Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

'KYHU' is the most offensive and the most obvious of all of the fakes. It actually makes me feel sick when I have to hear it.

Yep, its like the singer (whoever he is) is trying really hard to sound like Michael but fails big time. All the Cascio tracks make me sick..can't listen to them anymore.

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

Any Michael Jackson songs you can compare it to? Because there isn't one that i can compare it to.

Listen to those slow MJ tracks. 'Fly Away', 'Keep The Faith', 'Man In The Mirror'... those magnificent, breathy vocals. That unique phrasing - ''a summer's dis-reee-garrd, a broken botttle taaaap". The trademark hiccups and breathing patterns. The voice resonating in his nasal cavity. The SOUL.

Then listen to 'she's working two jobs... she cries the tears away'.

It's an absolute disgrace.

Cry's the most obvious comparison I guess. But to me I hear more MJ on KYHU than Hollywood Tonight. When I first played the album, I presumed HT was one of the Cascio tracks, not KYHU.

I'm not saying HT isn't MJ, I just think that's more removed from his vocal style than KYHU.

It's interesting, this one because I don't find it as obvious as the other 2 culprits yet so many people do.

You know with HT, these vocals DO sound processed but still I hear MJ. So I get what you mean

KYHU tries to imitate the MJ style, that's true, but with no success (not convincing at all)

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

HT sounds like Teddy Riley deliberately trying to match the vocal track to the Cascio ones. It's clearly Michael on HT, however.

'KYHU' sounds nothing like 'Cry'.

What Teddy Riley did on HT is what I considered "finishing/completing the songs" would be (I am totally satisfied although I can tell it was unfinished- good work by Teddy though). NOT what happened with the Cascio tracks, that is just fraud (imo)

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

There are NO parts in The Cascio tracks where you can really say "THAT'S MICHAEL, NO DOUBT".

Take Shout for example. A song many of the believers say "if this would've been a Cascio track, you non-believers would have said the same thing".

How can we preach, when all we make this world to be
Is a living hell torturing our minds.
We all must unite, to turn darkness to light,
And the love in our hearts will shine.

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

I wonder why there's a strange gap everytime before he goes into vibrato, like "wayaaaaay". Sounds like the vibratos are cut and pasted.

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

^
and "stalking me" that's Michael ad-libbing like he always did.

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

Boys and girls, these endless SUBJECTIVE perceptions like "Oh, he would never have written this" etc. are leading to nothing.

You can't know what Michael would write or not.

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

I don't like this debate. Lets forget about the new album for a while. Listen to Thriller instead, great song.Happy Holidays!

You mean like this?

:boohoo:. Oh god, excuse me while I go dry my eyes.

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

To me its Michael. It gave me goosebumps listening to it, something only Michael's voice does to me. Everything about it screams Michael to me.

Agreed with this. It's one of my favorite song on the album.

Yes, exactly like that and it changes my mind a little bit, and my screen is now so blurred that I can't see a damn thing, and can someone pass me the tissue?

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

this song is stuck in my head for some reason ...

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

i dont like this song, and i posted a thread earlyer that i believe i know the melody in the course. i now believe its r kelly the artist who has a song with the same thing

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

It's a beautiful song. Without a doubt it's MJ. Jason Malachi and other impersonators can imitate some of Michael's vocals but to do an entire song like this they simply couldn't do it. This is Michael Jackson 100%. I've never doubted this song at all. The vocals seem like they are auto-tuned or have some different effect then we are used of. But overall, MJ stands out like a sore thumb.

I love it!

Are we no longer forbidden from stating our opinions as facts?

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

We are all forbidden from directly attacking or insulting others. People are allowed to state their opinions. You've heard mine...

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

How can mj stick out like a sore thumb on something you claim is 100% him? What a strange thing to say.

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

Out of all the Cascio tracks, this is by far the most convincing, but unfortunately not Michael as far as I can tell. A nice song all the same, but not Michael.

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

I agree, this sounds like MJ but it still has the Malachi vibrato and style to it. A lot of how this song is executed says it isn't Michael... plus the Earth Song clips towards the end shows that something is up with this track along with Monster which has some other clips from other MJ songs, but BN is by far the most convincing track to me too, it's a cool beat with some awesome vocals but still it doesn't have the MJ style vibrato... I mean by watching some videos and doing some research and even seeing how all of the Eddie Cascio trax are controversial, in my opinion, I 100% think and uphold as a fact that the 3 tracks are not real... I mean come on, what's the chance so much controversy would surround all 3 of these songs given by this same guy and all of them have the lil' "other song clips," and the singing sounds different than the rest of the MJ tracks on Michael... In my opinion I hope Sony releases no more "MJ" songs by Eddie Cascio.

Re: Keep Your Head Up - The Great Debate

#1. The Earth Song ad-libs aren't included in the album version, other than the "ho's" toward the end.

#2. It's been said melodyne causes that vibrato, most have come to the conclusion that the vibrato is merely a result of studio technology. "Monster" makes it blatantly obvious that the vibrato is done by a computer.

#3. I don't see how something can be a fact when it hasn't been proven yet. It's their word against yours, which is far from a fact.
