Official "Michael" Tracklist and First Single "Hold my Hand" Announcement

Why not? He's worked with a lot of different hip hop artists in the past and, in recent years, with a lot of "younger" artists like will.i.am, Akon, Kanye West, Fergie... Why not 50 Cent? Heck, he even worked with Shaquille O'Neal on HIStory.

Because 50 cent is too comercial!and he is not new and fresh right now! MJ worked with a lot but never would put them on the new album! specialy not the 1 after 9 years!
The rappers he used were usually popular at the time ,like notorius big and heavy d,but good, with flow...but never too famous!... he would never pick such a comercial rapper for album! Rather he would pick a totally unknown rapper (fatts or that guy on black or white and she drives me wild)

kayne, will i am fergie so on didnt rap! they just produed and sang!

I know michael ok the way he doin things..if MJ was alive that would never happen!
Im wondering why they didnt put Soulja Boy or Lady Gaga on the album! suckaz!oh yea..A duet with Justin Bieber would work to! lets make $$$ :)

On the real,if it has to be a famous 1,it should be ice cube or somebody, maybe even SNoop dogg, sicne they both work with mike before...but not 50 cent..come one..THAT IS LAME!
ITs the first album after 9 years afer his death...and the name of the album is MICHAEL! sorry but 50 cent just dont belong on there!!! + that track is suppose to be fake! so

Could'nt agree more......

Im gonna make my own "M.I.C.H.A.EL" album leaving out the CASCIO songs. Will replace B.N with Xscape & hoping that "Do you knw wer ur children are" will be leaked some how so that I cud use that to replace Monster.

Sounds like a great idea :D Seems like it's the only way to make "MICHAEL" authentic...

I was a little surprised to see "The way you love me" on there (Maybe it's a different version?)
I love the song don't get me wrong I just didn't think they would put that song on the new album I guess. Still is a great song to me,just kind of sad that people can already hear it if they look for it so it won't be a surprise.

Also seeing 50 cent is surprising. I do remember that there were talks going around of them maybe doing a song together. No idea what that will sound like, I guess we will have to wait and see.

Overall I'm excited to hear these songs at this point. I can't wait to hear Hold my hand again, I think it could do very well on the radio. Really want to hear Another day and Much to soon in full as well. The tracklist has made me curious about what all the songs will sound like. Can't wait to hear all of it . :)

Edit: Man, I hope this thread isn't going to be full of fans snapping at other fans again.
I can feel the atmosphere of the "a real fan wouldn't do this or that" coming in soon. :(
Everyone can have their opinion but don't bring others down who don't share your opinion.
It doesn't have to be so hard.

I really don't understand why people are complaining about the amount of tracks on the album now... You guys do realize that 'Off The Wall' and 'Bad' had 10 and 11 tracks, respectively? (and the LP version of 'Bad' had only 10, actually, as 'Leave Me Alone' was featured only on the CD version) And that the best selling album of all time has only 9 tracks?

Also, the Estate/Sony made a deal for, what was it again? 7 album in 10 years? Of course they're not gonna put 16 tracks on an album! And thank God for that! 'Invincible' could've done with a few more cuts if you ask me... 10-12 tracks is a great amount for any album. It allows each song to stand out and at the same time allows the producers to maintain the general feel/theme of the album.

At least 50 cent is on "Monster", so he won't ruin a good song.

I don't have a problem with it being only ten tracks. Thriller only had 9. It would be a fine album too, if not for the controversial (and weak) Cascio tracks.

Sounds like a great idea :D Seems like it's the only way to make "MICHAEL" authentic...

The only problem is I already have Xscape as the opening track on my last MJ Album called "Resurrection"... lol

we complain about teh tracks cuz after BAD it is well known that Mike always put the maximum songs on the album ,70 minutes! ! and after 9 years only 10 songs thats lame! they did that so they can release more albums! and even include the 3 fake unfinished songs on this 1!

l am really sorry for this shit really
if without breaking news it would be an awesome album like others.

Where your children are this track is unbelievable why they don't release it.
Place with no name too.

you know my feeling now l want to throw my self from the window.

lol 50 cent, i don't really enjoy his music. but i guess they're continuing the trend of having a rapper on each of his recent albums.

do you know where your children are - guys this sounds like some early 90s song, i'm surprised you guys expected it to be on the tracklist.

Have you thought that they are keeping other songs for future releases or you want an ultimate collection II right away?

Like i said..they are gonna milk this as much as they can. It's only gonna contain 10 songs. Why not just 12 tot 15 songs? That's all i am saying. And the fact that they simply ignore everything and put BN and Monster on it, is laughable...at the end of the day, no fan has any say in this.

Also a song that has already been released...I like the way you love me...WTF?

