thanks for posting tht. i dnt really think mj cared tht much about neverland anyway. i just think he held on to the part he did cause financially it was in his best interest
 
The soul of Neverland flew; they first dragged its shell out of it by means of devilish intents. It'll never be the same. It's a house now, just an empty building that some want to revamp to their own different liking. So, on second thought, I don't care about Neverland anymore... Sadly.

For some reason, I think whatever happens to thaat beautiful and peaceful place, it's going to end up with parking lots, McDonalds, and Walmart. Sadly for the people in Los Olivos who spent so many years with Michael in the neigborhood not disturbing the place. I hope they have a say in all this.
A school of music or parties, whatever, this place is doomed for me. So is the whole area.

While I admit my previous post is not accurate, I quote the 50% figure from another fan's post. I don't think I make things up. Colony Capital does not own 100% interest of Neverland. According to the news article you posted, Colony Capital bought the $24.5 million loan, not the property. By assuming the loan, Colony Capital became a partial owner of the property. I don't know the details of such financial arrangement. So, I have no idea what percentage Colony actaully owns.

The Neverland ranch is valued at much more than $24.5 million. If the property is sold, the Estate will make more profit than Colony. Based on the article you posted, there is no way to tell whether Colony is the majority owner.

Do we know whether the Estate is able to buy the stake back from Colony Capital? If the Estate can buy back the loan, the Estate will have control of the property.

Anyway, I agree with Alma. The soul of Neverland is gone. Now, it's just a ranch with an empty house and another piece of real estate which people want to make a profit from.
 
According to Joseph Jackson, Neverland is co-owned by Colony Capital, he said also that CC could not make decisions on any matters regarding the ranch's futur without mutual concertation, it needs operational agreements between CC and Michael Jackson Familly Trust. Althought J. Jackson did not specify any stake percent.
