Merged - AEG Live: Potential Three-year World Tour and Release of New Album

oh agb babe the manors are behind the actual casino! lol across the street the back way! lol by the astrodome. so u can go there for like $40 a night and not even have to see a friggen clown, cuz omg i hate them.

matter of fact, when i went to mgm the first time we had the room w/ wiz of oz decorations and the scarecrow looked too much like a clown so we were moved. but circ. is the cheapest.

luxor now has the bodies exhibit. and i liked theluxor for ONE Minute that long ass 'tour' was like homework all to get to the damn giftshop lawd....criss angel lives there, to add an element of weird.

but mgm is good if u get in before the dates cuz when things are going onlike a concert, the reg rooms go up to $200+ the close the shows get. so book early

damn i miss vegas

I miss vegas too!! yeah Circus circus is the cheapest.. I like Ceasars Palace a lot, but its looks expensive. I wnt to stay at MGM and the luxor.... But if this happens im def. gonna get me a hotel asap..lol , hopefully it happens though.

Well it's all debatable but why would he say final concert in London when he didn't have any concerts there recently anyway? It's not like he did some and then said 'OK, this is it, no more in London.'
But at the same time, why would he be so excited and chanting this is it? Seriously when they were doing the teaser and when he first came out I was thinking "this is it, he's back, it's ON" and then he starts with the final curtain thing...:swoon: Dunno...
I kinda hope he does concerts in the States cause it would make things so much easier... But then again...I can't risk it.

I saw amateur footage of the press conference, and Michael started chanting This is it because the crowd did. They were chanting together, but the footage seen on TV didn`t catch this.

omg its sad to think the executives thought they could not start with America for media reasons. or do they actually think he lost his fans here:doh: like ''does he even have fans anymore'' the media loves that lie.
his home country should not be treated that way.. as if we have no faith in him. all that does is stereotype us as fans badly and also to other fans around the world of whom some are saying on this world wide web we dont deserve him in some manner as americans anymore.
other medias around the world talk bad as well.. atleast make us all equal is what i say. the media is not america. the media is one point of view brainwashing peoples heads on tons of subjects. and even if they start overseas the media will still talk bad anyway no matter what. so..

hope he comes here.
i could see him doing the coliseum..alot of big celebs have done that. cher, tina turner, ..celin dion is a great example with her stint there..

i still wonder which one city he will pick. or how many cities? :bugeyed i guess we have to wait and see but for a long while yet. omg :wild:

Let's keep our fingers crossed, U.S. MJ Fans! Maybe MJ will come and spend some time with us after he's done with his London gigs.

I'm sure he knows we miss him too. He most likely found out back in 2001 at the Madison Square Garden and also when he was in Time Square when he did the autograph signing at the Virgin Records Mega Store. That crowd was so huge that it locked up Time Square. There was a huge crowd in Vegas when he got the key to the city and we also know people came out in large numbers when he went home to Gary, Indiana.

Mike is taking the world by storm right now. If he comes over this way, the same thing that is happening in London is going to happen here too. The media doesn't speak for us U.S. MJ fans. We speak for ourselves.

oh u guys, the execs were right. look how they were slagging off on him! now they have nothing to say but the truth and try to spin that but it doesn't negate the fact that he's back and in a b ig way.

he never could've started the momentum from here and we know it. so this was the way to test the waters, the waters have been rocked, now no one can deny the fact he can bring in a crowd and that he's a money maker.

I agree completely, to not perform in america because some media outlets bash him is no reason to negate the fans who love him. Every media outlet from each and every country has bashed Michael in the past. The fact of the matter is that he has more fans in the U.S. than any other single country in the world. We all love Michael, so do not give us that just because the media is harsh here, is a reason why Michael should not perform here. I know the fans in London would not appreciate that if the tables were turned

I just hope that Michael gives the US a shot, no only for the fans sake, but for his own sake. I want him to know that peeps in the US still love him. I want the US media to eat crow. A successful tour in the US would do wonders for Michael's psyche.

Mike is the man and has always been the man. All he had to do was make that announcement and his fans that span the globe would come swoopin' in! We never left. None of us did. We were just waiting for him to say when.

Mike's got it like that!

The media crack me up when they try to act like they don't know. They try to act like they have selective memory. Like when they're trying to use him to increase their ratings they remember all about it.

July will be here soon and when Mike takes the mic, the rest will be history. :D

yes. and that includes america. the irony is..it seems Mike doesn't know that.

u guys. u really think it would've popped off like this in america? the press conf and all? sorry but i don't think it would've been teh same. the pc set the tone of what was to come. he had to do it over there. it just makes sense. our media is so biased that it took this to show them it could be done and now they're silenced!

remember all the neg articles about mj when he was living in lv? how he couldn't do it etc..no one wanted him. this proved them wrong. now he can go back and arrange his own deal on his terms cuz he has the clout

Anit that the truth!

I am just ecstatic about the 50 gig sellout. I AM SO HAPPY FOR MICHAEL!

I am also happy for those fans who have stood by him when it was not popular. I believe he will come here to the US too. I get upset when I hear fans from other countries slagging off the US fans or US public about 'how we treat MIchael' and 'don't deserve to have him'. I don't get upset with him playing where he has to for his best chance to get the momentum rolling. It was very important that this take off at the start. It was going to be one extreme or the other and it turned out right... more right than I think anyone could guess. Given the reception he got he now can go on to the next steps. I am greatful to the British fans (80% of the tickets were to Brits) who helped this happen. I am thankful the people at AEG who took the chance. Every so often in the midst of all of the unfairness in the world something goes right. I think this is one of theose times.