LOL

That's the dumbest post EVER !!! :puke::doh::eek::tease: LOL

So think about this - before Thriller is released people hear a demo of TGIM don't like it and goes - OK, if that's the first single I'm NOT going to buy the album! HAHA  STUPID ...

MJ himself has reportedly asked for HMH to be the lead single. MJ should have left behind a note/letter with that request.

TGIM was a "weak" first single - that was MJ's choice NOT SONY's
HMH is a good first single - that was MJ's choice NOT SONY's

Snap out of this HATE SONY thing you've going on.

this is a discussion board. pls allow people to have their opinions without insult

You where all moaning on the fact that at one time they where going to put older songs on a new album, now you continue when they put the latest recordings!! Be it fully finished now.:doh::doh::doh:

T

I'd be perfectly fine with 10 songs if I believed they were all sung by Michael Jackson. Or if they had dumped the Cascio tracks for better material, some of which we've heard.

I see=P well can't blame you, Xscape is an awesome song and i actually hoped it would be released on the album...

Now we get a couple of fake tracks on an album we've waited ages for =\

Us MJ fans never do get a break do we ?

Haha... great!! how much further can he screw up an already screwed up song...

They can even add vocals from "Barbie Girl- Aqua" to the songs-BN & Monster, for all I care.....

But hopefully they leave the authentic MJ songs alone.

I agree, if it were 100% MJ and not these controversial recordings, i'd be fine with it too. But not they ARE on it, there should have been more on it , more songs to compensate for that.

I really dislike having I like the way you love me on it as well, it's not even unreleased anymore. Shit's a joke!!!!

am I the only person whos glad Breaking News is on the album?? I love the track, so what if all the vocals arent Michael, hes definately on there singing thats enough for me, we all new alot of songs that are going to be released werent Michaels finished versions and needed to be completed, I would rather hear a song that wasnt totally Michaels vision than nothing atall, at the end of the day I enjoy the song.

No you are not alone. As it is one of Michael's very last songs and I think it is really a good one... I am glad it will be on the album, I am glad the world gets to know it at least approximately. More we cannot get, there is no more of BN, so it's sufficient for me. Although... I'ld liked we could get the demo. But it's alright if not, I have faith in BN. I can easily live with Porte in the backing vocals and the lead is MJ however I sometimes still doubt there could be a little of filling in... if there was the need, but I can live with it. The song is too good to lock it away.
And this is no time for a anti Sony war because crusades from the past don't have to damage the succes of a MJ album, even posthumous... Neither it is a time to think "Michael wouldn't have released it". Because, sadly, the situation is so much different now. R.I.P. Michael and thank you so so so much for your music, your beautiful personality and soul and for giving us always such a great time!
Go Michael, take the album to n°1! (Sony things are not terribly important right now, Michael is important!)
Just my opinion, and I, you, we are not alone!

If a song like, (I Like) The Way You Love Me is being re-released then why not "We've had enough"??? Thats song needs to be released as a single with a Video.

50 cent? What was MJ thinking, when he recorded song with him? 50 is overrated and his music is really really bad.

And why is there a song on it that has already been released 6 years ago? It's simmilar to what MJ did with Come Together on HIStory and i never understood that...

Hold my hand and Breaking news are both very average tracks, i'm really dissapointed. I hope that the other songs on album will be much more quality.

2. Hollywood Tonight
3. Keep Your Head Up
6. Best Of Joy
8. (I Can’t Make It) Another Day (Featuring Lenny Kravitz)
9. Behind The Mask
10. Much Too Soon

So this are the songs that could be good, as the other 4 are very average.
I cant wait to hear those songs, another day sounds very good, and I'm sure that other songs will be good. I really hope that MJ is on all of them.

BTW, is there any info on when those songs were recorded? And which songs are by cascio, beside BN and Monster? :)

Stop complaining for heaven's sake! Some people in here will always find something to complain about!
If you don't want the album don't buy it!
At least let the rest of us be happy about it and actually ENJOY it!

A letter requesting the Estate. Now why wud he do that? Surely Mike did'nt kwn he was dying....

arggh Breaking News & Monster :(

looking forward to the rest. this album was never going to be perfect as Miciahels not here to over see it.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. Notorious B.I.G. and Shaq were huge in 1995, and Biggie was even bigger by the time 'Invincible' came out and MJ used him on 'Unbreakable'. And I don't really understand the distinction you make between singing and rapping -- isn't any collaboration just that? A joint effort between two artists? Regardless of whether the person sings, raps or plays guitar? Also, will.i.am did actually rap on 'The Girl Is Mine'.

ITs the first album after 9 years afer his death...and the name of the album is MICHAEL! sorry but 50 cent just dont belong on there!!! + that track is suppose to be fake! so
Well, his 6th solo album was called "Thriller" and yet I didn't think there was anything particularly scary about his duet with Paul McCartney... Come on now, using an albums title to explain why another artist shouldn't be on there? Not really a valid argument.
