms about his kids meeting the troubled megastar.
Matt, 28, says: "Michael must be the most misunderstood man in the world.
"He is such a nice guy behind closed doors.
"Once you get to know him, you see that - but for most people his huge international profile tends to get in the way.
"Michael definitely wants to keep the mystery going.
"It's like a game to him.
"He knows he can go out and be photographed and the photos will be used worldwide.
"During a visit to London in 2002, Michael took my stepsons, Archie and Charlie, on a shopping trip to Hamleys toy store.
"He's a great guy and I didn't have any problem with it.
"It sounds like a dream come true to most kids, but the boys were too shy to choose anything expensive.
"They came home with just a few bits and pieces."
As a schoolboy in Swindon, Matt was mercilessly bullied, and turned to martial arts to protect himself.
But now he's a strapping 6'3" and heads a network of martial arts schools throughout the UK and Europe, as well as bodyguarding the rich and famous part-time.
Matt says: "When you're a shy, skinny little boy and the other lads decide to pick on you, there's not a lot you can do.
"I wanted to beat the bullies and decided to take up Tae Kwon Do.
"It quickly gave me back my confidence, and within three or four years I'd progressed to black belt standard.”
Matt wasn’t the academic type, and left school at 16 with no official qualifications.
But thanks to lots of grit and determination he opened his first school in Barnstaple in January 1998, and had signed 500 members within six months.
As Matt's venture took off, so did his profile.
He was approached to take part in a fitness video alongside mystical performer Uri Geller - the man who would introduce him to Michael Jackson.
Matt says: "One night Uri called me at 2am and said 'You have to come to my house now, or you'll regret it for the rest of your life.'
"I made the three hour trip from Devon to Sonning-on-Thames, Berkshire.
"I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked into Uri's living room and Michael Jackson was sitting there on the sofa.
"Michael mentioned he was looking for a bodyguard in the UK and asked me to keep in touch.
"From then on I was his bodyguard on trips to the UK."
Amazingly, Matt was present at the Renaissance Hotel in London in 2002 when Martin Bashir pitched Jackson the idea for his famous documentary.
When Living With Michael Jackson aired the following year it caused a storm on both sides of the Atlantic for shocking insinuations about the star's private life, and subsequently for the show's allegedly biased editing.
Matt says: "Martin told Michael it would be the best thing he could do for his career.
"It was supposed to be about the music and Mike's children were to be kept out of the final cut.
"Of course it was nothing of the sort and my jaw dropped when I watched the show at Uri's house.”
During filming for Martin Bashir's documentary, Matt got to experience life with the showbiz legend.
And he ended up acting as a Michael decoy so the squeaky-voiced singer could avoid the press.
Matt says: "Michael would come up with elaborate plans to escape the crowds.
"He asked me to dress up like him to distract the fans and he would sneak out the back door.
"He produced white socks, a military-style jacket and sunglasses for me to put on.
"The US security team of four bodyguards came with me through the front of the hotel.
"People were grabbing my hands and talking to me as if I was their hero.
"Meanwhile Michael snuck out the back with one bodyguard and had about 20 minutes of hassle-free browsing before he was recognised.
"Another time, Michael and I ordered a takeaway curry and escaped to Uri's house in Berkshire.
"I had to pinch myself when I was sitting on the floor with the King of Pop eating a curry and watching Bruce Lee movies."
Despite the excitement of looking after a global megastar, Matt's memory of the time is tinged with sadness.
During the same period his mum, Majella Norris, was diagnosed with breast cancer and given just six months to live.
But when Matt confided in Michael, the star didn't waste any time giving his stricken mum a call.
Matt says: "That really touched me."
"Michael's a very sensitive human being and he'd ring my mum every day to see how she was coping.
“He makes a big impression on everyone, and she really appreciated his best wishes.
"Thankfully Mum pulled through and is loving her retirement."
Michael is currently based in Las Vegas, but Matt is kept busy with other celebrity clients including Jackson's brother Jermaine and the model Danielle Lloyd.
Meanwhile his martial arts training business continues to grow.
Matt says: "It's amazing to think that ten years ago I was penniless and opened the account for Matt Fiddes Martial Arts School with just £100.
"A few weeks ago the empire was valued at £30m.
"Here I am at 28 with a great business and Michael Jackson as a client and personal friend."

yes I live in the UK. Firstly... as I've stated MANY TIMES, (you must not be paying attention), JUST because somebody's name is mentioned in an article, newspaper or magazine DOES NOT mean this person has actively asked for that information to be released into the media. The link between matt and MJ has been picked up by the media, and they have run with it... like ALWAYS.
If matt really wanted to, im sure he could get a full page spread in a magazine talking about his relationship with the jacksons (including MJ)
Uri was completely different. Uri was a leech... he had his face on EVERY news report, every article... every talk show... EVERYTHING. Even when he and MJ were actively friends... so... that kinda suggests MJ doesnt have a huge issue with people defending him or answering questions in the media, doesnt it?

Matt had Tito in Devon visiting schools to talk to kids. There was an article about this bodyguard who is MJ's frind. Then Jermaine visited, there was another article. Then ethere was an article that |MJ was going to be the next one to come. That never happened.
There was an article in the sun, then the Metro. There was a recent one that Tito was looking for 2 houses for the whole family. Tito stayed at matts house. Now this article. That is a lot of getting your name in the papers all in one year.

AGAIN, 90% of the articles you mention are reports done by newspapers and magazines MENTIONING matt. It doesnt mean he has a say in it... IT MEANS the newspapers are reporting NEWS.

well not surprisingly i dont collect matts articles. i posted the sun cause its the only one still on the boards (kop board.) there were many article from last year as datsmay said about matt claiming mj would be attending events in the devon area witt the rest of the family.i guess u havnt been around for long if u dont remember them being posted.

I do not think any friend of Mj will be hugging the media so much to talk about him. It nearly always end in disaster. I don't like it. I doubt MJ gave permission for Matt to be talking about him in tabloid papers. I believe that if MJ finds out he will not be very pleased about this.

Right, if someone you WEREN'T friends with asked you to fly to another country and give a talk at a little school about bullying would you do it? Highly unlikely, there has to a friendship there for Tito to do this, he was photographed at LAX on the Monday, in Devon by Wednesday, out and about on Friday and Saturday and then gone back to LA on Sunday. His trip to the UK was purely to see and help Matt, because they are friends. I have seen them talk, and you can tell by their gestures etc they are friends.

I think the media latched onto the fact that he has had jermaine and tito over here recently. This is where the info comes from. If the jackson brothers are involved in something, the media asks about Michael, FACT. There was a MySpace news broadcast where they said because tito had been to Barnstaple, Michael was thinking of moving there too. This is how the media uses pieces of information.
And yes, I think the sun contacted Matt. Thats what they do. They source and report news! Clever gadgets these newspapers!
