That's true, it's quite a sizeable book and I read somewhere that it would weigh 12 kilos! That's a lot of weight for a book. My mom once ordered some historical commemorative book, which was almost twice that price. Still it's a bit too expensive, especially for my current budget, and I think there'll be customs fees too. I was quite intriqued by the interactive techie thing included in the book. I don't even think I'd have a good enough place to put the book in and I probably wouldn't dare to touch it for fear of spoiling it. But it's a fantastic book and all you who've ordered it are without a doubt in for a treat! :reading:

Edit: How funny! I just noticed pamiie's post both above and quoted below me mentioning the weight of the book. I completely didn't see that! I think I must have seen it on the website selling it plus somewhere else too. You can tell my mood is tired as I'm mixing things up! Haha!

Well if you order it from ticketmaster.co.uk there will be no custom fees.

I so want this book but it is really expensive, especially for a student.

why not get all your family members to put together money they would spend at christmas and then buy it.

Or you could buy it then charge people to look at it - create your own one item museum.....lol.

I was about to post a thread on this when i saw this one It is soo much money for a book! I mean, if we'd have got to see him in the flesh it was costing only £85 with extra costs. Crazy! I can't afford it, but maybe if i manage to get a job when i'm back at uni i'll order one once i get my first paycheck

Well if you order it from ticketmaster.co.uk there will be no custom fees.

We could assume that but, it depends on where the Opus is posted from. If it is sent from the US you may have to pay customs fees. If it is posted within the UK you won't.

I don't think TM have specified which country it will be sent from.

I'm sure at some point I'll get this. The photos look amazing.

Just hate the 'ticketmaster' pre-order idea. After all that's happened, I'll never pre-order anything on ticketmaster as long as I live!

May actually find that when the ebayers click about this that they batch buy up thinking they will make a killing. BUT the market might be sooooo flooded that they have to sell them at a cheaper price. I would think that this book is something that would appeal to the true fans, I know a lot of the people who suddenly turned Michael fans wouldnt buy it - it doesnt have the same ooompppff for them as getting tickets to the concert.

However at Christmas time people will be desperate to buy and Michael J fans this book so before Christmas it could be ridiculous but like with the wii consoles after Christmas you can get them cheaper.

to get an idea of the size of the pages get a A4 page. Then take the longest side and that is the width then the height is two A4 pages laid landscape above each other approximately.

yep but the differential in relation to the weight and price for example with Prince does mean that Michael Jacksons is great value.

When you go on the Ticketmaster page you input what country. I did UK but if you in US then it changes it to the US info prices etc.

$165 for book
and
$28 for shipping

I would imagine they would have had to state if any additional charges.

Looking at the other prices I would expect this one to be like £500 at least. Seems dubiously cheap but I'm not gonna question it lol.

BTW, Don't forget to pay in $ it is 10% cheaper than in € ... um wait, do you think that then would be sent from US? If so, I 'll have to pay all those taxes-20% vat + 5-10% other taxes :S