Ever since I saw his smile in GB when he went to London the first time and read that he was using the exercise equipment in the hotel I have been saying he was going to tour. I did not have any inside info. It was just obvious to me. I also remember getting slammed on MJJF way back when I said it was important that he fight back. He had to. That with his personality if he didn't it would mean they broke him. The smile I saw in London the first time said he was going to overcome. I am sure he will always be scarred but he BEAT THEM.

Think of all the people he has worked with lately that have said something to the effect of it would either be a big success or a phenominal failure. Will.i.am at the music studio in Great Britain saying it would have to be "BIG". Neyo referring to how much hinged on the new music said it would be either a hugh comeback or a major crash. Akon also spoke of it.

All the friggin' followers that there are in this world will now decide that they must see Michael Jackson. He MUST be great. It MUST be the right thing to do. And next thing you know it is true. Well we knew it was true already and others did in their heart but now it is okay to say it once again.

I AM JUST SO FRIGGIN' HAPPY!

CLOUT! That's a good word, Soso. Cause I was just sitting here imagining the reaction of peeps like Steve Winn, Barrack and others who were clammering to get Michael on the stage in Vegas. And how some were saying they had doubts about how successful a draw he would be. Now if this London thing doesn't show them whose still the boss, then I don't know what will.

And keep in mind, he is doing all of this in the midst of a worldwide recession!

But I think this is the best timing for Michael to come out...why? Because when people are down and struggling and times are hard, they tend to reminist on the past and how good things used to be. Michael represents the past and all that was good. He is a part of the fabric of society. And he has this amazing ability to bring joy to people. And that is one of the reasons why I think that Michael is gonna suprise a lot of people if he does come to the US. I believe the peeps in the media will be dropping their jaws at the numbers that Michael is gonna pull in the states.

i mean i remember the articles in the reveiw journal saying people wanted himi but were afraid to insure him cuz if he was accused of anything, the casino would have to pay. it was ridiculous crap that was said just to reference the damn allegations.

now silence and envy

This couldve never started in America. These promoters and mike are very savvy. This has setup bigs things for him now. In my mind Europe Asia first up was always going to be the best strategy. Nothing to do with USA fans at all it's just the same people gunning for him for the 15 years are basically still around. He can silence those mofos as soon as he sells out 50 shows in london...oh.. That's right he has. :D patience is needed USA fans, miccuh is coming!

Michael's fans are always trying to show him how much they appreciate him. Everywhere he goes, including in the U.S., the crowds gather.

The longer he stays in one spot, the larger the crowds become. When he does certain things, the crowds gather faster. If he's constantly moving around without being on stage, the crowds move around with him but in smaller groups, depending upon how long he stays in one spot.

His fan base is around him at all times everywhere he goes and because of this, love for him is displayed everywhere he goes...at home and abroad. He is the world's most beloved recording artist.

He only had to say that magic word which is "concerts" and everyone would know he's giving them a legitimate reason to come and hang out with him. He just didn't say it here. He said it somewhere else.

But it doesn't matter. He said it and it has reached the shores of the U.S. Now, the U.S. is starting to ask him if he will perform at home too. The closer we get to July, the more people are going to want to know if he will and it's not just going to be those of us that never stopped believing in him...which is a very huge number...but it is also going to be those that have never experienced MJ in concert. It's going to be the ones that have always heard about him and watched his videos, but have never had to chance to see him live. There are a lot of newbies.

If someone could make a way for MJ to see what happens in the clubs whenever his music is played he would go "WOW!" His songs are holding their own. His songs are still getting people onto the dance floors.

:D

This is a really happy time for MJ and his fans. Isn't this fun, guys?!! Mike is gearing up!! We've been trying to imagine what it was going to be like when he says he's ready to get it going again, and now the time is here!

This Is It, peeps!! Mike is about to lower the smack down!!

I love that post. It mirrors the crescendo that is building now around Michael. I believed I would see Michael on stage again. I did not believe I would see the full impact of his presence like it occured in the 80's but now I do believe I will.

I love your posts. You were the one that explained the full impact and importance of MIchael's first moonwalk. I kinda wish I was still tutoring at the middle school I was at last year. Even then there was a Michael Jackson move dance off between 2 students in the hall one day. When it happened I remembered what you told me and was grrateful for the richness of what you said.

I agree. Strategically its the best move. Geographically London is well placed and within easy reach of the European fan base so selling out shows and creating the hype that we have just witnessed couldnt have been better planned. I couldnt be happier for MJ right now, his name and performance reputation has everyone clambering for a piece of the action. Happy days are here again! :)

Katie it's all good here. Think the USA fans have it back try being in new zealand lol. Just a 24 hour flight and $2500 haha. I'll be waiting for Sydney to get it's turn

oh lawd....and damn, i was looking at the aussie conversion rate, not good at all! so a lot of people just don't realize how good they got it.

he'll come to us. just wait.

For us aussies its a 42 hour trip and flights cost between $2,000 to $3,000 alone!

i know. so we don't have it as damn bad! Lol i believe he'll hit u guys too. it'd be a shame not to hit oz.

I just finished my trip resevations and it will be about $750 for me from the midwest. That is everything: airfare, concert ticket, hostel, and meals if I do those on the low. I will be there three days and intend to see some of London while I am there since the only times I have been there before is to connect flights in Heathrow. I think it will be an awesome vacation.
