Michael Jackson Worldwide Chart Performance Thread

Ouch! The sudden drop in the UK over the last few weeks is a shame.

The only reason why Thriller 25 had a big drop this week is because there were 18 new releases this week in the Top 40, if it wasn't for that Thriller 25 probably still would have been in the Top 40. There has been little change in actual sales of Thriller 25 since last week, the only reason it dropped in the chart is because of the huge number of releases that came out this week.

In its 14th week in Italy, Thriller 25 rises 13 places to No.69.

although we have been trained to live in the moment...charting is about how long something can marathon over time. so, in reality there is no bad news about t25, as long as it remains on the chart..no matter how much it drops. on average, around the world, it remains a top forty album for going on almost half a year.

Thriller 25th Anniversary Edition drops 12 places to #80 on the Official Swiss Album Charts this week :)

No it's reality no new album waning interest, Michael needs to get up off his bum and make a new album.

Couldn't agree more.
People said that mike was back in the studio, hungry to release good music and prove he's not finished, yet here we are in 2008 - years after his acquittal - and still no new music. I'm sure there are acts that must have release 2 albums since then.
If he wasn't going to release a new album then he should have atleats spent some time helping to promote T25. It wouldn't take much time out of his schedule to appear on a show or do an interview or two.

People like his sister and Madonna have kept releasing albums, i think Mike should just announce his retirement and enjoy life instead of leading us on.

Have you ever thought that maybe he just doesn't want to. He probably want some peace and quiet in his life for a change? He is not a machine he is human and he has had some trying times, he is probably trying to pick up the pieces of his life and appearing on a tv show is not a part of it. Maybe when he gets cut he bleeds like the rest of us.

He is not leading anybody on and he is not going to retire either. He will take his time and do what he wants when he is ready to do it,he will not be rushed.

Michael Jackson's Thriller 25 returns to #1 on the Catalog Album chart for a 10th week, with sales of 13,000. It would have ranked #41 on the big chart if older, catalog albums were eligible to appear there. This brings sales of the album to 556,000, which makes it the #10 album for the year-to-date. "Thriller" and "Billie Jean" are both listed on this week's Hot Digital Songs chart.

This is excellent news, second biggest selling release of the year so far, not bad for a 25 year old album, not bad at all :).

As much as I love Mariah, her latest album was filler. That is why it is falling in the charts and she hasn't even broken 1 million yet.

Dude, stop spamming with that site or I'll have your ass banned.

Thanks.
