Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

i agree except i can hear an impostor and mj in carry on
I agree 100%, I wrote this in my post too (look back at it, you will see :)) , it's a combination of Michael's vocals and an impostor's vocals. The reason why this happened IMO is because some of the fake songs were more finished (MJ laid more vocals down for those songs) than others, therefore some of the fake songs sound more like MJ than others. They worked with the vocals of MJ they had and filled the rest with an impostor's vocals. However completely unacceptable, nobody wants an MJ song which is 90% not him singing on it.

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

I've just checked, no matter how many times I click I can't get through to the page with the message board, I just get a page advertising the This Is It "soundtrack"

Me too. We've entered a Sony-deception-plot-thickens-shit-is-going-down time warp.

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

This was brought up by DeeEmAych yesterday (http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3055710&postcount=893) but I've come to similar conclusions separately. Not sure if it's come up today as 50 pages have sprouted up in the last couple of hours! See what you think...

According to JacksonVillage (via Maximum-Jackson), the credits for Breaking News are: Michael Jackson, Eddie Cascio, Frank Cascio, Bobby Ewing, Teddy Riley, John McClain.

But who is Bobby Ewing?

Showbiz411 and Roger Friedman report that Breaking News was written by Michael Jackson, Eddie Cascio and Bobby Ewing. They also mention Bobby Ewing and James Porte as one and the same, though I've only seen a small amount of info on a James Porte and I'm not necessarily convinced it's the same guy.

http://www.showbiz411.com/2010/11/08/michael-jackson-sings-about-himself-on-new-song-breaking-news

Friedman says in another article that the songs sung were originally Bobby Ewing's, written with Frank Cascio, but that they then recorded over vocals with Michael's. Perhaps they were always intended as demos for MJ.

http://www.mjfanclub.net/home/index...n-on-new-album&catid=85:latest-news&Itemid=82

"He wound up staying with the Cascios from August until November. And during that time, with nothing else to do, he listened to the couple's son, Eddie, record with a singer named Bobby Ewing. Eddie's brother, Frank, had helped write and produce the Ewing tracks. They asked: Why not erase the vocals and have Michael sing over them? Michael agreed. When it was done, Eddie Cascio put away the tapes. No one ever discussed it again."

I've found a Bobby Ewing found on Last.FM. His manager is none other than Frank Dileo - see management under 'more information' on the right hand column.

http://cluster.indie-music.com/Bobby_Ewing/

His only track of real note is Exotic Dancer, a promo-only track that is a take on Pussycat Dolls' Buttons, produced by Polow Da Don. Polow worked on the Dancing Machine mix on The Remix Suite last year.

Could it be that Bobby Ewing is one of the singers on Breaking News, Dileo giving his new act a leg-up by getting him involved in the project while MJ was still alive, and now he has been brought back in to finish what was started alongside him? It's not the first time that Dileo has been involved post-death; he was part of the team on This Is It too.

Strangely, his Last.FM biography was edited (to be cleared?) on Sunday night according to the list of activity on his Last.FM profile, hours before Breaking News was released. His MySpace account is also now defunct, though when that happened is uncertain.

Any thoughts?

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

I have a theory. They're about to re-launch the TII soundtrack with Jason Malachi singing all the songs. Oooo! I can't wait to hear his heartfelt reading of Planet Earth! :wild:

That´s what ahppens to me: when I click michaeljackson.com it redirects to http://breakingnews.michaeljackson.com/BR/ (I´m from Brazil). When I click "entrar em michaeljackson.com" (enter michaeljackson.com) it redirects to http://www.michaeljackson.com/home and "This is it" starts playing

Weird...:mello:

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

Am I the only one that can hear Michael in All I need? I can in parts anyways...

Re: Do You Think "Breaking News" + other Cascio songs will be left out of MICHAEL due to controversy

Isn't that illegal or something for Sony to claim that Breakin News is sung by Michael when it's not? I don't get.
No because it is technically sung by Michael, albeit about 5% of the track. They haven't made a specific claim about the vocals like saying it's 100% him. However, [if] they have used an impersonator, like Jason Malachi, they will have to credit him unless he asks not to be.

What a debacle.

I´m a little bit confused about this track, especially with the woman talking all the time...

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

ok, if you google search "michael jackson site" you can access the main page, and no nothings changed on the site I don't think except for them promoting a "Breaking News" teaser which isn't on there at the moment

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

Can anyone please PM me the newly leaked tracks? Thanks :)

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

Can someone please PM me with links to the new snippets, real and fake? thanks!

At the beginning it sounds like Michael but then with "We're almost there..." it's definitely not Michael, imo.

This is what I think too... The Michael Vocals are great.

i agree n i think ur theory is right...i can hear him clearer in carry on than in breaking news but then it keeps swapping back to the impostor x like u say even if theres 1% someone other than mj its a fake in my opinion - if someone is claiming or pretending to be our michael...all thats left to question now is was it the cascios or sony who hired the impostor????

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

I'm having no trouble bringing up the Breaking News page on michaeljackson.com. Wonder why other folks are? (Not that I want to hear it!) Just hoping for some fresh news or admission by Sony/Estate.

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

I thought Carry On sounded a bit like Michael...as did All I Need. It doesn't help hearing that stupid voice over though. If someone could cut that crap out, it'd be easier to judge the tracks.

Re: "Breaking News" All Discussion Here [Merged]

I have noticed that nobody is saying Breaking News is MJ anymore......

What happened to deano and chris_jones etc. who had been adamant it was him?

Guess they just decided to pop in give a few posts and now arent bothering anymore. Fantastic.

Quoted for emphasis. Everyone should read this.

I found out about this Bobby Ewing dude yesterday and heard the Exotic Dancer song. I just kept it in mind. I didn't know the connections ran this deep though. He definitely sounds similar to Michael.

Interesting

INCREDIBLE. A Frank DiLeo connection. WOW. Frank DiLeo had nothing to do with MJ in 2007, FYI.

Regarding the news from the past couple of days....

Isn't it strange how the news from the last few days has brought most of us nothing but anger, hurt, confusion, and sadness? Actually, I don't know if "most of us" are feeling like I am, but judging by the the comments that are being made in all the threads, specifically the ones related to the New Album and "Breaking News" & Katherine's interview with Oprah, it looks like most of us are not happy with what has happened this week.

I really thought that after the single was released and when Breaking News was put up, every one of us would be jumping with joy! Although the excitement was present during the 3 days following the announcement, it quickly subsided and turned into confusion, anger, agitation and everything that could possibly be the opposite of excitement. The legitimacy of Breaking News and the controversy surrounding this whole project have overshadowed all of the excitement and has changed it into something bitter & unexplainable (at least for me). We have been waiting SOOO long for this thing to come out, and when it finally does - something comes and ruins it. :(

And Katherine's interview with Oprah, I was hoping it'd clear some things up and show the great side of MJ to the world - that didn't happen either.

As fans, were we (or I) expecting too much from all of this news? :mello:

I think it's ironic that the days we thought would be amazingly awesome, turned out to be terribly, confusingly horrible and filled with shady contradictions. I feel like I'm a little lost in terms of being a fan, since everything is going so different from the way I thought it would. Including the actions of the Jackson family. I think I have finally given up on them. I mean, I love them and all, but I just don't know what to think anymore. At every chance possible, they hurt Michael more than they defend him (some of them, not all).

Lost (as a fan of Michael Jackson), confused, bitter, a bit angry, sad, disappointed, etc.

Am I the only one who is thinking & feeling this way?
