Jackson's doc wants to rectify timeline error
February 18, 2010 2:07 AM

Dr. Conrad Murray has changed his story of events surrounding the death of Michael Jackson.

The physician -- who has pleaded not guilty to the involuntary manslaughter of the pop star -- has claimed he made "a mistake" during his first interview with the Los Angeles Police Department and admitted he was wrong about what happened following the death of the late singer.

His lawyer Michael Flanagan said: "Dr. Murray's timeline of events that day when Michael Jackson died is wrong. Doctors make mistakes, and that is what he did, and it was simply just that, a mistake."

In Murray's initial interview with police, he claimed he gave Jackson the powerful sedative Propofol at 10:50 a.m., left the house for a couple of minutes to visit the toilet and returned to find Jackson unconscious.

After trying to revive Jackson with CPR, Murray left it over an hour to call emergency services at 12:21 p.m. -- during which time he telephoned another patient of his, Bob Russell, to discuss the results of a heart scan.

However, according to Flanagan, Murray has admitted he made a mistake about the sequence of events, and is keen to rectify this before he is in court.

Murray's timeline of events is expected to be the basis of his upcoming court case, and these changes are significant.

Jackson died on June 25 from an acute Propofol intoxication.

Although the changes made to Murray's account of events have not been revealed, it is being speculated he will admit he didn't check on Jackson two minutes after giving him the medication as previously claimed.

Website Radar Online said: "If Murray did administer Propofol to Jackson at 10:50 a.m. as he initially told police, it would be natural for cops to assume he did not come back and check on Jackson until several minutes after midday, when he rushed off the phone to go to Jackson's aide. That would mean he most likely left Jackson alone for approximately 73 minutes -- not two minutes as he claimed -- after administering Propofol, which would be extremely damaging to his defence.

"Murray's calm phone call to a patient at 11:54 a.m. would fit a police theory that he did not check on Jackson after administering Propofol."

Oh yea, really??
The doctor makes mistakes! You're telling me,this doctor makes nothing but mistakes...
These people are shouting at everybody's face it is a well-executed conspiracy!!
They are literally confessing!!
Who is listening??

I'm listening. I heard the screams a long time ago since chernoff's first interview

initial accounts are often the most thruthful, everything that comes afterwards is a bunch of BS and this is Murray squirming trying to save his sorry ass and he and his bloody lawyers keep making it worse for Murray. Keep up the good work ( sarcasm)

Oh my, I messed up the time.....( Yeah right, and I believe you........NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Yeah, I'll bet he's keen to rectify it. Dumbass. He can change his story all he wants, but the phone records will still be the same.

hmm....Murray is just trying to save his own ass now....the truth is already out there and he and his lawyer know this...him trying to change the time line now at this point ...is just useless....I didn't believe him before and I certainly dont care what else he has to say now...unless he wants to man up and come clean and tell the whole truth...Murray will always be scum in my book....He took away a person from my life that represented more than just a popstar...there are no words that I can use that will ever be able to explain what Michael ment to me.....Sorry Murray try and change the timeline now.....You only make yourself look like more of ass in my eyes..

Yet another proof that Murray's defense team is all over the boards!
Fans have been repeatedly pointing out the inconsistencies in the timeline and the lies he's been feeding us..
So here he is now admitting that he "made a mistake"!

We should be really very careful when we post. In our search for truth we don't want to provide the defense with valid arguments.

:better: *hugs for you*:better:

Wow--this guy has gall, doesn't he. I mean, he took two days to come up with his crazy CYA story--and that one he worked on with his brilliant lawyer!!! Mistake?? It will be interesting to see the new smoke and mirrors explanation that he and his enablers come up with!! BTW, did anyone see a TOD on the autopsy?? I didn't see it anywhere, and isn't that just one of the biggest questions we have--when did Michael actually pass?

The defense team suggested this "correction" before the trial begins, knowing that the timeline inconsistencies could not possibly be reproduced in a court of law.
I don't know how much the "I made a mistake" argument stands in a homicide case.
I guess it depends on which side is more influential to the judge.

So he realizes his timeline is wrong eight months later, and when that voicemail of him is made widely public.

If that voicemail wasn't made widely public, I wonder if he would have 'realized' his 'mistake'.
