North England tribute?

oh good! leeds is a great shopping place, something like the 3rd best place in England to shop i've heard
1. London
2. Manchester
3. Leeds

i think. anyway that's not important.. paying our tributes to michael is :pray:
 
Hey Guys,

we still need to have lots more people than us few , and where are we going to lay flowers etc etc? we need backing of radio station, need to tell media etc etc, it might even be an idea to have the vigil in Liverpool, when i met Michael he said he was always going to come back to Liverpool and that he loved it when he was here for Bad Tour. Did you also know he was supposed to come here for the Dangerous Tour again, but because it was cut short because of all the rubbish, it was cancelled, its even on back of my Dangerous Tour TEE!

But you are right in what you are saying that we need more people, once we have decided a date and place it will be easier to spread the word.
I am guessing tomorrow is going to be too short notice then? It just I am very busy this week due to my brother getting married but really don't want to miss out on this. Tell me what you think - I am not very sure about organising something like this, you seem to have much more knowledge than me.

If what they are saying about having public memorials around the world on the day of his funeral is true then maybe we could plan something to coincide with that? I really dont know. Help..?

to make this just a little fan meet up we need to make ppl aware, as you said it could be that we wait to hear what the family have got planned or even MJJC but tomorrow would defo be be out for me anyway , only time i get is weekend, i work all week! it a shame i really wana pay my respects, but cant go to london

I'm from Leeds so Roundhay Park would be a great place.

I went to a fan gathering in 1989 in Leeds on Mike's birthday to celebrate the 1988 show....we had such a great time.

Why don't you set up a Facebook group for a Northern venue?

Ok. Not entierly sure how we would organise a fan gathering though, or when it could be.
 
Im from Sheffield and me and my daughter would love to attend a gathering of Michaels fans in the north to pay tribute as going to london is not possible for me at the moment x
 
I live in Gateshead/Newcastle

Tomorrow I will be laying flowers on the millennium bridge, with a picture of him.
I also have a small banner and if I hang it over the side it can be seen on webcam for everyone to see.

the banner says MJJ - thank you for the music

I'm in the North East, and I know how you feel, I feel the same way. I feel depressed I cant show my respects for Michael :( Manchester or Leeds would be great for me to attend

The dance will take place in Newcastle in the following months.

We already have a date and location but this is TOP SECRET for now as we want to make this a SUPRISE.

Are there any planned events in Manchester?. I was gonna have a birthday bash at my house (i live in Manchester) to celebrate MJ's birthday. Would anyone be interested?.
 
I'm in Manchester and looking to do something for his birthday. I'll pop round to a KFC and buy a bucket of chicken in the time being and keep a lookout on my iphone for any updates.
