Estelle Getty a.k.a Sophia on THE GOLDEN GIRLS has passed away.
She suffered from advanced stages of Dementia.
Her quick wit always made me laugh.
Betty White said it best, " Estelle has gone on but Sophia will live forever.

May she rest in peace.

Death is as sad as it is real.
It's hard to lose someone we care about.
Even if it is a celebrity, it can be very hard to accept.
No need to hate 2008 or anything else. Death is a part of life.
And then, the hurt and loss we feel is devastating.
However, I do understand how you feel Tempany.

im just trying to get over heath ledger dying at the age of 28 such a tragic loss
with being a fan it made it more difficult

I loved the Golden Girls :wub:

Estelle has has dementia for a long time poor thing, this is a blessing for her I think. I know a few years ago they had a Golden Girls reunion night and she couldn't attend due to herdementia, Betty White said that she didn't recognise anyone :( and that was a few years ago...


She makes me smile
