Michael Jackson feat. 50 cent - MONSTER - its the real deal says 50 -READ!

I hate to say this... but doing that lower pitch by a semi-tone, at some parts, it does sound like him. Like, when he doesn't do his high voice, just in between. o_O idek how to explain, forget it.
But yeah still, overall everything is questionable.

When 3T and family said new tracks arent MJ, I scoffed at them thinking they were crazy. First line of BN, I owed em an apology.

Really? No. It basically sounds the same, but ever-so-slightly deeper.

People who are not tone-deaf (and I don't mean you, it's just a general comment) are sometimes surprised how much deeper or higher a semi-tone actually sounds.

Eh, I can't detect much of MJ in Malachi. I'll admit that it does sounds similar, but it wouldn't say that it's him on the Cascio tracks. As I said, you just can't change my perspective. My friends at school say I'm INCREDIBLY stubborn!!! :D

Okay, I've listened to different versions now, with lower pitches. But it still doesn't sound like him to me. I'm sorry. At one second I said "HEY! THAT SOUNDS LIKE HIM!"... until I went back and realized that was a YRMW scream. -__-

A) SONY and the Estate has released a statement saying that it's him, with the latter naming 6 people who are very respected in the music world confirming it's authenticity, as well as Dorian Holley, MJ's Vocal Director.

B) As I previously stated, I believe it to be somewhat psychological. We were given the idea of a fake MJ song, something we hadn't thought of in an official product. While we brushed it off, when one of the songs in question came online, our natural instinct is to listen intently to try and listen to any abnormalities. Given that the song is practically a demo brought to "completion", MJ's vocals are not what we expect from an album song. Because of this, many people were confused, and other people believe it to be fake altogether. It can be assumed that the Cascio tracks didn't have much development by MJ himself in terms of vocals, so the Estate has done the best that they could considering that these tracks are some of his last recorded work.

That's the best I can answer, yet somehow I got the feeling someone would use my questions against my argument... Oh, well... I brought it upon myself.
A) That isn't concrete proof. They could have their own agenda (money)...

B) For the love of God, how many times must you people state this as though we're deluded conspiracy theorists?

I don't hang around this forum much or follow anything related to these leaked tracks. I just popped in and listened to these songs one by one without seeing anyone's opinion, nor having any background info on the songs.

I instantly concluded that Breaking News, Keep Your Head Up, Monster and All I Need were fake.

I also instantly concluded that Another Day, Hold My Hand, Much Too Soon, Do You Know Where Your Children Are and Slave To The Rhythm were 100% legit.

By your logic, we'd find every leaked song to be illegitimate, but that's not the case. Not one person claimed the non-Cascio songs to be fake.

For me there's only two possibilities really....

1- Imposter , completely different person singing.
2- They have fucked around so much with the vocals(pitch and what not)
that it doesn't sound like Michael anymore.

In any way, this whole situation is utterly pathetic and crap. If these vocals were so damn un-finished, they should have been kept like that and not been put on cd. If they were so unfinished, Michael had that for a reason. He probably didn't think these were good enough.

I'm guessing you were responding to me. With respect, I wasn't trying to change your perspective, nor was I challenging your opinion, I just wanted to know what your ears told you, without any defensiveness or interference from the "reasoning" part of the brain.

You know this song has changed me from 'it is MJ's voice' to completely the opposite view, its crazy!

I think I just wanted it to be him and that they couldn't possibly do this, but the difference between these 3 songs and Gangsta, Slave to the Rhythm and Do You Know Where Your Children are is clear as daylight to be frank.

MJ songs have a certain 'magic' about them, it doesn't matter whether its a demo, some mumblings or a proper track, its got a feeling to it, it has emotions. Fall Again is an incomplete demo yet it's one of my favourite songs, his voice even in that 1 vocal take stuns me.

