Yes!! That's how it will be, because that's how it always was with new releases. Michael will work his magic, even after death. I'm excited to hear every single track!!

I can't believe some of you will not be buying this album because of maybe 2 questionable songs (BN is actually way more convincing in its new version). You will just cause bad sales for MJ and most importantly you will miss out on all the fun and excitement. I wish I could change your minds. Negativity will never bring you anything good, really. Just celebrate and keep Michaeling!!
 
After the fiasco of Breaking News, I've gotta say that this announcement has me excited all over again. I like how some of the leaked clips aren't included - makes these other songs more of a curiousity pre-release, while we know we have some GREAT tracks to look forward to in the coming 7 years.

If I Like The Way You Love me is the same as TUC version, why would they alter the title? For that reason alone, I'm sure it must be a new mix (not that there was anything wrong with the original), much like how Come Together had 2 different versions, the latter appearing on HIStory after already being RTT's B-side.

Michael Jackson duets with Akon, 50 Cent, Lenny Kravitz on next album


Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- A Michael Jackson duet with Akon recorded in 2007 will be released Monday morning as the first official single from the late pop star's next album, Epic Records announced Friday.
"Michael," Jackson's first album of new music in nine years, also includes duets with rapper 50 Cent and rocker Lenny Kravitz, according to Epic. It will be released on December 14.


"Hold My Hand" featuring Akon was chosen to be the first single because the estate found a handwritten note from Jackson that indicated his desire that it be the first single on his next project, the company said.
The song is familiar to Jackson fans because an unfinished version of the song leaked onto the Internet in 2008, but Akon returned to the studio to complete a new version, Epic said.



"The world was not ready to hear 'Hold My Hand' when it leaked a couple years ago," Akon said. "We were devastated about it."
The song is now in "its final state," Akon said.
"It has become an incredible, beautiful, anthemic song," he said. "I'm so proud to have had the chance to work with Michael, one of my all-time idols."


The song will be unveiled on www.michaeljackson.com at 12:01 a.m. ET Monday and then will be available for purchase by digital download, the company said.


The 10-track album will mostly include "songs that Michael worked on recently. There are also earlier compelling tracks," Epic said. It includes "Breaking News," a song streamed online last week as a preview.
While Epic did not list the producers involved, it did provide a track list for the album:

Didn't they plan to release 2 unreleaed albums?
this and another one?

Maybe those ( a place with no name, Carry on, Do you know were your children are) will be on the next album
 
I'm so happy about this. Maybe 'Another day' would have been a better choice as a first single, but 'Hold my hand' is also a good song. I'm so sorry for those who can't enjoy this.

I was hoping this song will be included too, Michael vocals sound so great in that song.
Anyway, I cant wait to hear Another Day, Much Too Soon these are the ones I'm really excited about and you know what? Hold My Hand too! ;) lol

Amazing! I just hope that they re-work BN with more MJ vocals and less James Porte and I hope that that Monster that we've heard is not the real Monster.

ohhh i wanted Where Youre Children Are!!!!! but its ok, maybe it will be out next album... and wasnt Hold My Hand allready released??? i have an akon mixtape cd with it in there!!! or this one will be different??
 
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say why I think Hold My Hand is a stronger first single than Another Day, in my humble opinion. :)

--Akon is hotter now than Lenny Kravitz (no disrespect, I like LK)
--The sentiment of HMH is so beautiful and could be nice around the holidays
--Sentiment might also help heal the fans who are hurting (no promises, I'm hurting and I have no idea if this'll help, but we'll see)
--It seems there might be a video & MJ is associated with amazing short films
--It may have a easier time on R&B radio, which has been kind to MJ is the recent past, from Butterflies to celebrations of him after 6/25


If I were calling the shots I wouldn't put it first on the album though; like Hess said, MJ albums have always started with an uptempo. And all but DSTYGE have some kind of bite to the lyrics and delivery (Bad, Jam, Scream, BOTDF, Unbreakable all have a kind of amazing inspired fury, MJ-style, which I love as an opener).
 
am I the only person whos glad Breaking News is on the album?? I love the track, so what if all the vocals arent Michael, hes definately on there singing thats enough for me, we all new alot of songs that are going to be released werent Michaels finished versions and needed to be completed, I would rather hear a song that wasnt totally Michaels vision than nothing atall, at the end of the day I enjoy the song.

And the most embarrassing thing is calling the album "MICHAEL" it should have been called "MICHAEL AND FRIENDS" or something.
 
Just few question:

Cascio tracks are: Breaking News, Monster and Keep Your Head Up. Was 50 Cent intended to be on this track or his vocals were recordrd later?

3T and Jackie complained just on 3 songs so that means that Hollywood Tonight and Best of Joy are not Cascio tracks. What do we know about these 2 tracks? When MJ recordrd them?

Is (I Like) the Way You Love Me finished version of the song from The Ultimate Collection?

Behind The Mask and Much Too Soon are the only older songs on the album? Do we know when MJ recorded them?

I Agree . I will only buy the real songs on iTunes . Other people might be fools by going out purchasing fake songs but I will never ever be convinced that BN is Michael . Also , I've heard the snippet of Monster on YouTube and I actually cracked up laughing at how bad the singer was .
They are making a mockery of vulnerable fans .

But I am sure there is a handful of real songs on there , so I will just purchase them on iTunes ....

then sorry to say this but you are selfish.. we are talking about Michael's legacy here. Lets just stop thinking about ourselves and what we want but what the artist, Michael Jackson WANTED and how he'd feel when someone else is singing under his name cuz that's what really matter.

Yes, indeed. With the late announcements as well, where is the buildup? Has it been 9 years already since 'invincible'. Incredible. I am still on the fence regarding buying the album or not. I am curious about the people's reaction when this is released, though.