Blue Gangster, Slave & Do You Know are just.....Michael. I don't really know how to describe it, but you put them against songs like Who Is It, Billie Jean, songs that define MJ's voice, they fit purely because its got MJ's magic, just like Fall Again and all of the other rough demos we've heard. Breaking News, KYHU and Monster just sound weird. I actually defended some of the songs from Cascio but Monster has really opened my eyes.

You guys are so right when you say that people have NEVER questioned MJ's vocals on other songs other than the Cascio tracks, it says it all really. When MJ sings a song, he really feels it, you can sense him grooving to 'STTR' and his aggression on Gangster just as you can feel his pain on Earth Song and the fantasy of Thriller, you don't feel ANYTHING on these tracks.

A) - You have no concrete proof that it is not MJ. It's implied acceptance -- if none of the people mentioned in the Estate's statement have come forward to say that what the Estate claimed is true, then I'm sure it is. Same principle as "innocent until proven guilty." You have zero proof. None. Your ears don't count.

B) - Until you all stop acting as such. You said it yourself - you think any Cascio track is fake. You're not objective, you immediately throw up the "FAKE" flag anytime a Cascio track comes up.

Give me a break people. It's Michael. Enjoy the song. If you don't think it is, then fine. Put either do something about it and find a way to PROVE IT or shut up and let people who like the song enjoy it in peace. You have your own thread for this nonsense.

Oh, go away! LOL. Trying to trick people with a video that says it's MJ when it's a Malachi song!

Please give me some credit. If that's a trick, it's an awfully bad trick. The song is well known around these parts and one look at the comments would've told you it's Malachi.

I'll tell you what my ears told me, it is not JM. They don't sound the same to me. However, I do admit this song make me have to listen hard to hear MJ. And I do hear him sometimes. Othertimes, I think it is a stretch. But I don't hear JM.

A) Those people were extremely trusted by MJ, I don't believe that they'd sell out, somehow.

B) I'm not saying you're all conspiracy theorists, but you kinda proved my point. The songs called into question were the Cascio tracks. Ergo, when we were told that "Breaking News", a CASCIO track was being streamed, we were all sure it wasn't fake, and when we heard it, we wanted to prove the Jackson brothers & Co. wrong by listening to it intently. When some people thought it to be fake because MJ wasn't giving it 110%. Because of this, everyone was shady towards the Cascio tracks, we have no reason to believe that other leaked songs are fake, only the Cascio tracks because of the quality of the vocals.

B) - Until you all stop acting as such. You said it yourself - you think any Cascio track is fake. You're not objective, you immediately throw up the "FAKE" flag anytime a Cascio track comes up.
No I didn't. As I said, I have no background information on the songs before I listen to them. Only after I listen to them do I find out whether it's a Cascio track or not, and isn't it such a coincidence that these Cascio tracks are the "controversial" ones?

Perfectly worded, exactly my thoughts and opinion as well. It indeed is true, NOBODY questioned any of these songs like Blue Gangsta,Slave to the rythm, Do you know where your children are,Much too soon and so on....indeed, it says it all.

Oh, come on, I saw what you did there, lol. You posted this link:

Instead of, let's say this one:

Cheap trick! Wait, isn't that a band?

Yeah, well, it was a bad trick. Nice try though. ;) When I came to this board a couple of weeks ago, I had never heard of that Malachi guy. And not everybody reads the comments on youtube.

I wasn't asking you to read the title, I was asking you to listen to the first verse. Please stop being so suspicious. It's as if you think people are going to mistake Jason Malachi for Michael Jackson, in which case you're kind of shooting yourself in the foot.

I think i'm going to cry.
Bwahaha, next we'll have MJ fans claiming Justin Bieber is better than MJ.

Speaking of Justin Bieber, I'd honestly rather listen to his songs than these fake tracks.

I won't even answer that last part, because a) you tried to trick people, that has nothing to do with being "suspicious", that's too obvious - and b) you are way too serious for me, didn't you see that I was mainly joking?

Just one comment - didn't people mistake Malachi for MJ for quite some time a few years ago? To the point of saying JM = MJ?
